Keep this operating manual in a safe place in case you would like to refer to it later. If you pass this item on to someone else, pass on this manual as well. - Disposal Intended Use This thermometer/hygrometer is used to measure room temperature and humidity and thus to control the room climate. It is not suitable for commercial use. Safety This item can be used by children 8 years of age and above, as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capacities or lacking experience and knowledge, if they are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the item and understand the dangers that may arise. Children must not play with the item. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children, unless they27 p. 4026
are 8 years of age or older and are being supervised. Batteries can be life-threatening. Therefore, keep batteries out of reach of small children. If the battery has been swallowed or has ended up in the body in any other way, seek medical help immediately. Failure to do so within 2 hours may result in severe internal burns that could cause death. DANGER for children Keep children away from packaging material. Risk of choking if swallowed. RISK of fire/burning and/or explosion There is a risk of explosion if batteries are replaced incorrectly. Replace batteries only with the same or equivalent battery type. Observe the “Technical Data”.28 Batteries must not be recharged, reactivated by other means, dismantled, thrown into re, or short-circuited. Otherwise there is an increased risk of explosion and leakage; furthermore, gases may escape! Avoid contact of the battery uid with skin, eyes, and mucosa. In case of contact, rinse the aected areas right away with plenty of clean water and consult a doctor immediately. BEWARE of material damage Do not immerse the item in water or other liquids and protect it from strong shocks and vibrations. Remove the battery when it is exhausted or if you will not use the item for an extended period of time. This prevents damage that29
may be caused by leakage. When inserting and changing batteries, pay attention to the correct polarity (+/-). Do not subject the batteries to extreme conditions by e.g. storing them on heaters or exposed to direct sunlight. Increased risk of leakage! Clean the battery and device contacts, as needed, before inserting the battery. Do not make any modications to the product. Repairs must only be carried out by a specialist workshop. Start-up Removing iso-strips
1. Turn the battery cover counterclockwise and
remove it with a coin or similar object all the way to the stop.
2. Remove the iso-strip.

2. Slide the battery (CR 2032) against the
contact spring under the two metal retaining brackets and push downwards. The plus pole (+) must point upwards.33
3. Place the battery compartment cover and
turn it clockwise all the way to the stop. Suggestions for changing the battery: The batteries must be changed when nothing is shown on the display. Only use the battery type specied in the “Technical Data”. Dispose of old batteries in an environmentally friendly manner, see “Disposal”. Use As soon as the thermometer/hygrometer is supplied with power, the display shows the following: Room temperature in °C Humidity in percentage Comfort indicator in the form of a smiley34 Time (after manual setting) Setting the time
1. Press SET until the hour indicator flashes.
5. Press SET to exit.
Setting up the device The device has a base and a hanging loop for wall mounting. Change temperature unit − Press the DOWN button 1x to display the temperature in °Celsius or °Fahrenheit. Changing the time display (12-/24-hour) − Press the UP button 1x to display the time in 12-hour (AM/PM) or 24-hour format.35
Comfort indicator The comfort indicator consists of temperature (T) and humidity (L).
