Your ADE height measuring rod is a quality product. For measuring the length of adults and children the height measuring rod can either be used at your ADE column scale or can be fixed directly to the wall. Wall assembly: 4 spacers 2 screws (for assembling to wood or metal walls) 2 dowels S6 Screw set for wall mounting incl. wall dowels,

Assembling to the wall:

1) Place the black spacers into the open ends of the foot positioner. The spacer must

be placed with the long distance piece on the side with the boreholes.

2) Push the foot positioner gently into the designated lower end of the measuring rod.

Fix same with the two small screws.

3) Select a plane and level location at the wall.

4) Pull out the measuring rod until both boreholes are free.

5) Place the measuring rod with a water-level vertical at the wall.

6) Mark the drill holes at the wall through the wholes at the measuring rod.

7) Drill using a matching drill bit.

8) Insert the two anchors into the wall.

9) Insert now the two long screws through the holes into the measuring rod.

10) Put the round spacers over the screws between the rod and the wall.

11) Screw the screws into the anchors very tightly.

12) The foot positioner must be supported against the wall by the two black spacers.

Safety advice Follow the instructions of the Operating Manual. After finishing the measurement make sure to fold the measuring tongue down to avoid danger of injury. Operating Instructions

1) Adjust the measuring tongue to a horizontal position.

2) Slide the measuring tongue up to over the length of the person to be measured.

3) Place the person to be measured under the measuring tongue.

4) Slide the measuring tongue down to the person’s head.

All moveable parts – batteries, cables, mains units, rechargeable batteries etc. – are excluded. Warranty does not include natural wear, damages caused by incorrect or negligent handling, overuse or unsuitable or improper storage. The cost of transport will be borne by the customer should the equipment be located anywhere other than the customer’s premises. In the event of transport damage, claims under warranty can be accepted subject to using the complete original packaging and the equipment secured the way it was packed and secured originally. All the packaging should therefore be retained. Any warranty claim will be rejected if the equipment is opened by persons not authorized expressively by ADE to do so. Customers abroad are kindly requested to contact their local dealer for any warranty claim, customer service and spare parts.
