Safety
- This product may be used by children aged 8 and above, as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capacities or lacking experience and knowledge if they are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the product and understand the risks that may arise.
- Children must not play with the product.
- Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children, unless they are 8 years of age or older and are being supervised.
- The device contains a lithium battery. Avoid dismantling, throwing into fire or short-circuiting the battery. Risk of explosion! Protect the built-in battery from excessive heat. The battery is firmly installed in the device and cannot and must not be replaced or removed. Improper removal of the battery may result in a risk of explosion. If the battery is defective, contact our service or a specialist workshop.
DANGER for children
- Keep packaging material away from children. There is a risk of choking if swallowed.
DANGER from electricity
- Do not make any modifications to the item. Only allow repairs to be carried out at a specialist workshop, since inexpertly repaired devices can present hazards to the user.
- Do not open the housing and do not insert any objects into the housing apertures.
BEWARE of material damage
- Do not immerse the scale in water or other liquids.
- Place the scale on a stable, even surface.
- Do not overload the scale. Pay attention to the "Technical data".
- Place objects on the scale exclusively for the purpose of weighing.
- Protect the scale from strong shocks and vibrations.
- Do not make any modifications to the product. Only allow repairs to be carried out by a specialist workshop. Repairs carried out improperly can considerably endanger the user.
- Do not place the scale in the vicinity of devices that emit electromagnetic radiation such as mobile phones, radio equipment, etc. This may result in incorrect display indications or malfunctions.
- Do not place any objects on the scale if you are, for example, storing it in a cupboard. The sensitive measuring electronics in the scale could be damaged by heavy objects.
- There are feet on the underside of the scale. Since surfaces are made from various materials and are treated with diverse care products, it cannot be completely excluded that some of these substances contain ingredients that attack and soften the feet of the device. If necessary, place a non-slip pad under the scale.
Intended use
The scale is designed for weighing food and objects at home in the quantities that are usual in that context.
The maximum load capacity of 5 kg must not be exceeded. The scale is unsuitable for commercial use, e.g. in bakeries, restaurants, etc.

Tip for coffee connoisseurs: This scale with a drip timer can also be used as a coffee scale.

The charging process is indicated by a battery symbol and an animated bar indicator.
- The charging time is approx. 1.5 hours.
- With the battery fully charged, the device can be operated for approx. 8-9 hours.
- If "LO" appears on the display or if the screen fades out, the battery needs to be recharged.
Operation
Weighing
- Place the scale on an even, firm and dry surface. Carefully position the scale in order to avoid hard shocks to the sensors/feet and therefore any damage.
- Switch on the scales by pressing with a little force on the weighing surface for 2 seconds.

After a while the scale will stabilise (display shows ○) and "0" will appear in the right part of the display.
-
Choose the desired unit of measurement by repeatedly touching UNIT.
You can choose between "g" (grammes), "oz" (ounces), "ML" (millilitres) and "lb oz" (fluid ounces).
Pay attention to the indication on the display.

If you want to weigh liquids, select "ML" or "lb oz".

If you want to weigh items in a container, place an empty container on the weighing surface. Otherwise, continue as described in point 7.

Press OFF/TARE. The display shows "0 g", "0.00 oz", "0 ML" or "0:00 lb oz" depending on the selected unit of measurement.

Put the item or substance to be weighed into the container or place it onto the weighing surface. The measured weight is shown on the display.
-
Read off the measured weight and remove the item or substance from the container or the weighing surface.
Resetting the scale to zero
If the display still shows a minus value (symbol ● even though the weighing surface is empty (for example, if the scale is not optimally positioned or a TARE value is still displayed; see next section), you must reset the scale to zero.
-Briefly press OFF/TARE once.
When the scale has correctly been reset to zero, the display shows "○".
Using tare function (TARE)
This function is practical when baking, for example, if you would like to add another ingredient to the ingredients already on the scale.

- If an item on the weighing surface weighs less than 50 grammes, the display will show (zero function).
-
If an item on the weighing surface weighs more than 50 grammes, the display will show Ⓣ (tare function).
-
Press OFF/TARE to reset the scale to "0". The display shows "○" or ™.
- Add the new item or substance. The display shows the added item weight.
- Repeat the process whenever you would like to add more ingredients. The process can be repeated as often as needed until the maximum capacity of 5 kg is reached.
Switching off the scale
-Press and hold down OFF/TARE until the indication on the display goes out.

After approx. 60 seconds of inactivity, the scale will turn off automatically, with two beeps.

All weighing functions are available even when the timer or stopwatch is running.
Timer function
The timer allows you to start a countdown. Max. adjustable duration: 9 minutes and 59 seconds.
- Turn on the scale (press the weighing surface).
- Keep Ⓛ pressed until the "0" on the left of the display starts to flash.

You can speed up display of minutes and seconds by holding down UNIT or ZERO.
- Use UNIT or ZERO to set minutes.
- Tap Ⓤ."00" flashes in the display.
- Use UNIT or ZERO to set seconds.
- Tap ⏻ to start the countdown.
After the countdown has elapsed, a 60-second alarm is triggered. After that the scale turns off.
- Press UNIT, ZERO or OFF/TARE to turn off the alarm in advance.

-To stop a running timer, press
-To resume the timer, press ^L again.
-To stop a running timer and reset it to zero, press ZERO.
Stopwatch function
The maximum measurement period is 9 minutes and 59 seconds. After this time has elapsed, the scale turns off.
- Turn on the scale (press the weighing surface).
- Tap Ⓛ to start the stopwatch.
- Tapping Ⓤ is used to stop and to resume the stopwatch.
- To reset the stopwatch, press ZERO. The display is reset to "0 00".
Cleaning

NOTE on material damage
- Do not immerse the scale in water or other liquids. - Never use harsh, scouring or abrasive cleaning agents or the like to clean the scale. Otherwise, the surface could be scratched.
The scale should be cleaned immediately after use, especially after its contact with fat, spices, vinegar, and other strongly flavoured and/or coloured foodstuffs.
-Wipe the scale as needed with a slightly damp soft cloth. Avoid contact with citric acid.

Disposing of the packaging

Dispose of the packaging according to type. Dispose of cardboard with waste paper and of films with recyclable materials.

At the end of its life, the product must be disposed of in an appropriate way.

Standard and rechargeable batteries should not be disposed of along with household waste
All batteries and rechargeable batteries must be brought to a local or district collection point or to the retailer.
Such batteries and rechargeable batteries can thus be disposed of in an environmentally friendly way.
Attention!
This device contains a battery that is permanently installed for safety reasons and cannot be removed without destroying the housing.
