SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Hints on Connection
- Read all instructions carefully.
- Check the product rating label and make sure the water urn voltage is t for your outlet voltage before using.
- The plug should be connected to the earth block.
- Do not use the water boiler if the cord or plug is damaged, it should be replaced before using.
- If the water boiler malfunctions or is damaged, please call customer services for checking and repairing.
- Switch off the button before removing the plug.
- Always switch off before trying to move the water boiler.
- Grasp the plug when you remove it. Do not pull the cord.
- Do not let the power cord hang over edge of a table.
- Place the water boiler securely at the centre of the table.
- Do not switch on the water boiler if the water tank is empty.
- Do not place the water boiler near a gas cooker, electric burner or heated oven.
- Power cord and plug must not touch water in the case of a leakage.
- Please remove the plug from outlet, and cool off the plug before cleaning.
- Press the Switch Off button, and remove the plug after using.
- This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as: staff kitchen areas in shops, of ces and other working environments, farm houses, by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments, bed and breakfast type environments. Do not use this appliance outdoors.
- The appliance requires a 13Amp -16Amp plug.
- The appliance is only to be installed in locations where it can be overseen by trained personnel.
- Never leave the unit unattended. Instructions for safe use CAUTION Risk of bruns! The surface of the water boiler gets very hot during use. Do not touch the surface.
- Do not remove the lid while boiling.
- Position the lid so that steam is directed away from the handle.
- Do not carry the urn while it contains water.11
- If the appliance is overlled, boiling water may overow.
- If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a qualied person in order to avoid a hazard.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance..
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years. Children shall not play with the appliance.
- The appliance is not suitable for installation in an area where a water jet could be used.
- The appliance must not be cleaned by a water jet. The appliance must not be immersed in water or liquid.
Open the lid and pour in the water. Make sure the water is below the “FULL” water level indicator. 2 Connect the plug to the power outlet. 3 As long as the power is connected, the LED screen will keep lighting.
This device has 2 switches for power selection. There are 1600W, 900W and 2500W choices. 5 Rotate the control knob for desired temperature selection. 6 110°C means constantly boiling.
This device has a 120mins timer. The timer is connected to power. When it is in "ON" mode, it means the timer is not counting, but the machine will keep working as normal. When it is on "0" mode, the element will stop working. 8 Choose your ideal time for heating the contents of the urn.12
Mashing and Boiling Process
First clean all the parts of your brewing equipment, it is very important for satisfactory results. 2 Fit the Bazooka lter to the tap inlet. 3 Assemble the false bottom, and position it inside the water tank.
Fill with water, and heat up to 67°C. (All temperatures and timings are for reference only). 5 Add the grain, then use a suitable paddle to stir it gently.
When the mashing temperature is reached, after adding the ingredients, turn on the timer, normally the mashing lead time is 60mins. 7 After mashing is complete, drain out the wort, then sparge it with water at 78c.
Set a boiling temperature for a 1 hour boil. 2500W is mainly for reaching the target temperature, when target temperature is reached, please switch it to 1600W.
After boiling, cooling the wort down to 20c as fast as possible. Then transfer the wort to your fermentation vessel. Note: Please adjust the power according to your experiences and needs, as recipes do vary. This model does not have a circulation system, so the bottom part water temperature and the top part water temperature may be different.13
Hints on Boil Dry This device has a preventive boil dry function, if the element overheats, the thermostat will cut off the machine automatically. Operating the machine correctly is very important. If the element does overheat, please just wait few minutes for it to cool down to reset temperature.
- The device must be cleaned immediately after the brewing process. Avoid surface drying of wort and malt remnants, as this will signicantly impair the cleaning process.
- All stainless steel components can be cleaned using a conventional detergent. Abrasive agents and sponges/brushes that cause scratching are not suitable. Ideally use a pipe cleaner thread to clean the bottom element part.
- When cleaning the brewing vessel ensure that no water spray or moisture comes into contact with the electrical components. The Plug must be disconnected for performing cleaning activities.
- Before starting the brewing process, remove all dust and dirt from the device and all internal ttings by means of warm water.
- The valve also needs to be cleaned, all the components like water pipe, cover and false bottom should be cleaned, as this could have a negative impact your brewing results. TROUBLESHOOTING Problem Possible Cause and Solution Element with burn marks. Use an ingredient bag during mashing. Clean it with vinegar, Lemon juice and a soft cloth. Switches off during boiling. Do not use 2500W for full power boiling, switch it to 1600W. Contact seller change a higher temperature limited thermostat.14
