Frequently Asked Questions - PT Fp Kärcher

How to start up the Kärcher PT Fp fragrance dispenser?

Ensure the power supply is connected. Open the door, turn the main switch to ON, then close the door. The STOP button flashes. Insert a coin and select the desired fragrance.

How to install a new fragrance container?

Open the lock and remove the cover. Place the fragrance container inside. Push the suction hose with filter to the bottom of the container. Then perform a purge (see manual).

How to adjust the vaporization time per coin?

The time is set via rotary knobs PI to PIV. The range is 30 seconds to 7 minutes depending on the coin denomination used.

What to do if no fragrance comes out of the spray gun?

Check the fill level of the fragrance container. Check the nozzle of the spray gun and clean the filter of the suction hose.

How to protect the device from freezing?

If the device is equipped with antifreeze protection, set the corresponding switch to ON below +5 °C. Otherwise, remove the container and store it frost-free, then turn off the device.

How to purge the device after installing a new container?

Start the device and let the program run until there are no more bubbles in the suction hose and fragrance comes out of the spray gun. Repeat for each program.

What is the recommended cleaning frequency?

Empty the coin cassette and check fragrance levels daily. Clean the exterior of the device weekly.

What to do if the STOP indicator does not light up?

Check the power supply and make sure the main switch is set to ON. If the problem persists, contact customer service.

Can non-Kärcher fragrances be used?

It is recommended to use only original Kärcher fragrances and accessories to ensure proper operation and safety of the device.

How to transport or store the device?

Observe the weight of 55 kg. Secure the device against slipping during transport. For storage, consider the weight and avoid extreme temperatures.

Operations

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

Always keep the area around the machine clean and ensure that the floor is not dirty and/or smeared with oil or grease.

Proper use

The device is used to release 4 different fragrances to add scents to vehicles.

The appliance may not be operated in explosive atmospheres.

During operation, the door must be closed and the cover must be attached.

This appliance is suitable for commercial use.

Start up

Turning on the Appliance

→ Switch on the on-board voltage supply.

→ Open door.
→ Set main switch to "ON" position. The "STOP" button will flash If the device is in operation.
→ Close door.

Providing fragrances

→ Open the lock.
→ Remove cover.
→ Insert the fragrance canister in the device.

→ Push the suction hose incl. filter until it reaches the bottom of the fragrance canister.
Observe the correlation between the pump and the programme selection button.
→ Vent the device (see "Maintenance and care/Maintenance tasks/Venting the device").

→ Insert a coin in the coin slot. The programme selection buttons will flash.

→ Press the programme selection button for the desired fragrance.

The selected button will illuminate.

Note:

The selection can be changed during the run time.

→ Remove the spray pistol from the hose holder.

→ Align the spray pistol nozzle on the object that is to be scented. Recommendation: Spray the fragrance under the floor mats.
→ Pull the spray gun lever.
→ Let go of the lever to end the spraying procedure.
→ Place the hose on the hose holder.

Settings

Setting the run time

Note:

The adjustable run time applies to the insertion of one of the following coins:

• 50 Eurocents
• 50 British pence
• 1 Swiss franc
• 1 Polish złoty
• 5 Norwegian Kroner

Customer Service can set up different types of coins.

1 Rotary knob

→ Adjust run time per unit at rotary knobs P I through P IV. Possible setting range: 30 seconds to 7 minutes.

Frost protection

Device with frost protection

→ Turn the frost protection switch "ON" at temperatures below +5 °C.

ATTENTION

Risk of damage due to frost. The frost protection heater is active only when the main switch is also "ON".

Device without frost protection

In a device without frost protection, a shutdown must be carried out if there is risk of frost

Shutting down

→ Set the main switch to the "OFF" position.

Shutdown during Frost Conditions

→ Remove the fragrance canister from the device and store it in a frost-free area.
→ Set the main switch to the "OFF" position.

Maintenance and care

Daily

→ Empty the coin cassette (see "Maintenance tasks").
→ Check the filling level of the fragrance canister.
→ Check the general condition of the device.
→ Check condition of the hose line.
→ Check the nozzle of the spray pistol.
→ Have damaged parts replaced.

Weekly

→ Clean the external surfaces of the appliance.

→ Remove and empty the coin cassette.

Deaerating the appliance

→ Start up the device.
→ Allow the programme to run until the suction hose is free of bubbles and the fragrance is released at the spray pistol nozzle.
→ Carry out one procedure after another for each programme.

Troubleshooting

△DANGER

Risk of electric shock!

→ Set the main switch to "OFF" and disconnect the on-board voltage supply prior to performing any work on the device.

– The device is not functional.

The "STOP" button does not illuminate.

→ Check the on-board power supply.
→ Set main switch to "ON" position.
→ Inform Customer Service.

- No fragrance is released.

→ Check the filling level of the fragrance canister.
→ Check the nozzle of the spray pistol.
→ Clean the filter on the suction hose.

Warranty

→ Odzračite uređaj (vidi „Održavanje i njega/Radovi na održavanju/Odzračivanje uređaja").

→ Pritisnite tipku za odabir programa za željeni miris. Odabrana tipka svijetli.

→ Vrijeme rada po jedinici namjestite na okretnom gumbu P I do P IV . Mogući raspon namještanja: od 30 sekundi do 7 minuta.

2 Grijanje za zaštitu od smrzavanja

→ Na temperaturama nižim od +5 °C okrenite sklopku zaštite od smrzavanja „ON”.

PAŽNJA

Opasnost od oštećenja smrzavanjem. Grijanje za zaštitu od smrzavanja aktivno je samo ako se glavna sklopka nalazi u položaju „ON”.

Uređaj bez zaštite od smrzavanja

Kod uređaja bez zaštite od smrzavanja mora se u slučaju opasnosti od smrzavanja provesti „stavljanje izvan pogona u slučaju opasnosti od smrzavanja”

Stavljanje izvan pogona

→ Glavnu sklopku stavite u položaj „OFF”.
