Frequently Asked Questions - LMO 1833 Battery Set Kärcher

How to charge the battery of the LMO 1833 lawn mower?
Use only an authorized Kärcher Battery Power or Battery Power+ charger. Plug the charger into a wall outlet, insert the battery. The screen displays the remaining charging time. A new battery may require up to 5 cycles to reach full capacity.
What to do if the battery screen shows nothing during charging?
Wait 2 minutes: if the screen then shows charging time, the battery is functional. If the screen remains empty, the battery is defective and must no longer be used. Disconnect it immediately and dispose of it according to regulations.
Why does the battery not charge and show a temperature symbol?
The battery temperature is too low (below 4 °C) or too high (above 40 °C). Place the battery in a room temperature environment (approx. 20 °C) and wait for the icon to disappear. Charging will resume automatically.
How to store the lawn mower battery in winter?
Store the battery indoors in a dry place, below 20 °C and low humidity. The screen shows the charge status. If not used for more than 21 days, automatic storage mode discharges it to 70% to preserve the cells.
Can the battery be used in the rain?
No. Do not expose the battery to water or moisture. If it gets wet, dry it immediately (contacts facing down) without a heat source. Using it wet can damage the device and present a risk of electric shock.
What does the battery icon with a hole mean on the screen?
The battery is defective and has been disabled for safety. Do not use the battery, do not recharge it, and do not store it. Dispose of it immediately according to environmental regulations.
How to clean the battery and the lawn mower?
Always disconnect the battery before maintenance. Clean the contacts with a dry cloth. For the mower, remove grass with a brush; do not use pressurized water. Store the unit in a dry place.
What is the battery lifespan?
Kärcher lithium-ion batteries have a lifespan of about 300 to 500 full charge cycles, depending on usage and storage conditions. The automatic storage mode helps extend this duration.
Can I use a 36 V battery on the LMO 1833 lawn mower?
The LMO 1833 is designed for 18 V voltage. Use only compatible 18 V batteries. A 36 V battery can damage the device and void the warranty. Check the voltage on the rating plate.
What to do if the battery discharges too quickly?
Check that the battery is fully charged. A cutting height that is too low or dense grass can increase consumption. Recharge after use. If the problem persists, the battery may be at the end of its life; replace it.
