USER MANUAL a Five JAYS

SVENSKAENGLISH 1514JAYS head ofce Södermalm, Stockholm, Sweden Our mission started out in Sweden in a small scale with a global scope of not letting go when it comes to stronger musical experiences in the canvas of all people’s everyday life. People are pretty much the same over the world and we all strive towards better in all things that we do and that we are. Our way of making better is to do exactly what we do, greatly enhancing the experience of mobile music. We know that our fans and users are what make a JAYS Generation, one that always looks for greatness and expects us to provide it. Simply because we can, we keep it simple and develop advanced high quality products in black or white in innovative designs. We believe that the color should be deep in the music and not in the surface. Since we develop our own designs, we don´t have to hide them. Simplicity and quality is always in fashion and we have a great love for music, art and innovation. Technology is just our means for making it human. JAYSABOUT a-JAYS FIVE We wanted to change the standard of everyday in-ear earphones. We wanted to create better alternatives for consumers and invent a new set of earphones that would perform better, be more comfortable to use and would last longer. With that in mind, we started the work on a-JAYS Five. The earphones you have in front of you are the result of 12 months’ hard development work. The a-JAYS Five is made from precision turned aluminum, covered in a exible thermoplastic elastomer body in one part for a great and long lasting product experience. The well balanced, angled, ergonomic body contains a nely tuned custom driver which delivers a rich and detailed dynamic sound with a precise and powerful bass for any type of music. UNDERSTANDING THE PRODUCT

SPECIFICATION Sound pressure, Decibel and Hz Sound is an invisible vibration composed of frequencies which travel in undulations known as sound waves. The amplitude of vibration pro- duced by an object such as a speaker driver is proportional to the change of pressure generated as the wave moves through the medium which surrounds it (such as air). Therefore, the ampli- tude of a sound wave is commonly measured by its pressure level. The decibel is a non-dimensional, logarithmic scale to denote a relative change in the strength of a signal or wave. When placed in the context of sound pressure level; it measures the nominal threshold of human hearing, relative to the quietest sound audible to the human ear. The frequency of instances where a sound wave reaches it peak during a period of time is measured in Hz (hertz). This is the number of complete cycles per second. Human hearing is limited to frequencies between about 20 Hz and 20,000 Hz. SPECIFICATIONS Sensitivity and impedance Earphone sensitivity is measured in Sound Pressure Level (SPL). This is essentially a measurement of how loud or easily-driven a pair of earphones are. The sensitivity is also inuenced by the drivers’ coil impedance which varies over the frequency range. The higher the SPL and the lower the im- pedance the more easily driven your earphones will be. PRECAUTIONS

  • Do not use the product in other ways than are described in this manual.
  • Handle with care at all times and protect from external damage.
  • Do not expose to heat, magnetism or cold, damp environments.

  • After use, remove carefully - avoid pulling the cable.
