Operation and Safety Notes

Do not allow children to play with the components and fitting kit, risk of swallowing. Danger of suffocation. Children or persons lacking knowledge or ex- perience in handling the device or have limited physical, sensory or mental abilities, must not use the device without supervision or instruction by a person responsible for their safety. Do not open the daytime running lights. Repairs may only be carried out by qualified service personnel. Please note that the guarantee does not cover damage caused by incorrect handling, non- compliance with the operating instructions or interference with the device by unauthorised individuals. Warning notes and notes regarding fitting You must check before fitting that the fitting depth behind the bumper / air intake is sufficient. Do not obstruct the cooling air intake for brakes or intercooler or damage hoses, electrical cables or struts. The daytime running lights switch on automati- cally, as soon as the ignition is switched on and the main lights (main/high beam, side lights, fog lights) are switched off. The rear lights may not be illuminated when the daytime running lights are on. As, among others, the connection is made to terminal 15, qualified personnel has to ensure that this connection is not leading to error mes- sages when used in vehicles with data bus technology. Take care to install the fuses as close as possi- ble to the supply point. Look for a spray protected place to fit the relay. You must keep to the installation dimensions and the legal regulations. Follow the safety notes and requirements of the vehicle manufacturer and the motor trade. If you are not accustomed to working with vehi- cle electrics, we recommend to have the fitting done in a specialist’s workshop or at an author- ised vehicle manufacturer’s workshop. Before working on the vehicle electrics always disconnect negative and positive pole of the vehicle battery, as there is always the danger of short circuiting when making a mistake dur- ing installation. If the vehicle features additional batteries, these have to be disconnected from the vehicle elec- trics as well on all poles. Components or electronic systems (airbags, engine management systems) can be destroyed or triggered, if a short circuit is created. When the positive or negative battery pole is disconnected, the non-permanent electronic memories such as on-board computers, clocks and radios will loose their saved values. Please ensure therefore, you note down for instance the radio code before the installation.19 GB ... / LED daytime ... / Cleaning and care / Disposal / Guarantee and service Take care that, if applicable, the data for the memory seat, speed control, clock or additional heating need to be reentered. Check regularly that the lights and their mount- ing bracket are correctly positioned, in order to prevent blinding of other road users. The manufacturer constantly checks whether the product conforms with the newest legal requirements. The manufacturer of this system accepts no liability for damages resulting from incorrect installation or improper use. LED daytime running lights installation Note: When using as a position and parking light, the minimum spacing is 350 mm, for a vehicle width less than 1300 mm at least 400 mm; when using as a position light max. 400 mm. If the lights are installed only for the daytime running function, these restrictions are not applicable. Install the LED daytime running lights as depicted in the figure.
