The hose may be exposed to materials and organisms that may be harmful to people such as: – mould and bacteria – fertilizers – animal waste – insects – stagnant water – other harmful substances ❐ The product is not a toy! Safety instructions ❐ Keep children and animals away from the packaging material. There is a danger of injury and suffocation, among other things! ❐ To prevent injury, do not use the product if it is damaged. ❐ Do not stretch the hose out when empty. The product is only designed to be elongated by water pressure. The hose can elongate to three times its original “relaxed” length. If the hose is stretched to this length without water and inadvertently released, it may uncontrollably lash back and injure nearby persons or cause damage to property. ❐ Do not point the water jet at electrical equipment. ❐ Do not point the water jet at persons or animals. ❐ Always turn the water off at the tap and let the water drain when you are not using the hose.10 ❐ Do not place the product on hot surfaces, e.g. on the grill in order to prevent damage to the product. Use The garden hose is ready for use upon delivery. Both hose plug adapters are already attached. Please be absolutely sure to observe the direction of water fl ow: The end of the hose with the moving screw cap (A) is connected to the tap. The other end of the hose with the attached on/off valve (B) is the water outlet.

• Make sure that the tap and the on/off valve of the garden hose are turned off before you connect the hose. The on/off valve has been turned off if it is at a right angle to the hose.

• If you use a spray nozzle or sprinkler, we also recommend that you use the on/off valve to ensure that suffi cient water pressure is built up.

• If the tap adapter or the screw cap (A) does not seal off the tap, insert another gasket (included in the product contents) in the tap adapter. Application

1. Connect the end of the hose with the screw cap (A) directly to the tap.

Three additional gaskets are included in the product contents. You can also insert them as needed.

2. At the tap, turn the water on. Slowly increase the water pressure. The hose will au-

tomatically elongate.

3. Once the hose has reached its full length, open the on/off valve by turning it towards

the arrow and use the hose as you would a conventional garden hose. Please note: The hose will contract a few centimetres when you open the on/off valve!

4. Once you are fi nished using the hose, turn the water off by turning the tap to the

water has run out of the hose, the hose will assume its original length.

A11 There are two ways to use the garden hose:

1. Use it with the tap adapter (C): Simply screw a tap adapter

onto your tap and use the garden hose as described.

2. Remove the hose plug adapter by holding the rotating screw cap and turning the

adapter off by turning it counter-clockwise. Use the screw cap to connect the hose directly to the tap. Care and storage

• If necessary, clean the hose with a clean, dry cloth.

• Store the hose in an area not exposed to direct sunlight.

• At temperatures under 0 °C, store the hose inside in an area that is not exposed to the cold. Always make sure that there is no water in the hose. Water could freeze, expand and damage the hose as a result. Disposal The packaging material is recyclable. Dispose of the packaging in an environ- mentally-friendly manner and make it available to the collection service for recy- clable materials. In the event of defects in the product, you have certain statutory rights vis-à-vis the seller. The warranty displayed below does not restrict these statutory rights. Warranty terms The warranty period begins with the date of purchase. Please store the original receipt in a safe place. This document is required as the proof of purchase. If a material or manu- facturing defect occurs within the fi rst three years of the date of purchase, we will repair or replace the product – as we choose – at no charge. Warranty coverage requires the presentation of the defective product and proof of purchase (receipt) within the three- year period as well as a brief written description of the defect and when it occurred. If the defect is covered by our warranty, we will return the repaired product or a new product to you. A new warranty period does not begin with the repair or replacement of the product. Warranty period and statutory defect claims An instance of coverage shall not extent the warranty period. This also applies for parts that are repaired or replaced. Any damages and defects already present at the time of purchase must be immediately reported after unpacking the product. Repairs performed after the warranty period has expired are subject to charge. Scope of warranty coverage The product has been manufactured with care in accordance with strict quality standards and has undergone in-depth inspection before being shipped out. The warranty covers material and manufacturing defects. This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear and can therefore be considered wearable parts nor does it cover dam- ages to fragile parts, switches, rechargeable batteries or parts made of glass. The warranty is forfeited if the product is damaged, improperly used or maintained. To guarantee proper use of the product, all instructions listed in the instruction manual must be fully complied with. Be absolutely sure to avoid using the product for purposes as well as other actions, which the instruction manual disadvises or warns against. The product is only intended for private and not for commercial use. The warranty shall be forfeited in the event of incorrect and improper use, the use of force and intervention not attributed to our authorised service offi ce.
