This type of battery may only be charged with the following chargers: PAPK12A1, PAPK12A2, PAPK12B1, PAPK12B2.   • Charge the batteries only in chargers that are recommended by the manufacturer. Risk of re if a charger that is suitable for a specic type of battery is used with other batteries.
  • In the power tools, use only the batteries designed for the pur- pose. The use of other batteries may result in injuries and risk of re.
  • Keep the unused bat- tery away from paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws and other small metal objects, which could cause bridging of the contacts. A short circuit between the battery contacts may cause burns or re.
  • If used incorrectly, liq- uid may leak from the battery. Avoid contactIEGB

  • Ensure that the device is switched off before inserting the battery. Inserting a battery into a power tool that is switched on may result in accidents.
  • Recharge the batteries indoors only because the battery charger is designed for indoor use only.

  • Do not subject the bat- tery to strong sunlight over long periods and do not leave it on a heater. Heat damages the battery and there is a risk of explosion.
  • Allow a hot battery to cool before charging.
  • Do not open up the battery and avoid me- chanical damage to the battery. Risk of short circuit and fumes may be emitted that irritate the respiratory tract. Ensure fresh air and seek medical assistance.
  • Do not use any acces- sories that are not rec- ommended by PARKSIDE. This can result in electric shock or re. Checking the battery charge level The battery’s (1) charge level is indicated by the charge state indicator.
  • The charge level of the bat- tery is indicated by illumi- nation of the corresponding LED lights while the device is in operation.   • Always take heed of the ap- plicable safety instructions as well as the environmental protection regulations and information (see “Cleaning and Maintenance”). Storage
  • Remove the battery before storing the unit for longer periods of time.
  • During a longer storage period, check the state of charge of the battery and re- charge if necessary roughly every 3months.
  • The storage temperature for the battery is between 0°C and 45°C. Avoid extreme cold or heat during storage to ensure the battery output is not adversely affected. Cleaning Clean the charger and the bat- tery with a dry cloth or with a paint brush. Do not use water or metal objects. Maintenance The appliance cleaner is mainte- nance free. Disposal and protecti- on of the environment Remove the battery from the device and take the device, battery, accessories and packag- ing for environmentally friendly recycling. Machines do not belong with domestic waste. Do not dispose of batteries in household waste, re (risk of explosion) or water. Damaged batteries may damage the environment and your health if toxic fumes or liquids leak out.

Guarantee Dear Customer, This equipment is provided with a 3-year guarantee from the date of purchase. In case of defects, you have statutory rights against the seller of the product. These statutory rights are not restricted by our guarantee presented below. Terms of Guarantee The term of the guarantee be- gins on the date of purchase. Please retain the original re- ceipt. This document is required as proof of purchase. If a ma- terial or manufacturing defect occurs within three years of the date of purchase of this product, we will repair or replace – at our choice – the product for you free of charge. This guarantee requires the defective equipment and proof of purchase to be presented within the three-year period with a brief written de- scription of what constitutes the defect and when it occurred. If the defect is covered by our guarantee, you will receive either the repaired product or a new product. No new guaran- tee period begins on repair or replacement of the product. Guarantee Period and Stat- utory Claims for Defects The guarantee period is not extended by the guarantee service. This also applies for re- placed or repaired parts.
