Safety
This section contains important safety instructions for handling the device. This device complies with statutory safety regulations. Improper use may result in personal injury and property damage.
Basic safety instructions
To ensure safe operation of the device, follow the safety guidelines set out below:
- Check the device for visible external damage before use. Do not operate a device which has been damaged or dropped.
■ If the cables or connections are damaged, have them replaced by authorised specialists or Customer Service.
This device may be used by children aged 8 years and above and by persons with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, provided that they are under supervision or have been told how to use the device safely and are aware of the potential risks. Do not allow children to play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance tasks may not be carried out by children unless they are supervised.

DANGER! Do not allow children to play with the packaging material! Keep all packaging materials away in children. There is a risk of suffocation!
■ Protect the charging cable from hot surfaces and sharp edges and ensure that it is not stretched tight or kinked.
The device should only be repaired by authorised specialist personnel or the customer service department. Improper repairs may put the user at risk. They will also invalidate any warranty claim.
■ Defective components must always be replaced with original replacement parts. Compliance with the safety requirements can only be guaranteed by using these replacement parts.
- Do not make any unauthorised modifications or alterations to the device.
■ Never open the device housing. There are no parts inside the device which can be maintained. In addition, this will invalidate the warranty.

- Keep the device away from open flames (e.g. candles) at all times.

■ Also refer to the operating instructions for your mobile phone.
WARNING! If you notice any unusual noises, a burning smell or smoke, immediately unplug the device from the 12/24 V on-board socket. Have the device checked by a qualified specialist before using it again.

b aDispose of the packaging in an environmentally friendly manner.
Note the labelling on the packaging and separate the packaging material components for disposal if necessary. The packaging material is labelled with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with the following meanings:

Handling and operation
Fitting the suction cup
Ensure that the surface to which you wish to attach the suction cup is clean, dry and free of grease. Make sure that the suction cup locking lever 2 is not engaged.
- Press the suction cup ① firmly against the windscreen and push the suction cup locking lever ② upwards. This creates suction, and the suction cup ① pulled tight against the windscreen.
Release the locking level 3 to adjust the inclination of the car cradle. Then press the locking lever 3 pwards.
Release the locking level to rotate the car cradle through 360^ in both the horizontal and vertical directions. Then press the locking lever upwards.
To remove the suction cup 1 from the windshield, push the suction cup locking lever 2 downwards and lift the tab at the edge of the suction cup.
Mobile phone charging
- Connect the car/USB adapter to the 12/24 V on-board socket (cigarette lighter) of your vehicle.
The white LED in the housing indicates that the car/USB adapter is ready for operation. Depending on the vehicle type, it is possible that the ignition has to be switched on first. The car/USB adapter may only be used in conjunction with the car cradle.
Connect the USB type A plug of the connection cable to the car/USB adapter 10
- Connect the micro-USB plug of the connection cable to the connection socket (micro-USB) ⑦ of the car cradle. The operating LED lighting lights up blue and signals that the car cradle is ready for operation.
Place your mobile phone on the support 8 of the car cradle. The holding clamps 6 of the car cradle automatically move inwards.
NOTE
▶ Some mobile phones need to be taken out of their case for charging.
Charging starts immediately and is indicated on the display of the mobile phone. The pulsating operating LED lighting ⑤ also signals that the mobile phone is being charged. When the mobile phone is fully charged, the operating LED lighting ⑤ goes out.
- Lift the mobile phone to remove it from the car cradle. The holding clamps 6 of the car cradle automatically move outwards.
When charging is complete, disconnect the car/USB adapter 10 on the grip bracket 1 from the 12/24 V on-board socket.
CAUTION
In vehicles in which the 12/24 V on-board socket also works with the ignition switched off, the mobile phone must be disconnected after the 12/24 V on-board socket after use. Otherwise, the vehicle battery can be depleted over an extended period of time, as the mobile phone and the car/USB adapter 10 may still draw power even when it is idle.
Troubleshooting
A mobile phone is not charging (the white LED in the housing is not lit)
- No connection to the 12/24 V on-board socket. Check the connection.
♦ Depending on the vehicle type, it is possible that the ignition has to be switched on first.
◆ The fuse is defective. Replace the fuse (see section Replacing the fuse).
The white LED in the housing goes out when a mobile phone is connected
The car/USB adapter ^10 is overloaded and no longer charges the connected mobile phone. The internal over-current protection has been triggered. Disconnect the connected mobile phone from the car/USB adapter ^10 . The white LED lights up immediately and the vehicle/USB adapter ^10 is ready for operation again.
The LED lighting 5 flashes rapidly after a mobile phone has been placed for charging
The mobile phone is not compatible with Q induction charging technology and cannot be charged. Use a suitable adapter to charge your mobile phone by induction charging.
- Some mobile phones need to be taken out of their case for charging.
NOTE
▶ If the above solutions do not resolve the problem, please contact the Service Hotline (see section Service).
Replacing the fuse
There is a fuse in the car/USB adapter 10 for protecting the vehicle's on-board power supply. If the car/USB adapter 10 stops working, check the fuse and replace it if necessary.

DANGER
▶ Always use the same type of fuse! Otherwise there is a risk of fire.
- Open the car/USB adapter ^10 by carefully unscrewing and removing the screw insert (C) anticlockwise.
◆ Remove the plug tip (B) from the fuse (A) and pull out the fuse (A).
Now insert a new fuse (A) of the type F4AL250V into the car/USB adapter 10. Place the plug tip (B) onto the slightly protruding end of the fuse (A) and screw the previously removed screw insert (C) back in.

text_image
A B CNOTE
If the car/USB adapter ^10 still does not work or if the new fuse burns out immediately, the device is defective. Please contact the Service Hotline (see section Service).

CAUTION
▶ Disconnect the device from the 12/24 V on-board socket before cleaning.
▶ Do not use caustic, abrasive or solvent-based cleaning materials. These can damage the surfaces of the device.
- Clean the device only with a slightly moistened cloth.
Storage when not in use
CAUTION
▶ Disconnect the device from the 12/24 V on-board socket when not in use.
The temperatures inside the vehicle can reach extreme values in summer and winter. Consequently, to avoid damage to the device, you should not store it in the vehicle.
◆ Store the device in a location that is clean, dry, dust-free and out of direct sunlight.
