Service and clean the appliance regularly.
Adapt your working style to suit the appliance.
Do not overload the appliance.
Have the appliance serviced whenever ne- cessary.
Switch the appliance off when it is not in use.
Wear protective gloves. Caution! Residual risks Even if you use this electric power tool in accordance with instructions, certain resi- dual risks cannot be rules out. The following hazards may arise in connection with the equipment’s construction and layout:
3. Health damage caused by hand-arm vib-
rations if the equipment is used over a pro- longed period or is not properly guided and maintained.
5. Before starting the equipment
Hazard! Charge the battery only with the charging unit supplied.
5.1 Charging the battery (Fig. 2)
The battery is protected from exhaustive dischar- ge. An integrated protective circuit automatically switches off the equipment when the battery is fl at. Note! Do not actuate the On/Off switch any more if the protective circuit has tripped. This may da- mage the battery. Check that your mains voltage is the same as that marked on the rating plate. Plug the battery char- ger (6) in the plug socket and connect the char- ging cable (5) to the charging connection (a). The charging process starts as soon as the charging cable is connected to the charging adapter. The red LED on the indicator (7) indicates that the battery is being charged. When the charging has fi nished, the red LED will go out and the green LED will begin to shine. If the indicator (7) fl ashes red and green alterna- tely, this means that the temperature is too low or high. Keep the tool at room temperature for a day and try again. If the indicator (7) continues to fl ash red and green alternately, the battery is defective. A defec- tive battery is not allowed to be used any more. If only the red LED fl ashes, the adapted charging function is active. Reason: Exhaustive discharge. For safety reasons the charging is performed less quickly until the normal charge has been reached. Note! The handle may become a little warm du- ring the charging process. This is normal. If the battery fails to charge, please check
whether there is voltage at the socket outlet
whether there is good contact at the charging contacts of the charging unit If the battery still fails to charge, send
and the battery pack to our customer service center.
Press the magazine slide (3) together using your thumb and index finger.
Pull the magazine slide toward the rear of the cordless stapler and out.
Fill the magazine with staples (b) as shown in Fig. 3.
Then push the magazine slide back in until it snaps noticeably into place. Note! It must be possible to move the magazine slide without applying much force. Watch out for jam- med staples. Filling level indicator The fi lling level indicator (4) shows you if there are still enough staples in the magazine. If necessary, refi ll the magazine as described above. Avoid operating the trigger (1) if there are no stap- les or nails in the magazine.
6.1 Operation (Fig. 3)
Before starting your work, always check the fi lling level indicator (4) to see if the magazine contains staples and is properly closed with the magazine slide (3).
6.2 Triggering (Fig. 1)
The built-in trigger locks prevent the cordless stapler from being triggered accidentally. Triggering is only possible by pressing the head (2) of the cordless stapler against the material and operating the trigger (1).
6.3 Indicator (Fig. 2/Item 7)
The indicator (7) indicates the battery charge le- vel during charging (see section 5.1). In addition, the green LED shines while the stap- les are being stapled. If the LED fl ashes red during operation, the batte- ry is empty. Charge the battery.
7. Cleaning, maintenance and
ordering of spare parts Hazard! Never touch the head of the stapler while car- rying out cleaning and maintenance work.
Keep all safety devices, air vents and the motor housing free of dirt and dust as far as possible. Wipe the equipment with a clean cloth or blow it with compressed air at low pressure.
We recommend that you clean the device immediately each time you have finished using it.
Clean the equipment regularly with a moist cloth and some soft soap. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents; these could at- tack the plastic parts of the equipment. Ensu- re that no water can seep into the device. The ingress of water into an electric tool increases the risk of an electric shock.
There is a risk of staples becoming jammed par- ticularly when the cordless stapler is held at any angle when operated. To remove them, pull the magazine slide (3) to- ward the rear of the cordless stapler and out, and carefully remove the jammed staples using sui- table pliers. Push the magazine slide (3) back in until it stops and snaps noticeably into place. There are no other parts inside the equipment which require maintenance.
