Keep it away from walls and heat sources such as stoves, ra- diators, etc. Please note: If it is not placed on a horizontal sur- face, it may not work properly. Check that your mains voltage is the same as that of your device. Do not connect or disconnect the plug with wet hands. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by a similar cable available from the supplier or the supplier’s after-sales depart- ment. Do not leave the device in the sun for a long period of time. Do not take the device apart en- tirely. Do not lift the glass cover when the device is on. If you no- tice a suspicious smell or sound, switch the device o immedi- ately and consult the “Trouble- shooting” section of these in- structions for use. If the problem persists, ask the supplier or its after-sales department to check the device. Do not use essential oils that are not recommended for diusion. Do not use perfume or synthetic es- sences as these could damage the device. Unplug the device before cleaning it. Use only the mains adaptor supplied with this device. The adaptor supplied must be used only with the de- vice and not for other purposes. Do not wash the entire unit with water and do not immerse it in water. Consult the cleaning in- structions in this manual. Do not use any chemical products (such as acids, alkalis, etc.) or corro- sive detergents to clean the de- vice. Never scrape the transduc- er with a hard tool and consult the cleaning instructions in this manual. Be sure never to emp- ty the water from the reservoir through the exhaust vents as this would damage the diuser. Tip the water out of the side oppo- site the exhaust vent. For opti- mum maintenance, use mineral water. Do not ll above the line indicating the maximum water level. Always pour the water in before adding essential oils. Do not use essential oils without di- luting them in water. This appli- ance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced phys- ical, sensory or mental capabil- ities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Introduction Thank you for choosing the Moya by LANA

FORM. With its ceramic shell ltering the light and its natural bamboo base, the Moya essen- tial oil diuser combines well-being and qual- ity. What is more, it assists soothing breathing through light cycles. The light intensity increas- es for 5 seconds, then decreases for 5 seconds. The aim is to synchronise breathing with these cycles so as to reproduce the “cardiac coherence” respiration exercise. The aim of this breathing technique is to regulate the heart rate and the autonomous nervous system with the aim of re- laxing and improving the body’s functions. Prac- tised regularly, it brings numerous benets to mental, emotional and physical health. Components of the device

• Switches o automatically Preparation 2 01 Put the Moya diuser in the room half an hour before turning it on to al- low it to adjust to room temperature. 02 Make sure it is always placed on a hard, at and horizontal surface. 03 Make sure the device is clean before starting to use it. 04 Remove the ceramic cover . 05 Then remove the reservoir cover . 06 Pour fresh, preferably demineralised water into the reservoir and do not exceed the maximum level . 07 Pour 3 or 4 drops of essential oil into the water . 08 Replace the reservoir cover then the ceramic cover . 09 Make sure your hands are completely dry when connecting (and even disconnecting) the device . 10 The diuser is now operational. Instructions for use 3 Adjusting diusion and timer

• Press once on the button for adjusting diusion and timer 1 to start diu- sion. It runs in continuous diusion mode by default; three indicators light up

• Press a second time on the button for programming diusion for 1 hour; the indicator on the left lights up .

• Press a third time on the button for programming diusion for 3 hours; the middle indicator lights up .

• Press the button for programming dif- fusion for 8 hours a fourth time; the in- dicator on the right lights up .

• Press the button for stopping dif- fusion a fth time; there are no longer any light indicators .

• To go to intermittent diusion mode (30 seconds ON; 30 sec- onds OFF), press the button for 2 sec- onds; a light indicator will ash.

• Repeat this operation to go back to continuous diusion mode The timer is not interrupted when the dif- fusion mode has changed. E-IM-Moya-006.indd 8E-IM-Moya-006.indd 8 12-12-22 16:19:0212-12-22 16:19:029 / 96 Adjusting the light mode

• Press the button for adjusting the light once 1 to activate the light with a greater intensity.

• Press the button for reducing the intensity a second time.

• Press the button for starting the “breath- ing” mode a third time; the light inten- sity increases for 5 seconds, then de- creases for 5 seconds, in cycles.

• Press the button a fourth time to switch o the light. The light switches o by default when dif- fusion stops (either with the timer, or with the system that automatically switches o when the reservoir is empty). But it is pos- sible to programme the light separately from diusion.

• To do that, press the two buttons at the same time 1 , . The left-hand and middle indicators light up You will then be able to enjoy the atmospher- ic lighting, even after diusion stops.

• To de-activate independent program- ming of the light, press both buttons again at the same time. The middle and right-hand indicators will light up . Even though there is a safety device that stops the transducer from working, do not leave the device connected when you are not using it. Additional information about the use of essential oils: Before using essential oils, please check the harmful eects that use of these products may have on your health. Always choose quality essential oils that are pure, 100 % natural and intended for diusion. Use them in moderation and with care. Follow the instructions and warnings stated on the packaging of the essential oils, making sure in particular that:

• Pregnant women, people with epilepsy, asthmatics and people who suer from al- lergies, those with heart problems or seri- ous illnesses should not use essential oils.

• Essential oils should be used only for periods not exceeding 10 min- utes in the room of a baby (un- der 3 years old) and only when the baby is not actually in the room. Make sure that children and minors do not play with or use the device. Just a few drops (3 to 4 drops at most) of essen- tial oils are sucient to ensure that the device E-IM-Moya-006.indd 9E-IM-Moya-006.indd 9 12-12-22 16:19:0212-12-22 16:19:0210 / 96 works properly and the scent is diused. Exces- sive use of essential oils could damage the device. Make sure you pour water into the reservoir rst before adding the drops of essential oils. Lanaform cannot be held liable in the event of accidental damage resulting from any use con- trary to the instructions given in these instruc- tions for use. Maintenance and storage When you are not using the diuser, emp- ty the water out of the reservoir. Do not tip the water out of the reservoir from the ex- haust vent side. If the water gets into the exhaust vent, this might damage the de- vice! 4 To prevent this from happening:

• Do not move the diuser when there is water in the reservoir. If water accidentally enters the exhaust vent 5 , there is a safety device for removing wa- ter from the base of the diuser:

• Disconnect the power ca- ble from the diuser.

• Empty the reservoir completely through the opposite side to the exhaust vent.

• Bend the diuser towards one of the drainage holes 5 to empty the water.

• Leave the diuser in a dry place for 24 hours. Always unplug the device with dry hands before cleaning it! Maintenance If the water contains too much calcium and magnesium, it may deposit a white powder in the device. If this foam is deposited on the transducer 1 , it will prevent the device from working properly. We recommend: 01 Using distilled or demineral- ised water each time it is used. 02 Cleaning the reservoir every 3 days and cleaning the transducer everyweek. 03 Emptying and cleaning the device (see explanations below) and making sure that all its parts are completely dry when it is not in use. E-IM-Moya-006.indd 10E-IM-Moya-006.indd 10 12-12-22 16:19:0312-12-22 16:19:0311 / 96 To clean the transducer 6: 01 Put 2 to 5 drops of vinegar on its surface and leave them there for 2 to 5 minutes. 02 Brush the foam o the surface with a soft brush or cotton bud. Do not use a hard tool to scrape the surface. 03 Do not use soap, solvent or spray cleaner to clean the transducer. To clean the reservoir and reservoir cover: 01 Use a soft cloth and vinegar if there are any foam or limes- cale deposits on the inside. 02 Rinse them in clean water. Do not use products containing bleach to clean the device, but washing up liquid or vinegar only! Do not immerse the base 1 in water! Storage Having cleaned and dried the device, store it in a dry, cool place out of the reach of children. Breakdowns and solutions In the event of a malfunction under normal conditions of use, please refer to the following list: No mist. If there is no light. Check that the device is connected and that there is no mains fault. The water level in the reservoir is too low. Add water to the reservoir. The temperature of the unit is too low. Place the unit in a room at ambient temperature for half an hour prior to use. Mist has an unusual smell. The water has been standing in the reservoir for too long. Too much or too little wa- ter in the reservoir. Empty water out of the res- ervoir or add water to it. Sediment on the transducer. Clean the transducer. The water is too cold. Use water that is at room temperature. The water is not clean. Clean the reservoir and pour fresh, distilled or dem- ineralised water into it. Technical features

The cardboard may be disposed of in a paper recycling bin. The packaging lm must be tak- en to your local sorting and recycling centre. When you have nished using the device, please dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way and in accordance with the law. The LANAFORM guarantee does not cover dam- age caused as a result of normal wear to this product. In addition, the guarantee covering this LANAFORM product does not cover dam- age caused by abusive or inappropriate or in- correct use, accidents, the use of unauthorized accessories, changes made to the product or any other circumstance, of whatever sort, that is outside LANAFORM’s control. LANAFORM may not be held liable for any type of circumstantial, indirect or specic damage. All implicit guarantees relating to the suitabili- ty of the product are limited to a period of two years from the initial date of purchase as long as a copy of the proof of purchase can be supplied. On receipt, LANAFORM will repair or replace your appliance at its discretion and will return it to you. The guarantee is only valid through LANAFORM’s Service Centre. Any attempt to maintain this product by a person other than LANAFORM’s Service Centre will render this guarantee void.
