Intended use The SilverCrest Power Bank SPB 5.000 A1 is an information technology product. It allows you to recharge mobile devices that have a USB charging socket. The SilverCrest Power Bank has not been designed for corporate or commercial applications. Use the power bank for private use only. Any use other than that mentioned above does not correspond to the intended use. This power bank fulfils all relevant standards and directives. Any modifications to the power bank other than recommended changes by the manufacturer may result in these standards no longer being met. The manufacturer shall not be liable for any damage or malfunctions resulting from such modifications. Observe the regulations and laws in the country of use. 1. Because of its high input current, never use a
notebook or PC to charge the power bank, only use a suitable power adapter (5V , min. 2.1A, not supplied).
2. The power bank must never be charged and be
used to recharge an external device at the same time. This symbol denotes further information on the topic. Operating environment The device is not designed for use in environments with high humidity (e.g. bathrooms) or excessive levels of dust. Operating temperature and operating humidity: 5°C to +45°C, max. 75 % rel. humidity. Please note that when using the product in a car, especially behind the windscreen, the temperature can significantly increase above +45°C.SilverCrest SPB 5.000 A1 English - 23 DANGER! Always make sure that the device is not exposed to direct heat sources (e.g. radiators); the device is not exposed to strong artificial light; contact with water spray and drops and aggressive fluids is avoided and the device is never operated near water. If the device has been exposed to strong temperature fluctuations, wait for it to reach the ambient temperature before switching it on (about 2 hours). the device is not subjected to excessive shocks or vibrations; the device or the optional USB power adapter is not used during thunderstorms and unplug the optional USB power adapter from the mains; when using a USB power adapter the power socket used must be easily accessible at all times and cables should be laid so they do not present a trip hazard; the device is not covered. WARNING! Cables Unplug all cables by holding the plugs and never pull on the cables themselves. Getting started The power bank must never be charged and be used to recharge an external device at the same time. Charging the power bank Because of its high input current, never use a notebook or PC to charge the power bank, only use a suitable power adapter (5V , min. 2.1A, not supplied). To charge the built-in battery of your power bank, use the supplied USB charging cable (B) to connect the power bank to a suitable USB power adapter (not supplied). To do so, insert the Micro USB plug of the USB charging cable (B) into the power bank Micro USB port (3) and then connect the USB plug to the USB port of the power adapter. During the charging process, the LEDs (5) inform you about the current state of charge of the power bank.SilverCrest SPB 5.000 A1

Alternatively, you can charge the power bank battery with the USB power adapter of your mobile device if its output meets the following specifications: 5V , min. 2.1A Checking the state of charge You can also check the state of charge of your power bank when it is not being charged or discharged. To do this, press the State of charge / START pushbutton (4) briefly. The LEDs (5) will indicate the state of charge of the power bank for approx. 20 seconds: LEDs State of charge All LEDs on 75-100% Three LEDs on 50 - 74% Two LEDs on 25 - 49% One LED on 1 - 24% All LEDs off 0% Please note that the LED indicator only shows an approximate value of the state of charge of your power bank.SilverCrest SPB 5.000 A1 English - 29 Charging external devices To charge an external device with your power bank, use the supplied USB charging cable (B) to connect the power bank to the external device. To do so, insert the Micro USB plug of the USB charging cable (B) into the Micro USB socket of your external device and then connect the USB plug into any of the two USB ports (1, 2) of your power bank. If the charging process doesn’t start automatically, press the State of charge / START pushbutton (4) briefly to start the charging process. Alternatively you can also use the charging cable of the external device manufacturer (USB connection). If you want to charge another external device at the same time, connect it the same way to the other USB port (1, 2) of the power bank. During the charging process, the LEDs (5) inform you about the state of charge of the power bank. You can stop the charging process at any time by unplugging the USB charging cable (B) or by keeping pressed (for approx. 2 seconds) the State of charge / START pushbutton (4). Storage when not in use When not using the power bank for a long time, it is recommended to recharge it from time to time. This ensures a longer battery endurance. Store the device in a dry, cool place. Troubleshooting The power bank is not charging. Faulty connection, double-check the connection. The USB power adapter you are using is defective. Use a different power adapter that you are certain is working. Check whether the used power socket is alive. A connected device is not charging. The battery of your power bank is empty; recharge it. No connection to the external device, double-check the connection. Press the State of charge / START pushbutton (4) briefly to start the charging process. Instead of the supplied USB charging cable (B), try the original charging cable of the device you want to charge.SilverCrest SPB 5.000 A1 English - 31 The current consumption of the connected device is too low (< approx. 80 mA). It is not possible to charge it with the power bank. Please check the technical specifications of the connected device. A short-circuit may have happened at the power bank output. There can be different symptoms for this. All 4 LEDs (5) flash at the same time. Proceed as follows to reset the power bank: Unplug the connected USB charging cable from the USB port (1, 2) of the power bank. Wait approx. 10 seconds until the 4 LEDs (5) stop flashing and then press the State of charge / START pushbutton (4) once. The power bank does not work at all. To reset the power bank, briefly connect it to suitable power adapter (5V , min. 2.1A, not supplied). After resetting the power bank, reconnect the device you want to charge. If the error persists, the USB charging cable or the external device may be defective. Try charging a different external device or use another USB charging cable to check if the power bank works properly.SilverCrest SPB 5.000 A1
