SRB 6 B1 Introduction Information about these operating instructions Congratulations on the purchase of your new appliance. You have selected a high-quality product. The operating instructions are part of this product. They contain important information about safety, usage and disposal. Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all operating and safety instructions. Use the product only as described and for the range of applications specified. Retain these operating instructions for future reference. Please pass on these operating instructions to any future owner. Intended use The appliance is intended exclusively for removing dirt indoors and outdoors in domestic households. Do not use the appliance for personal or animal care. It is not intended for use in commercial or industrial areas. Claims of any kind for damage resulting from misuse, incompetent repairs, unauthorised modification or the use of unauthorised replacement parts will not be accepted. The risk is borne solely by the user. Safety information WARNING! Never use it for other purposes. There is a risk of injury following misuse of the appliance. Safety instructions for handling batteries WARNING! Mishandling batteries can cause fires, explosions, leakag- es of dangerous chemicals or other hazards! ► Keep batteries out of the reach of children. ► Make sure that no one can swallow the batteries. ► If a battery is swallowed, seek medical assistance immediately. ► Always use the stated battery type. ► Never try to recharge non-rechargeable batteries. ► Remove rechargeable batteries from the appliance before recharging them. ► Do not throw batteries into a fire or water. ► Never expose batteries to high temperatures or direct sun- light. ► Never open or deform batteries. ► Do not short-circuit the terminals. ► Remove depleted batteries from the appliance and dispose of them safely. ► Do not use different types of batteries together or mix new batteries with used batteries.■ 4

Clean the battery and appliance contacts and the battery compartment with a dry cloth. Do not let the chemi- cals get into contact with your skin and mucous membranes, especially your eyes. In case of contact with chemicals, wash the affected area with plenty of water and immediately seek medical attention. Attachment assembly WARNING - RISK OF INJURY! ► Only change the attachments 9/8/7/6 when the appliance is switched off. ♦ There are four different attachments 9/8/7/6 available to choose from. Choose the most suitable attachment 9/8/7/6 according to the task: Large brush attachment The large brush attachment 9 is ideal for cleaning large flat areas, such as floors and walls. Small brush attachment The small brush attachment

is ideal for cleaning uneven surface areas, such as wash basins, taps and fittings, etc.GB

 7 ■ SRB 6 B1 Brush attachment for crevices The brush attachment for crevices 7 is ideal for cleaning hard-to-reach spots such as gaps, corners and joints. Scrubbing sponge attachment The scrubbing sponge attachment

is ideal for cleaning pots as well as cooker and hob surfaces. ♦ Slide the selected attachment 9/8/7/6 onto the attachment holder 0 until it clicks into place. Please make sure that both indents on the attachment holder 0 slide into the appropriate recesses on the attachment 9/8/7/6 (see Fig. 6). ♦ To remove an attachment 9/8/7/6, pull it from the attachment holder 0 with a small amount of force (see fig. 7). Fig. 6 Fig. 7 Operation and control CAUTION - DAMAGE TO APPLIANCE! ► Do not use abrasive cleaning agents. They could irreparably damage the surface you are cleaning. ► The hard bristles and the scrubbing sponge pad of the attachments 9/8/7/6 can scratch or damage sensitive surfaces such as glass, ve- hicle paintwork, stainless steel, copper, wood, etc. First test the attachments 9/8/7/6 on an inconspicuous spot of the area to be cleaned. NOTE ► Use the appliance with water; for more difficult stains use a mild cleaning detergent. Apply the detergent directly onto the attachment 9/8/7/6 and/or on the area to be cleaned before switching on the appliance. ► After every use clean the appliance and the used attachments 9/8/7/6 as explained in the section Cleaning and maintenance.■ 8

♦ Move the attachment 9/8/7/6 with light pressure over the area to be cleaned. Apply more water and/or cleaning detergent, as needed, to the area to be cleaned. ♦ Once you have finished using the appliance, press the On/Off switch

again to switch it off. Cleaning and maintenance

Do not immerse the hand unit 1 in water in order to clean it. CAUTION - DAMAGE TO APPLIANCE! ► Do not clean the appliance with solvents, alcohol or abrasive cleaning agents. These could damage the plastic surfaces of the appliance. ♦ Clean the hand unit 1 with a moistened cloth. For stubborn dirt, add some mild detergent to the cloth. ♦ Wash the attachments 9/8/7/6 under running water and with some mild detergent. Then rinse out the attachments 9/8/7/6 with clean water. ♦ Allow the hand unit 1 and the attachments 9/8/7/6 to dry completely before using them again or storing them. Storage ♦ Remove the batteries from the hand unit 1 (see section Inserting/replacing batteries). ♦ Store the appliance in a clean, dry location away from direct sunlight.GB

SRB 6 B1 Disposal of the appliance The adjacent symbol of a crossed-out dustbin means that this appliance is subject to Directive 2012/19/EU. This directive states that this appliance may not be disposed of in the normal household waste at the end of its useful life, but must be taken to specially set-up collection locations, recycling depots or disposal companies. The disposal is free of charge for the user. Protect the environment and dispose of this appliance properly. If your old appliance has stored any personal data, you are responsible for deleting it yourself before returning it. If it is possible to do so without destroying the old appliance, remove the old batteries or rechargeable batteries before returning the appliance for disposal and take them to a separate collection point. If this product has any faults, you, the buyer, have certain statutory rights. Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by the warranty described below. Warranty conditions The warranty period starts on the date of purchase. Please keep your receipt in a safe place. This will be required as proof of purchase. If any material or manufacturing fault occurs within three years of the date of purchase of the product, we will either repair or replace the product for you or refund the purchase price (at our discretion). This warranty service requires that you present the defective appliance and the proof of purchase (receipt) within the three-year warranty period, along with a brief written description of the fault and of when it occurred. If the defect is covered by the warranty, your product will either be repaired or replaced by us. The repair or replacement of a product does not signify the beginning of a new warranty period.
