These instructions for use WARNING

  • The device is intended only for domestic/private use, not for commercial use.
  • This device can be used by children over the age of eight and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental skills or a lack of experience or knowledge, provided that they are supervised or have been instructed on how to use the device safely and are aware of the consequent risks of use.

1. Getting to know your device

The Achilles tendon is the strongest tendon in the human body. It is subjected to particularly high stresses when running/walking. Especially among athletes, such as runners, sustained overstressing and incorrect stressing may result in painful inflammation of the Achilles tendon. FM 200 Achillomed

has been specially developed to relieve Achilles tendinitis. The Achil- lomed

has six rotating massage heads that can alleviate Achilles tendon problems with a soothing massage. The Achillomed

also offers you the following benefits:

  • Illuminated LED display
  • Removable massage heads for easy and hygienic cleaning
  • Footrest with height and width adjustment for comfortable use

This device is exclusively intended to massage the human Achilles tendon. The device is only suitable for private use, and not for medical or commercial purposes. It cannot replace medical treatment. Do not use the device if one or several of the following warnings applies to you. If you are unsure whether the device is suitable for you, please consult your doctor. The device is only intended for the purpose described in these instructions for use. The manufacturer is not liable for damage resulting from improper or careless use.13

If you suffer from a severe illness or have recently had surgery on your Achilles tendon

If you suffer from thrombosis, diabetes or unexplained pain WARNING Keep packaging material away from children. There is the risk of suffocation. Electric shock WARNING As with every electrical device, use the Achillomed

carefully and cautiously in order to avoid hazards due to electric shock. Therefore, observe the following instructions for use:

Only use the device with the mains part provided and at the mains voltage specified on the mains part

Never use the device if it or its accessories show visible signs of damage

Do not use the device during a thunderstorm In the event of defects or operational faults, switch the device off immediately and disconnect it from the mains socket. Do not pull on the mains cable or on the device to disconnect the mains part from the socket. Never hold or carry the device by the mains cable. Keep the mains cable away from hot surfaces. Do not crush, bend or twist the mains cable. Do not insert needles or other sharp objects into the device. Ensure that the device, the mains part and the mains cable do not come into contact with water, steam or other liquids. Only use the device in dry rooms (e.g. never in the bath, sauna). Never reach for a device that has been submerged in water. Unplug the mains part from the socket immediately. Do not use the device if it or its accessories are visibly damaged. Do not drop the device or subject it to any impacts.14 Repairs WARNING

Only specialist personnel may perform repairs on electrical devices. Improper repairs may subject users to considerable danger. For repairs, please contact Customer Services or an authorised retailer. Risk of fire WARNING There is a risk of fire if the device is used improperly or these instructions for use are ignored. Therefore, observe the following instructions for use:

Never use the massager underneath a cover, such as a blanket, pillow, etc.

7. Footrest with height and width

7. Cleaning and storage

Always unplug the mains part from the socket and disconnect it from the device before carrying out any cleaning.

Clean the device using only the methods specified. Under no circumstances may liquid enter the device or the accessories.

10. Warranty/service

1. The warranty period for BEURER products is either 3 years or- if longer- the country

specific warranty period from date of Purchase. In case of a warranty claim, the date of purchase has to be proven by means of the sales receipt or invoice.

2. Repairs (complete unit or parts of the unit) do not extend the warranty period.

3. The warranty shall not be valid for damages because of

a. improper treatment, e.g. nonobservance of the user instructions. b. repairs or tampering by the customer or unauthorised third parties. c. transport from the manufacturer to the consumer or during transport to the service centre. d. The warranty shall not be valid for accessories which are subject to normal wear and tear (cuff, batteries etc.).
