How to pair the Moto Surround with my phone?

You can pair via the Motorola Connect app (Android 4.3+) or classic Bluetooth. Enable Bluetooth on your phone, turn on the earbuds (the light flashes blue), then search for 'Moto Surround' in the Bluetooth devices list. If prompted, enter 0000.

How to charge the headset?

Use the provided cable (power adapter not included). Plug it into a USB source and connect to the earbuds. The light turns solid red during charging and solid green once fully charged.

What is the battery life?

Talk time is approximately 6 hours and standby time approximately 150 hours (estimated values). The battery is designed to last the life of the product.

How to reset the headset?

Disable Bluetooth on all connected devices. Turn on the earbuds, then press and hold both volume buttons (◀─ and +) until the light flashes red and blue. A tone confirms the reset.

Can I connect two devices at the same time?

Yes, you can connect two devices simultaneously. First pair the first device, disable its Bluetooth, turn off and on the earbuds, pair the second device, then re-enable Bluetooth on the first. To switch audio source, pause playback on the current device and start playback on the other.

How to control music?

Press the ▶ button to play/pause. Use + to increase volume, ◀─ to decrease. Long press + for next track, long press ◀─ for previous track. Double press ▶ for voice command.

How to answer a call?

Press the ▶ button to answer or hang up. To reject a call, long press ◀─ or +. During a call, press ◀─ and + simultaneously to mute the microphone.

What to do if the light flashes red?

Flashing red light indicates low battery. Recharge the headset as soon as possible.

The headset does not turn on, what to do?

Make sure it is charged (plug it in for a few minutes). If still nothing, try a reset (see reset question). If the problem persists, contact Motorola support.

1 Download the free Motorola Connect app from the Google Play™.
2 Turn on your wireless earbuds.
3 Open Motorola Connect, touch + and select MotoSurround from the list of devices.

Tip: you can also use Motorola Connect to check your battery, see the last known location where you connected or get more help.

Pair with Bluetooth™

Pair without the Motorola Connect app.

On your device, go to the Bluetooth menu to pair & connect. Enter 0000 if prompted.

The buttons at the ends of your earbuds perform the same functions. Press either button to control calls, voice commands and music.

Note: voice control may not work on some devices or in all languages.

Reset

Turn off Bluetooth for all connected devices. Turn on the wireless earbuds, then press and hold ▶ or 📋 and both Volume buttons until the status light shows alternating red and blue. You'll hear a tone.

Note: this product contains exposed magnets and may damage magnetic information, such as credit card strips and ID cards.

Second device

Do you use a phone and a tablet? Or two phones? Connect with both of them at the same time.

1 Pair with your first device using the steps in "Pair with Bluetooth™" on page 4.

2 Turn off Bluetooth on your first device (your phone, tablet or computer).

3 Turn off the wireless earbuds. Then turn them back on.

4 Pair with your second device using the steps in "Pair with Bluetooth™" on page 4.

5 On your first device, turn Bluetooth back on to connect to it simultaneously. You'll hear a tone when the first device connects.

Tip: to switch and play audio from the second connected device, pause the current music device, then press play on the second device.
