5. INSTRUCTIONS FOR TRAINING AND USE
TRAINING ON THE TRAMPOLINE:
Caution: Before use, may sure the spring cover is correctly positioned to cover all the springs.
Set up the trampoline on as even a surface as possible following all the safety instructions (included in this handbook).
Before you really "cut loose" (e.g. with our suggested trampoline exercise included later in the handbook), we recommend a few basic warm-up exercises on the trampoline in addition to some initial stretching.
The following page contains a few suitable warm-up exercises and stretches. We recommend the following warm-up exercises before training and after training as cooldown exercises to help fend off muscle soreness and improve circulation.
One more helpful tip: Do not overdo it! Don't attempt any of the somersaults, flips or other difficult tricks on your trampoline you may have seen on various media! The risk of suffering permanent injury is simply too high. If our suggested exercises are not exciting enough for you, please contact a local club or sports group in your region for professional, supervised instructions for how to perform difficult tricks on your trampoline. Our suggested exercises are sufficient for the amateur athlete interested in improving fitness and health. Your jump should always start and end in the middle of the jumping mat.
Now, have fun!
5. INSTRUCTIONS FOR TRAINING AND USE
Basic trampoline warm-up and cool-down exercises: We recommend repeating each exercise 10 times in succession.
| 1. Contact bounce Stand on the jumping mat with your legs at shoulder width, your knees slightly bent. Place your hands on your hips. Begin with small jumps so your feet barely leave the jumping mat. This exercise is excellent for beginners to become acquainted with your new sports device. | |
| 2. Foot tap Stand on the jumping mat as described under Contact bounce. Now shift your weight from side to side while briefly lifting your free foot from the jumping mat and tapping to the side. Then return to the basic position and shift your weight to the other side, lift foot and tap, etc. | |
| 3. Hamstring curls While doing “Contact bounces”, shift your weight to one side. Only one foot is in contact with the trampoline while you slightly bend the other leg back at the knee. Then switch to the other side, etc. | |
| 4. Side to side For this exercise, stand on the jumping mat with both feet together as depicted and then jump from side to side with both feet together. |
6. MAINTENANCE & CLEANING
6.1 MAINTENANCE
Regularly check the product for wear or damage and have any problems fixed immediately. The jumping mat, safety net, frame cover, fastenings and springs are subject to wear and must be checked regularly, at least once a season, and replaced if necessary. The safety net in particular is subject to increased wear due to environmental conditions (UV radiation) and should be replaced within two years.
Maintenance instructions
The trampoline requires regular maintenance.
- Irregular maintenance can lead to safety hazards for the user.
- Make sure that all nuts and screws are firmly tightened and tighten if necessary.
- Make sure that all spring-loaded connections (locking bolts) are undamaged and cannot slip during use.
- All covers for screws and sharp edges must be checked and replaced if necessary.
6.2 CLEANING
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents for cleaning. Remove staining and dust with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use any alcoholic cleaners for cleaning the covers. We recommend cleaning the covers using a mild cleaning agent, in order to protect the covers from oil stains and dirt, which – in the long run – could cause cracks or permanent stains. Only use household products that are intended for treating upholstery covers. You may also use a mild detergent and water or other non-aggressive, non-alcoholic products. Make sure all screws and bolts are securely tightened.
