EXPLANATION OF SYMBOLS

This symbol warns of electrical hazards that could damage the appliance or result in personal injury.

This symbol indicates a potential burns risk. Always make sure to be particularly careful here.
Intended use
The double induction hob is suitable for heating food and liquids in induction-compatible cookware. The hob heats foodstuff in a quick and energy-efficient manner using electromagnetic heat.
Suitable cookwareWARNING!
Only use cookware that is mentioned in this instruction manual: flat bottom pots/pans with 16-26 cm base diameter – must be made of steel, stainless steel, cast iron or enamelled iron. The pans should lie flat on the hob and the bottom of the pan should not be deformed or bent.
Thinner pan bases are better suited to induction than thick sandwich bases. Using thinner pan bases highlights the positive qualities of cooking with induction: short warm-up phase, fast and controllable frying.
Unsuitable cookware is that which has a rounded bottom edge or a diameter smaller than 16 cm and is made of the following materials: glass, ceramic, copper or aluminium.
Please read these instructions carefully before use and retain them for future reference.

- Keep the appliance and power cord out of reach of children.
- Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended purpose and for the purpose described in this instruction manual.
- Make sure that the voltage of the outlet is compatible with the voltage of the appliance.
- Do not continue to use the appliance if any part of it is damaged or defective.
- Check the power cord regularly for damage. Do not use the appliance if the power cord is damaged. In this event, please contact our customer service department to prevent taking any dangerous risks.
The appliance is only suitable for
indoor use, do not use it outdoors.
- The appliance is suitable for private use only. It is not to be used for commercial purposes.
- Never use the appliance near bathtub, showers, basins or other containers which may hold water.
- Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids. If it does happen to become immersed in liquids, do not remove the appliance with your hands. Disconnect the mains plug from the outlet immediately. If the appliance has been immersed in water or other liquids, it can no longer be used.
- Never unplug the power cord from the outlet with wet hands.
- Keep the appliance away from heat sources. Do not lay the appliance on hot surfaces or near naked flames.
- Beware of hot surfaces! Wait until the appliance has cooled down before touching it with your hands. The surface becomes hot during use and hot cookware may cause the appliance to retain an increased level of residual heat even after being switched off.
- Do not cover the appliance.
- The appliance must only be placed on surfaces that are heat-resistant and level/straight. There must be at least 10 cm of free space
around the appliance, and air circulation must not be impaired.
- The appliance should be placed at sufficient distances from objects sensitive to electromagnetic fields (e.g. radios, televisions, etc.).
- Do not move the appliance while there is any cookware placed on it.
- Pots and pans must not be overheated or heated while empty. No paper should be placed between
the cookware and the hob. It could catch fire.
- Do not use the cooking plate as a tray for metal objects such as knives, forks, cans or aluminium foil.
- If the surface becomes damaged, switch off the appliance immediately and have the glass ceramic plate repaired by an authorised technician.
Electrical safety

WARNING! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
This product may only be opened for necessary service work by an authorised technician.
- If problems occur, immediately disconnect the appliance from both the electrical supply and other appliances.
- Do not use the appliance if the power cord or plug is damaged or defective. If the mains plug and/or the power cord is damaged or defective, then the power cord and/or the mains plug must be replaced, either by the manufacturer or an authorised service partner.
- Always make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage on the nameplate of the appliance before use.
- Connect the appliance to an earthed wall outlet. If necessary, use an earthed extension cable with a suitable conductor cross-section.
- Do not use a wall outlet that has several appliances already connected to it. Wall outlets into which the mains plug does not fit must also not be used.
- Always make sure to completely unwind the power cord and extension cord.
- For additional protection, we recommend installing a residual current circuit breaker (ELCB - earth leakage circuit breaker) in the circuit. This
residual current circuit breaker must have a rated residual current not exceeding 30mA . Ask your installer for advice if necessary.
- The appliance is not designed to be operated with an external timer or a separate remote control system.
- Do not move the appliance by pulling on the power cord. Make sure that the power cord is placed in such a way that it cannot get tangled. Ensure that the power cord does not hang over the edge of a worktop and that no one can get caught on it or trip over it.
