Intended use

The single induction cooktop is suitable for heating up foods and liquids fast and energy-efficiently through electromagnetic heat in induction-compatible cookware.

Warning!

  • Only use the cookware listed in this instruction manual: Flat-bottom pans and pots (15-20 cm in diameter) made of steel, stainless steel, cast iron or enameled iron.
  • Cookware unsuitable for induction cooking is any cookware with rounded edges or with a diameter of less than 15 ~cm and cookware consisting of glass, ceramic, copper or aluminum.
  • After the first use, white stains may usually appear on the bottom of the pot. To remove them, heat some vinegar in the respective cookware to 60 - 80^ C and remove the stains with a dishwashing brush.

Before first use read the instruction manual carefully and keep it in a safe place. The device must only be operated by persons who are familiar with the safety instructions.

with the device. Cleaning and maintenance must never be conducted by children without supervision.

  • The device must not be operated by individuals (including children) with reduced physical, sensory and mental abilities or

lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision and instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

  • Keep the device and power cord out of reach of children.
  • The device may only be used for its intended purpose and only for the purpose described in this instruction manual.
  • Do not use the device if one of the parts is damaged or defect. Should the product have a defect replace it immediately.
  • Regularly check the power cord for damage. Do not use the device if the power cord is damaged. In this case, please contact our customer service to prevent hazards.
  • The device is only designed for inside use. Do not use it outside.
  • The device is only designed for domestic use. It must not be used for any commercial purposes.

  • Never heat up foods in sealed containers such as cans, coffee pots or other pressurized containers to prevent an explosion due to heating.

  • Never dip the device into water or other liquids. If it has been immersed in water, do not remove the device with your hands. Immediately remove the plug from the socket. If the device has been immersed in water or other liquids, it must not be used any longer.
  • To ensure full functionality and to prevent injuries, never heat up empty cookware.
  • There must never be paper in between the cookware and the cooking plate. It might ignite.
  • Never leave the cookware and the cooking plate unattended while using. If supervision is not possible for a short period of time, make sure that there are enough liquids/contents left in the cookware.
  • Never use the device near gas stoves. Metal parts

could be heated up unintentionally through the magnetic field.

Except for the cookware, never heat up any other metallic objects on the cooking plate and only use cookware suitable for induction cooking.
- After use, immediately remove the plug from the socket. Ensure that your hands are never wet when doing so.
- Persons with a pacemaker should consult a doctor before using the device and only use the cooking plate with the doctor's agreement. The magnetic field could possibly affect the pacemaker's functionality.
- To avoid hazards, never insert any wires, cords or other parts that do not belong to the device into the device's slots and openings. Furthermore, prevent any blocking or closure of all ventilation openings.
- Do not use the cooking plate as a storage place for paper, fabrics in the

form of dishcloths or cleaning cloths, metallic objects such as knives, forks, cans or aluminum foil as well as other unsuitable items and easily inflammable materials.

  • The cooktop is not suitable for indirect heating. Only use suitable cookware directly on the plate without any additional tools.
  • Keep the device away from heat sources. Do not place the device onto hot surfaces or near open fire.
  • Only place the device onto even, heat-resistant surfaces: Not onto fabric, metal or non-heatproof materials. The clearance around the device must be at least 10cm and the air circulation must be unaffected.
  • Make sure to leave enough space between the device and objects which are sensitive to electromagnetic fields (e.g. radios, TVs, etc.).
  • Do not cover the device and do not load it with more than 8kg of weight.

Overloading can result in damages.

  • Protect the device from environmental influences such as insects, dust and humidity to prevent short circuits or other errors. If the device is not being used for a long time, store it in its original packaging and clean it before the next use.
  • Do not move the device as long as cookware is placed on top of it.
  • Prevent direct contact with sharp objects which could damage the plate. Should the surface be

damaged, switch off the device immediately and have it repaired by a qualified technician.

  • Clean the plate before each use and check the ventilation slots to ensure proper functioning.
  • Be aware of hot parts! Wait until the device has cooled down before touching it with your hands. The surface gets hot during use and may contain increased residual heat due to the hot cookware even if the device is already switched off.

In case of service work, this product may only be opened by a qualified technician.

  • If problems occur, immediately disconnect the device from the power supply and other devices.
  • Do not operate the device if the power cord or main connection is damaged or defect. Should the main plug or power

adapter be damaged or defect, the main plug or power adapter must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorized service partner.
- Before operating the device, always make sure that the supply voltage is

compatible with the supply voltage range shown on the type plate.

  • Connect the device to a grounded outlet (minimum of 10 A).
  • Do not use a wall outlet that is already connected to several other devices or that the power plug is not suitable for.
  • Always fully unwind the power cord and the extension cord if one is required.
  • The device is not designed to be operated with an external time switch or with a separate remote control system.

  • Do not move the device by pulling the power cord. Ensure that the power cord can not become knotted. Make sure that the power cord does not hang loosely from the edge of your working surfaces and that nobody can entangle in or trip over it.

  • Never dip the device, power cord or power plug into water or other liquids.
  • Never leave the device unattended as long as it is connected to the power grid.

  • Remove all transportation protections and packaging as well as the protective film the cooking plate is covered with and keep them out of reach of children - risk of suffocation!

  • Clean the device to remove possible production residues. Please note our tips for cleaning and care.

General instructions for use

  • The sensor buttons of the operating panel react to touch. Pressing firmly is not necessary. Use your fingertips and not your nails.
    Each button command is confirmed by an acoustic signal.
    Always keep the sensor button clean and dry. Do not cover them with objects such as cleaning cloths, oven cloths or other cooking utensils. Even the thinnest film of water on the surface could affect the sensor button's functionality.
    Always keep ventilator slots free.
  • Only use cookware containing foods or liquids and always place it in the center of the cooktop.
  • Connect the power plug to the wall socket. An acoustic signal is emitted and 'L' is displayed on the control panel. The device is in standby mode.
  • To turn the device on, press the

ON/OFF sensor button. Now you can use the plate for heating. To do so, press the control key once.

  • If the control key is not pressed within 10 seconds after switching on the device, it shuts off automatically.
  • If there is no appropriate cookware placed on the cooktop after pressing the control key, an acoustic signal is emitted and the plate does not heat up. After 1 minute the device shuts off automatically.
  • The heat supply also stops automatically when the cookware is removed from the cooking area. An acoustic signal is emitted and the device switches to standby mode.
  • After use, press the ON/OFF sensor button to switch the device to standby mode and to turn it off.
  • Remove the power plug from the wall socket.

  • Caution: Let the device cool down completely after use. As long as 'H' is displayed, the device is still hot. Do not touch the plate during this

time. If 'L' is displayed, the plate is still slightly warm. You should still make sure not to touch it.

The single induction cooktop is equipped with an overheat protection. If the cookware becomes too hot, the device switches off automatically. Should the cookware becomes too hot, wait a few minutes and let the cooktop cool down. After that, you can continue to use the device without restrictions

Setting the power and temperature

After switching on the device, press the control key to choose either power or temperature mode.
- If you press the sensor button once, the device will be operated in power mode at 1600 W and the plate starts heating up.
- Use the preset power level or touch the + / - sensors to increase or decrease power. The power can be adjusted from a minimum of 200 W to a maximum of 2000 W.
- If you press the sensor button twice, the device will be operated in temperature mode at 140^ and the plate starts heating up.

  • Use the preset power level or touch the +/- sensors to increase or decrease temperature. The temperature can be adjusted between a minimum of 60^ and a maximum of 200^ .
  • The display can show power/temperature or time. If the timer is selected, the display constantly switches between power/temperature and the elapsing time. If the timer is not selected, only the power and temperature settings will be displayed.

Setting the timer

  • Press the timer button to activate the timer mode. The timer symbol lightens up and the number on the display starts flashing.
  • Touch the +/- sensors to increase or decrease the time on the timer. You can adjust the time between 1 minute and 3 hours.
  • Once you have set the desired time, wait until the display stops flashing. The countdown starts.
  • When the time has expired, the device stops heating and turns itself off.
  • Automatic shutdown: If the device is running permanently without the timer selected, it shuts down automatically 2 hours after switching on. In timer mode, automatic shutdown is deactivated.

Keep warm mode

  • Use the keep warm mode after cooking to prevent cooling down in the pot.
  • Press the keep warm sensor button. The cooktop warms up the cookware at low temperature to keep a constant temperature in the pot.
  • In keep warm mode the temperature cannot be adjusted individually.

Child safety lock and locking the device

The device can be locked to prevent unintended operation.

  • Press the + and - sensor at the same time to lock the device. The lock display lights up.
  • In this mode, the ON/OFF switch is the only selectable function. All other functions are locked.

To cancel the function:

  • Press + and - at the same time for 3 seconds. The lock display shuts off.

Warning!

Always switch off the device, remove the power plug from the socket before cleaning and wait until the device has cooled down completely.
- Never dip the device into water or other liquids.
- Do not use any abrasive detergents or solvents.
- Clean the ventilator slots with a dry, soft brush or a small vacuum cleaner. If the device has not been used for a long time, the slots and opening might be soiled
- or blocked with dust or dirt.

  • Use a damp cloth to clean the outside of the device. You may use some neutral detergent. Thoroughly dry off the device with a soft, dry cloth.
  • If the induction cooktop is not being used for a long time, remove the power cord and store the device protected from dust and environmental influences.
  • Do not try to repair the device yourself. If it does not work properly, replace it with a new one.

Remove the cooktop from the power supply, connect the power cord to the socket again and restart the device.
Error codeE3 / E6·Wait a moment and press the ON/OFF switch once the temperature has returned to normal. Now, the plate should function properly again.
E7 / E8·Switch off the device and switch it on again once the voltage has returned to normal. Now, the plate should function properly again.
E1/E2/E4 / E5 / Eb·The device is defect.

Emergency

In the event of irregularities and problems during usage, immediately disconnect the device from the power supply and do not use it any longer.
