Unpack all parts and check that everything is there and that nothing is damaged. Do not use damaged products. If you find damage on the product, contact your dealer/retailer.
The device serves as a mobile head light § The lamp is not intended for any other applications § Not suitable for household room lighting § The product is not intended for commercial use SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS These operating instructions contain important information for the first use and normal operation of the following product: The following text refers to the HD500R simply as the lamp or the product. Read this manual carefully before using the lamp for the first time and proceed accor- dingly. Keep these operating instructions for future use or for the reference of future users. Failure to follow the operating instructions and safety instructions may result in damage to the product and hazards (injuries) for the operator and other persons. The operating instructions refer to applicable standards and regulations of the Euro- pean Union. Please also adhere to the laws and guidelines specific to your country.
Please take note of the following symbols and words used in the operating inst- ructions, on the product and on the packaging. If the light beam shines into the eyes, close the eyes and turn the head away from the light beam. This lamp exceeds the conditions for risk-free use. The risk when using it depends on how the user handles the lamp. Risc group Hazard Distance (HD) (2) 2 0m – 3,59m 1 3,59m – 35,90m Free group > 35,90m (1) This value indicates the factor by which the risk group limit value to the next lowest group has been exceeded. The limit value is 1. (2) Distance from eyes to the lamp at which the respective risk group is applicable. § Do not open or modify the product! Repair work shall only be carried out by the manufacturer or by a service technician appointed by the manufacturer or by a similarly qualified person. § Keep the product and the packaging away from children. This product is not a toy. Chil- dren should be supervised in order to ensure that they do not play with the product. § This product is not to be used by persons (including children) who have restricted physical, sensory or mental capabilities or who do not have adequate experience and knowledge in handling this product. Such persons must be instructed beforehand by a supervisory person who is responsible for their safety or must be supervised during the use of the product! § The LED light source cannot be replaced. When operating, do not look into the lamp for an extended period of time. Can be hazardous to the eyes.12 ATTENTION § The product contains a replaceable li-ion rechargeable battery. Do not throw the product into a fire! § The product may only be charged in closed, dry and spacious rooms, away from combustible materials and liquids. Disregard can result in burns and fires. § Never open, crush or heat a rechargeable battery or set it on fire. § Do not use the product in potentially explosive areas or in the rain and do not expose it to excessive heat. § Do not use the product if it appears to be damaged FIRST USE The light is switched on with the button. When switched on, the following lighting levels are available: Press 1x: LED 100% Press 2x: LED 50% Press 3x: LED 20% The light also has a strobe mode, which can be switched on by double-clicking the button. The light can be switched off with a long press (ca. 2 sec.) of the button. CHARGING Please charge the lamp fully before first use. Likewise, when storing over an extended period of time, charge beforehand and charge at least 2x per year during storage in order to prevent the rechargeable battery deep-discharging. To charge the lamp, insert the rechargeable battery into the housing. Place the magnetic contact of the charge cable onto the charge contacts of the recharge- able battery housing. Connect the USB charge cable supplied to a USB port. The charge time may vary depending on the energy source (different capacities).
LED CHARGE LEVEL INDICATOR
The lamp has an LED charge level indicator. If the rechargeable battery is charging, the indicator LED illuminates red. If the rechargeable battery is fully charged, the indicator LED illuminates green. CLEANING/MAINTENANCE § Clean only with a slightly damp cloth, then rub dry. § Never submerge the product in water or other liquids. ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION | DISPOSAL
The product should not be discarded in the normal household waste under any circumstances. Dispose of the product via an authorised disposal centre or your municipal waste disposal facility. Observe the current applicable regulations. Contact your waste disposal facility in the event of any doubt. Dispose of all pa- ckaging materials via an environmentally friendly disposal facility. Used batteries and rechargeable batteries are special waste and must be disposed of in accor- dance with national regulations and not with the normal household waste.
