USER MANUAL PP 3570 C CLATRONIC

This warns you of dangers to your health and indicates pos- sible injury risks. CAUTION: This refers to possible hazards to the machine or other objects. NOTE: This highlights tips and information. General Notes Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this device to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.

  • The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not t for com- mercial use.
  • Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
  • When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.
  • Do not operate the machine without supervision. If you leave the room you should always turn the device off. Remove the plug from the socket.
  • The device and the mains lead have to be checked regu- larly for signs of damage. If damage is found the device must not be used.
  • Use only original spare parts.

WARNING: Hot surface! Risk of burns!

The temperature of the touchable surface may become very high during use.

  • Do not touch the hot parts of the appliance, but only use the but- tons and handles. Use pot holders when opening the lid of the appliance!
  • Please note that the hot parts will remain hot for a long time even after operation.
  • Do not use the device without oil or fat. Fire hazard!
  • Never add water to the oil! Risk of ash re / explosion!32
  • Oils and fats may burn when overheated. Please be careful! Do not forget to switch the device off after use! First, set the thermostat to the lowest setting, and then pull the mains plug.
  • Keep a sufcient safety distance (30 cm) from easily ammable objects like furniture, curtains, etc. Fire hazard!
  • If the appliance should catch re, never try to extinguish the ames with water. Smother the ames with a moist cloth.
  • Do not move or carry the hot appliance while it is in operation. Hot liquids, hot steam, or oil splashes may escape. CAUTION:
  • Only the supplied thermostat may be used. No other regulator should be used under any circumstances.
  • This appliance is not intended to be immersed in water during cleaning.
  • Different surfaces come into contact with food and oil. Follow the instructions provided for you in the chapter “Cleaning”.
  • Before inserting or removing the thermostat please ensure that the scale of the temperature regulator is turned to 0 (Off). Otherwise the device may fail to operate or overheat.
  • When inserting the thermostat please ensure that it is inserted cor- rectly. The regulator should be facing upwards. When removing the thermostat, do not pull the cable, but pull on the plug of the thermo- stat. Do not use excessive force or bend the thermostat when insert- ing or removing it.
  • Please keep the temperature sensor and the pins of the holder clean.
  • Please ensure that the mains lead does not come into contact with the hot sections of the device.33
  • Do not repair the appliance yourself, but consult an authorized spe- cialist. If the power cord of this appliance gets damaged, it must be replaced by a special power cord which can be obtained from the manufacturer or its customer service.
  • This appliance shall not be used by children aged between 0 and 8 years.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they are constantly supervised.
  • This appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sen- sory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
  • Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
  • Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children.
  • Children shall not play with the appliance.
  • Cooking pots should be set down in a stable position using the handles (if available) in order to prevent spilling of hot liquids.
  • Do not operate the appliance on a separate timer or a separate remote control system.
  • This appliance is intended for domestic use and similar applications, such as - in staff kitchens of stores, ofces and other commercial areas; - in bed and breakfast establishments. 1. Remove the appliance from its packaging.

2. Remove all the packaging material such as foils, lling

materials, cable ties and cardboard packaging.

3. Check that all parts are present.

4. In the event that the package contents are incomplete or if

there is obvious damage, do not use the appliance. Return it to the dealer immediately.

5. Operate the appliance without the lid for approximately

5 min on the highest setting (see “Initial Operation”). NOTE: Any smoke or smells produced during this procedure are normal. Please ensure sufcient ventilation.

6. We recommend that you clean the lid and the pan as

described under “Cleaning”. Assembly

1. Mount the knob on the glass lid:

  • To do this, place the knob and the ring collar on a at surface.
  • Place the lid on it upside down.
  • First push the silicone ring into the lid opening.
  • Insert the screw with the washer from the inside through the lid and tighten the knob by hand.

2. Mount the heat shields on to the

  • Under each of the handles you can see two drill holes.
  • Hold one heat shield in each case between the pan and handle.
  • Insert the screws into the drill holes and screw the heat shields into place. Initial Operation Place the device on a heat-resistant surface.

1. Please ensure that the temperature regulator is turned to

0 (Off) and insert it into the socket of the thermostat. The power socket is on the side of the device. CAUTION: If the thermostat is not inserted correctly, this may lead to abnormal heating, of which the consequence may be damage or accidents. You should therefore ensure that the thermostat is inserted correctly.

  • The Party Pan should be preheated for approximately ve minutes. When the control lamp goes off, the pan is ready for operation.
  • The cooking time depends on the type and quantity of food that is to be cooked as well as the degree of cooking. Please base these times on your own experience.
  • When turning the food that is being cooked, please use wooden or Teon utensils so as not to damage the non- stick layer.
  • When cooking is nished the food may be kept warm by turning the controls to 1.
  • The Party Pan is hot during use!
  • Hot steam is emitted from the lid.35 After Use
  • To switch the device off, rst turn the temperature regulator to 0 (Off) and remove the plug from the socket.
  • Do not remove the thermostat from the device until the device has cooled down, as the temperature sensor is still very hot after use. Cleaning
  • Always pull out the plug from the mains socket before cleaning and wait until the unit has cooled down.
  • Never immerse the appliance and the power cord with the ther- mostat in water for cleaning. It could result in an electrical shock or re. CAUTION:
  • Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
  • Under no circumstances should the device be immersed in water for cleaning. Pan
  • Please remove any food residues while they are still warm with a damp cloth or paper towel. In the case of stubborn residues the pan should be reheated with a little water.
