• This device may only be used in accordance with its intended purpose and for private use.

• It is not for commercial applica- on.

• This device is only designed for indoor use. Keep it away from heat sources (e.g. electric stove), high temperatures and direct sunlight.

• Do not place the kele near wa- ters sources like basins.

• Do not tough the kele with wet hands.

• To prevent the unit from drop- ping over, make sure that the support surface is stable.47English

• Children must be supervised in order to make sure that they do not play with this device.

• Keep packaging items (plasc bags, carton, styrofoam, etc.) out of reach of children, as they represent a potenal source of danger.

• Only ll the water tank with fresh cold water and do not cook remaining water a second me.

• Do not move the machine while it is operang.

• Never open the cover during brewing process, this could lead to burns.48 English

• Keep away from eming water vapour during brewing process. Otherwise it can cause burns.

• Aer brewing the heang ele- ment stays hot for a while. Make sure that nobody touches the in- side of the kele to avoid burns!

• The unit may only be operated by using the provided parking device.

• Allow sucient space between this unit and other devices and walls to ensure proper venla- on. Do not cover the device.

• Do not cook any other liquids than water.

• Never operate this unit without inserted lter, otherwise hot water may spurt out.49English

• During operaon the housing becomes hot. Therefore only touch the unit by its intended handle.

• Do not overll the kele in order to avoid water leakage. Children may only use the product under supervision and guidance con- cerning the use and cleaning of the product.

1. Scope of delivery

Please remove the kele and base staon from the packing and clean the unit with a damp cloth. Aerwards connect the basis only to a properly installed grounded socket. Before regular use, ll the water reservoir with cold water to its maximum level and boil according the following instrucons. Thereaer discard the water in order to remove any residues of the producon process. Bring the water to the boil by pressing the “100 ° C” buon on the basis and throw it away. This device is designed for household use and similar applicaons only, such as for example: - in employee cafeterias, in stores, oces and other working environments; - by customers in hotels, motels and other residenal facilies; - in Bed and Breakfast establishments; - in farm houses.

Press the opening buon to open the cover. Then ll the Arendo kele with cold water and close the cover by pressing down the cover unl it locks. 70°C buon 80°C buon 90°C buon 100°C buon “Keep warm” buon “ON/OFF” buon52 English Important note: On the outside there is a scale. Please make sure not to ll in more than the maximum level as marked on the scale. If the kele is overlled, boiling water can be ejected. Put the kele on the base. On the base staon there are buons for selecng dierent water temperatures. Press the buon which corre- sponds to your desired temperature. The buon starts ashing. In order to begin the cooking process, press the “ON / OFF” buon. The LED of the “ON / OFF” buon switches from green (OFF) to red (ON). As soon as the water reaches the target temperature, the kele switches o and it will produce a short beep. The heang element switches o automacally and the process has been completed. Now the unit can be lied up and the water can be used.

The “KEEP WARM” funcon allows you to maintain a specic temperature. Press “KEEP WARM” and select a temperature. Make sure you are able to select only 70 ° C, 80 ° C or 90 ° C. Once you have selected your desired temperature, press the “ON / OFF” buon. Then the kele heats up to the previously set value and holds it.

6. Decaling and cleaning

We recommend decalcifying the kele in regular intervals, depending on the in- tensity of use. Before cleaning, it is essenal to remove the power plug from the socket and wait unl the device is completely cooled down. The scale lter is locat- ed prior to the spout. To remove the lter, open the cover and push the plasc ap downwards. Then deep clean the taken lter with warm water and insert it into the holder again. When inserng the lter, take care that the retaining lug is xed to the guide rail.Only use convenonal decaling agents based on citric acid. Please follow the manufacturer´s instrucons for dosing the respecve product you have chosen. The heang element must not be cleaned and never be processed with sharp or hard objects. For cleaning the outer surface of the kele, only use a damp cloth. Never use hard or abrasive objects like a wire brush or a steel-sponge for cleaning. Please do not use any aggressive cleaning agents which could be harmful for human consumpon or damage the surface.53English ATTENTION! 7 Safety instrucons and disclaimer Do not aempt to service this product by yourself as opening or removing covers may result in re, electric shock or equipment damage. The kele is only discon- nected from the voltage system when the plug has been removed from the socket. Please avoid any contact to the electric current. Pull out the plug before lightning storms or if you do not regularly use this product, to prevent a short- circuit. This device is only licensed for indoor use and dry areas. Please protect it from water, rain, snow or high humidity and keep it away from high temperatures and direct sunlight. Do not expose this product to extreme and sudden changes of temperature or heavy vibraons; this may lead to damage of the internal electronic part of this unit. Check kele for signs of damage before pung it in operaon. In case the device received any damage, it should not be used. Please contact our customer support. Please observe the relevant naonal provisions and legal restricons. Do not use the device for anything other than intended and as described in the manual. Any aempt of repairs or alteraons by someone other than the original supplier will invalidate the guarantee and re- sult in refusal of warranty claims. The machine may only be used by persons who are familiar with the operang manual and the applicable regulaons concerning working safety and accident prevenon. This device is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with limited physical, sensory or mental aptude or lack of experience and/or knowledge un- less they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or have received instrucons as to how the device is used properly.
