Aerwards connect the kele to a properly installed grounded socket. Before regular use, ll the water reservoir with cold water to its maximum level and boil according the following instrucons. Thereaer discard the water in order to remove any residues of the producon process. Repeat these process if necessary.. 5 Usage At rst, open the kele. To do this, pull the cover on the plasc-handle to the top. Please ll it with cold water. There is a scale on the exterior of the kele. Please do not ll the case above the maximum mark. Then put the lid on the kele. Note: Please only use the kele with the lid due to the fact that the automac shutdown only works in closed posion. Furthermore, when heated without the lid water can leak. There is a risk of scalding! Place the kele on the base plate and press the on / o switch down. The water is heated. Once the water has reached the target temperature, the kele shuts o automacally. 6 Decaling and cleaning We recommend decalcifying the kele in regular intervals, depending on the inten- sity of use. Before cleaning, it is essenal to remove the power plug from the sock- et and wait unl the device is completely cooled down. The scale lter is located in front of to the spout. To remove the lter, open the cover and push the plasc ap downwards. Then deep clean the lter with warm water and reinsert it into the holder. When inserng the lter, make sure that the retaining lug snaps into the guide rail. Only use convenonal decaling agents based on citric acid. Please follow the manufacturer´s instrucons for dosing the respecve product you have chosen. The base plate must not be cleaned and should not be processed with sharp or hard objects. For cleaning the outer surface of the kele, only use a damp cloth. Never use hard or abrasive objects like a wire brush or a steel-sponge for cleaning. Please do not use any aggressive cleaning agents which could be harmful or unhealthy. It also could damage the surface.11English 7 Important safety instrucons

• This device may only be used in accordance with its intended purpose and for private use.

• It is not for commercial use.

• This device is only designed for indoor use. Keep it away from heat sources (e.g. electric stove), high temperatures and direct sunlight.

• Do not place the kele near waters sources like basins.

• Do not touch the kele with wet hands.

• To keep the unit from dropping over, make sure that the support surface is even.

• Pull out the main plug from the socket when the machine is not in use or during cleaning.

• Please only operate the device using the electrical current indicat- ed on the boom base plate.

• This device is not intended to be used by persons (including chil- dren) with limited physical, sensory or mental aptude or lack of experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a per- son responsible for their safety or have received instrucons as to how the device is used properly.

• Children must be supervised in order to make sure that they do not play with this device.

• Keep packaging items (plasc bags, carton, styrofoam, etc.) out of reach of children, as they represent a potenal source of danger.

• Only ll the water tank with fresh cold water and do not cook re- maining water a second me.

• Do not move the machine while it is operang.

• Never open the cover during brewing process, this could lead to scaldings.

• Keep away from eming water vapour during brewing process. Otherwise it can cause burns.

• Aer brewing the heang element stays hot for a while. Make sure that nobody touches the inside of the kele to avoid burns!

• The unit may only be operated by using the provided base plate.

• Allow sucient space between this kele and other devices and walls to ensure proper venlaon. Do not cover the device.

• Do not cook any other liquids than water.12 English

• Never operate this unit without inserted lter, otherwise hot wa- ter may spurt out.

• During the operaon the housing becomes hot. Therefore only touch the unit by its handle 8 Safety instrucons and disclaimer Never try to open the device to carry out repairs or conversions.
