How to pair my phone with the Thomson SB255BT speaker?

Turn on the speaker and press MODE until Bluetooth is selected. On your phone, enable Bluetooth and search for devices. Select "SB250BT/SB255BT" from the list. If a code is requested, enter "0000". The connection is established when the LED indicator blinks then stays solid.

What to do if the speaker does not turn on?

Check that the power cord is properly connected to the speaker and to a working mains outlet. Ensure the mains voltage matches that indicated on the device (230 V~). If the problem persists, contact support.

How to use a USB flash drive with the SB255BT speaker?

Insert the USB flash drive into the USB port on the top panel. Press MODE to select USB mode. Playback starts automatically. Use the ◄ and ► buttons to change tracks, VOL+/- to adjust volume.

Can I connect the speaker to my TV?

Yes, you can use the optical input (Optical In) with an optical cable, the AUX input (RCA) with an RCA cable, or the Line-in (3.5 mm) input. Select the corresponding mode with the MODE button.

How to solve sound distortion issues?

Reduce the volume using the remote control or the VOL- buttons on the speaker. Check that the audio source is not saturated. Move the speaker away from walls or objects that may cause vibrations. If the problem persists, check the cable connections.

The speaker automatically goes into standby, how to wake it up?

The speaker goes into standby after 10 minutes of inactivity or no audio playback. To wake it up, press the POWER (⏻) button on the speaker or on the remote control.

How to replace the remote control battery?

Press the side button of the battery compartment cover to open it. Remove the battery holder, replace the used battery with a CR2025 lithium 3V battery respecting polarity, then close until it clicks.

Is the speaker compatible with hands-free calls?

No, the Thomson SB255BT does not have a built-in microphone function. It cannot be used for hands-free calls. When an incoming call occurs, music pauses but you must answer via your phone.

What is the maximum Bluetooth connection range?

The Bluetooth range is approximately 10 meters in open field. Obstacles (walls, furniture) may reduce this distance. For a stable connection, place the speaker and the device within 10 m of each other.

How to clean the speaker safely?

Always unplug the speaker before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the outer surface. Never use abrasive products, solvents, or sprays. Avoid moisture entering the openings.

Getting Started

• Remove the appliance from the box.
• Remove any packaging from the product.
• Place the packaging inside the box and either or dispose of safely.

Replacing battery

The remote control works with lithium button cell CR2025 3V batteries. When the remote no longer works you need to replace the batteries as follows:

• Press the tab on the side of the battery cover to release it and allow the battery support to come out.
• Replace the battery paying attention to the correct orientation of the poles.
• Replace the battery support pushing it inside until you hear a "click".

ATTENTION : Danger of explosion if batteries are not inserted correct.

Place the unit in the desired position and unravel the mains cable. Insert the cable into the supply socket and switch on if applicable.

Auto standby

When playing media from a connected device, the Tower automatically switches to standby if

• No button is pressed for 10 minutes,
• No audio from a connected device for 10 minutes.

It can be switched ON by using the POWER selector again.

Use

Play from external audio

You can play from an external audio device such as MP3 player through this unit.

A. Optical in Jack (Requires an optical cable)

1. Connect an Optical cable to the optical jack on back panel. Connect the other end of the Optical cable to the digital audio device.
2. Press the ⏻ button to turn the unit on.
3. Press the MODE button to switch to Optical In mode.
4. Use the controls on the connected device to begin playing audio routed through the unit.

B. Line in Jack (Requires a 3.5mm cable)

1. Connect a 3.5mm cable to the Line jack on top panel. Connect the other end of the 3.5mm cable to an Mp3 player or other audio device.
2. Press the ⏻ button to turn the unit on.
3. Press the MODE button to switch to Line In mode.
4. Use the controls on the connected device to begin playing audio routed through the unit.

C. Auxiliary Input RCA (Requires an RCA cable)

1. Connect an RCA cable to the Auxiliary Input. Connect the other end of the RCA cable to the audio output on your DVD player, stereo system, gaming system or television.
2. Press the power button to turn the unit on.
3. Press the MODE button to switch to Aux In mode.
4. Use the controls on the connected device to begin playing audio routed through the unit.

D. Using the USB input

1. Plug your USB flash drive to the USB socket.
2. Press MODE button to select USB or SD mode, the unit can play automatically. If not, press ▶
3. Press the ▶▶ to select track.
4. Press the VOL+/VOL- to adjust the volume.

Remarks: USB port is easy to sensitive equipment, will cause the equipment work is not stable.

Bluetooth Mode

A. Pairing with a Bluetooth cell phone

Please make sure your cell phone is Bluetooth-enabled. Specific pairing steps may vary with different cell phones. Please refer to the user manual of your cell phone for further information.

The general pairing steps are as follows :

1. Keep SB250BT/SB255BT and Bluetooth cell phone within 1 meter when pairing.
2. Press ⏻, button, and press the MODE to select the Bluetooth mode.
3. Switch on your cell phone's Bluetooth function and search for Bluetooth devices. After the search is completed, select "SB250BT/SB255BT from the Bluetooth device list.
4. According to indication, enter password or PIN No: "0000" and press "Yes" or "confirm".
5. After successful pairing, select "SB250BT/SB255BT" from the Bluetooth device list and press "connect".

B. Pairing with a Bluetooth stereo transmitter

Different Bluetooth transmitters have different pairing ways. Please refer to the user manual of your Bluetooth transmitter for further information. The general pairing steps are as follows:

1. Keep SB250BT/SB255BT and Bluetooth transmitter within 1 meter when pairing.
2. Press ⏻, button, and press the MODE to select the Bluetooth mode.
3. Switch on your Bluetooth transmitter and let it enter pairing mode.
4. The transmitter will search and connect with SB250BT/SB255BT automatically. After successful connecting, the Bluetooth voice will change when connected successfully.

Remarks : SB250BT/SB255BT will return to pairing mode automatically after disconnecting from a Bluetooth device.

C. Music Playback

Connecting with a A2DP cell phone or Bluetooth transmitter.

1. Connect your cell phone or Bluetooth transmitter with SB250BT/SB255BT.
2. You can listen to your music from SB250BT/SB255BT now when playing it back.
3. Press Vol+ to turn up the volume, press Vol- to turn down the volume.
4. Press to skip to the previous song.
5. Press skip to the next song.
