How to change the dust bag of the Grundig VCC 5850 A vacuum cleaner?

Turn off the appliance and unplug it. Open the dust container using the lock (D). Remove the full bag and dispose of it. Insert a new recommended bag (Swirl Y 05 MicroPor Plus AntiBac). Replace the container and lock it. The indicator (B) turns red when the bag needs to be changed.

How to clean the HEPA filter of the vacuum cleaner?

Unplug the appliance. Remove the dust container. Locate the HEPA filter (often behind the container). Tap gently to remove dust. Do not wash the HEPA 12 filter; replace it every 6 months or as needed.

What to do if suction is weak?

First check if the dust container is full or the bag is clogged. Check the HEPA filter and accessories (hose, brush) for any blockage. Make sure the carpet is not too thick. Clean or replace filters if necessary.

Can this Grundig vacuum cleaner pick up liquids?

No, this vacuum cleaner is designed only for dry dust. Never vacuum liquids, hot ashes or damp objects, as this could damage the appliance and cause a fire.

How to use the telescopic tube?

The telescopic tube (N) is adjusted using the adjustment lock (M). Slide the lock to lengthen or shorten the tube to the desired length. It adjusts automatically.

Where is the HEPA filter located and how to access it?

The HEPA 12 filter is located behind the dust container. Remove the container to access it. It can be cleaned by tapping, but should not be washed. Replace it regularly to maintain performance.

What is a HEPA 12 filter and why is it important?

A HEPA 12 filter retains over 99.9% of dust particles from 0.1 to 0.3 microns, including viruses, allergens, bacteria and pollen. It improves air quality by trapping fine particles.

How to properly store the vacuum cleaner?

Unplug the appliance. Wind the power cord using the button (G). Lock the telescopic tube in the folded position. Store the floor/rug brush in the groove (H). Place the appliance in a dry place, out of reach of children.

This appliance is designed for vacuuming dirt and dust particles. Do not attempt to use it on large objects which could block the appliance and damage the appliance.

• Do not insert any foreign objects into the suction intake. Always keep the suction intake free of all objects.

HEPA-Filter

HEPA stands for High Efficiency Particulate Air. HEPA filters are particulate air filters, which filter more than 99.9% of all dust particles larger than 0.1 to 0.3 micrometres out of the air. Viruses, respirable dusts, mite eggs and mite excrement, pollen, smoke particles, asbestos, bacteria, diverse toxic dusts and aerosols are removed from the air.
