Frequently Asked Questions - E8 Ceado

How to adjust the fineness of the grind on the Ceado E8?

Use the adjustment lever (6, Fig.2) at the base of the hopper. Turn counterclockwise for a finer grind, and clockwise for coarser. Always do this with the motor running and empty (no coffee between the burrs).

How to adjust the dose of ground coffee?

Turn the dose adjustment knob (10, Fig.2): clockwise to decrease the dose, counterclockwise to increase it. Each complete turn changes the dose by about 0.5 g, from 5.5 g to 9 g.

What to do if the appliance does not turn on?

Check the outlet, the main circuit breaker, and the ON-OFF switch. If the motor is in thermal protection, wait 20 minutes in a cool place. If the amperometric circuit breaker has tripped (on some models), press the button (15, Fig.3). On the automatic model, check that the doser is not full.

How to clean the Ceado E8?

Always unplug the appliance. Clean the base and tray with a damp cloth (water, alcohol, or spray detergent). The hopper can be washed with warm water and mild soap. The doser should be cleaned with a brush, without water.

The ground coffee does not come out of the doser properly, what to do?

Unplug the appliance and check for foreign objects in the doser. Make sure the coffee outlet is clear.

How to replace the burrs on the Ceado E8?

Burr replacement must be done by a qualified technician. Contact an authorized Technical Service.

Why does the motor block?

This may be due to a grind setting that is too fine or a foreign object between the burrs. Try increasing the grind size by turning the adjustment lever clockwise. If this does not help, stop the appliance and contact a technician.

Can I use pre-ground coffee in the hopper?

No, only pour coffee beans into the hopper. Do not use ground coffee or other substances.

What is the lifespan of the burrs?

The lifespan depends on usage. In case of irregular grind size, contact the technical service to check or replace the burrs.

Is the appliance under warranty?

Yes, the Ceado E8 is guaranteed for 3 years against any defects in materials or workmanship, provided it is used according to the manual. The warranty does not cover normal wear (e.g., burrs) or unauthorized repairs.

INSTALLATION

Complywiththesafetyrecommendationsindicatedaboveandhereafterwheninstallingthe appliance.

Fortheinstallationoftheappliance,qualifiedpersonnelmustbepresentwhoareabletocheckthe finenesssofthegrind.

1. Makesurethatthemainsvoltageisasindicatedontheratinglabeloftheapplianceandthat theelectricalsystemisgroundedandequippedwithaswitch.

2. Install the appliance in a DRY, PROTECTED place, far from water sprays or splashes, heat sources, open flames and inflammablesubstances.

Before connecting the plug to the power socket, make sure that the ON-OFF switch (8Fig.2) is in position "0" (OFF).

3 Pressthestartbutton(11Fig.3).Theappliancewillstartworking,grindingasufficientamount ofbeanstofillthedoseruptoitsmaximumlevelwhichconsidersacapacityofabout300gof groundcoffee;oncthishasbeenreached,aswitchdevicestopsthemotor.Furthercoffe grindingwillresumeautomaticallyafersixdosesofgroundcoffeehavebeenextracted.

REGULATINGGRINDING

When it leaves the factory, the machine has a standard setting, but it may be necessary to adjust grinding further. The duetovary external factorss such as mixture used, the humidity, temperature, or the particular distribution requirements of the pressroom machine.

The degree of grinding may be further corrected by shifting the special lever (6Fig.2) at the base of the hopper (see Fig.5).

Alwaystakecaretomovetheleverwiththemotorturningandempty(withoutcoffeebetween theburrs).

Todhisyoucanoperatetheshutteratthebaseofthehoppertostoporresumethedroppingof thecoffeebansintothegrindingmechanism.

• Toobtainafinergrind,movetheverinacounter-clockwisedirection.
  Toobtainacoarsergrind,movetheverinaclockwisedirection.

Rememberthatthegrindisrelatedtothecoffeeextractiontimewhichmustbe25-30seconds foracupof25-30ml.Iftheextractiontimeistoolong, thegrindmustbecoarser;ifitistooshort, thegrindmustbefiner.

NOTE!Itisrecommendedtogrindsmallamountsofcoffee,lettingtheburrsemptywitheverregulatingattempt,byopeningandclosingtheshutterereachtime.

REGULATINGDOSING

Whenitleavesthefactorythemachineisregulatedatabout7grams,butitispossibletoturnthe doseregulatingknob (10Fig.2)toadjustthisamountbetweenabout5.5gramsand9grams (see Fig.6).

Eachcompleteturnoftheknobcorrespondstoabout0.5gramsofgroundcoffee:turnitclockwise todecreasethedose,turnitcounter-clockwisetoincreasethedose.

TAKINGOUTTHECOFFEE

Restthefilter-holderofthecoffeemachineonthesupportforkandpullthedoserveralltheway onceortwicetoextractoneortwodosesofgroundcoffee.

Theleverhasastrongreturnspringsothereisnoneedtorepositionitaftereverydose.

Todistributethegroundcoffeeevenlyinthefilterusethespecialpress,ifsupplied,holdingitparallel tothefilterandpressingdownthecoffeeraspreferred.

WARNINGANDSUGGESTIONS

Insidethedoserthereisastoppingblade(9Fig.2) connectedtoaswitchwhich,whenraisedbythenewly groundcoffee,cutsoutthemotor.

Never operatethebladebyhandasthiswould riskfillingthedosertoexcessordamagingit.

Neveroperatewithouthopperandlidinplace.

Makesurethatshutteriscompletelyopen(to thelastclick)(seeFig.7).

Donotletthegrinder-doserrunlongwithoutcoffeebeans inthehopper;ifthisweretohappenitwouldcausetripping ofthemotorthermaloverloadprotection. Inthatcaseitis necessarytowaituntiltheoverloadprotectionisreset beforestartingtogrindcoffeagain.

Forthisreason, never leave the pack of coffeebeans sitting in the hopper as this prevents you see ing how many coffebeans are left.

Whenthegrinder-doserisnottobeusedduringthetimewhenthebusinessisclosed, itshould alwaysbeswitchedoffwiththemainswitch.

Putonlycoffeebeansinthopper,notready-groundcoffeeorthersubstances.

Note: Coffeegrinderwillnotstartifsafetygridisnotproperlyinplace.

CLEANING
