How to connect the gas cylinder to the barbecue?

Make sure the cylinder valve is closed (O position). Connect the regulator (EN 16129 standard) to the valve by tightening the nut by hand without using a wrench. Connect the hose (EN 16436-1 standard, max length 1.5 m) to the regulator and the appliance. Open the valve and check for leaks with soapy water.

How to perform a leak test?

Close all control knobs. Prepare a soapy water solution (1 part detergent to 1 part water). Open the cylinder valve. Apply the solution to all connections (cylinder, regulator, hose, manifold). If bubbles appear, immediately close the valve, tighten the connections, and repeat. If the leak persists, do not use the appliance and contact customer service.

What to do if the burner does not ignite?

Check that the lid is open. Open the cylinder valve. Turn the control knob to MAX. If the burner does not ignite within 5 seconds, turn the knob back to O and repeat the operation 2 to 3 times. If still no ignition, turn off the gas, wait 5 minutes for the gas to disperse, then try again or use an external flame.

Can the barbecue be used indoors?

No, this barbecue is exclusively for outdoor use. Never use it in a garage, porch, garden shed or any other enclosed space. Unburned gas can accumulate and cause an explosion.

What type of gas to use?

Use butane (28~30 mbar) or propane (37 mbar) according to category I3+(28~30/37) or the indicated 3B/P categories. Do not use charcoal, briquettes or volcanic stones. Ensure the regulator and hose are suitable for the gas used.

How to maintain the barbecue?

Clean it every two months or after a long period without use. Use mild detergents on enameled parts. Check the venturi (air duct) to prevent clogging. Store it in a dry place after disconnecting the gas cylinder.

What is the procedure to disconnect the gas cylinder?

Close all control knobs on the barbecue. Turn the cylinder valve completely clockwise. Disconnect the regulator by turning the quick-coupling nut counterclockwise. Replace the protective cap on the cylinder valve.

What to do in case of a gas leak during use?

GAS CONNECTION

This is a limitative configured grill. Do not attempt to use other type gas supply unless the grill has been reconfigured for other gas use. The installation of this appliance must conform to local codes.

Make sure that both gas cylinder and gas hose do not come in contact with high temperature part.

1. Make sure cylinder valve is in its full "O" position (turn clockwise to stop).
2. Check cylinder valve to assure it has proper external male threads.
3. Inspect valve connection port and regulator assembly. Look for any damage or debris. Remove any debris. Inspect hose for damage. Never attempt to use damaged or plugged equipment.
4. When connect regulator assembly to the valve, hand tighten nut clockwise to a positive stop. Do not use a wrench to tighten. Use of a wrench may damage quick coupling nut and result in a hazardous condition.
5. Open cylinder valve fully (counterclockwise). Use a soapy water solution to check all connections for leaks before attempting to light grill. If a leak is found, turn cylinder valve off and do not use grill until a local gas dealer can make repairs.

■ Regulator and Hose Requirements:

1. Pressure regulator: comply with EN 16129 and comply with local code (Flow rate: max. 2 kg/h).
2. Gas hose: comply with EN 16436-1 and local market standard. (max. 1.5m, max. FI 1.2m).
3. The type of flexible tube connecting the appliance to the gas cylinder and the length recommended which shall not exceed 1,50 m.
4. Care should be taken so the gas hose and gas cylinder do not come in contact with hot surfaces (above 140^ F, 60^ C) or sharp edges, and should not pass under the barbecue

■ Gas Cylinder Requirements:

1. Always place gas cylinder on a flat level surface DO NOT fix on trolley.
2. Maximum Capacity Maximum 15 kg and comply with local codes.
3. Measurement: the height could not exceed 0.6m, the dia. of the gas cylinder should not exceed 320mm.
4. Make sure the gas cylinder is lower than the gas inlet connection and avoid touching with hot surface.
5. The gas cylinder shall be 0.5m away from the appliance.

！！！WARNING！！！

1. DO NOT USE THE GRILL UNTIL LEAK TESTED.
2. Stop using and call the fire department if any leak detected.
3. Replacement hose assemblies must be those specified by the manufacturer.
4. Never insert any foreign objects into the valve outlet. It may damage the valve and cause leak, leaking gas may result in fire, explosion, heavy body injury, or even death.
5. Do not connect this grill to the self-contained the gas system of a motor home or camper trailer.
6. If you cannot stop a gas leak, close the gas cylinder valve IMMEDIATELY; call the gas supplier or the fire department.
7. Always turn off the gas cylinder and detach from the grill after use or before moving.
8. VERY IMPORTANT: DISCONNECTED THE CYLINDER WHEN THIS GRILL IS NOT IN USE.

■ Leak testing

1. Make sure all control knobs are closed.
2. Make sure the regulator is connected to the gas cylinder tightly and the cylinder is full.
3. Make a soap solution with one part liquid detergent and one part water. Prepare a spray bottle, brush, or rag to apply the solution to the connections.
4. Completely open the cylinder valve by turning counter clockwise. If you hear a "POP" sound, turn gas off IMMEDIATELY, it indicates a heavy leak at the connection. Call your gas dealer or fire department.
5. Check every connection from the gas cylinder up to and including the connection to the manifold pipe assembly (the pipe that goes to the burner) by brushing or spraying the soapy solution on the connections.

6. If soap bubbles appear, there is a leak. Turn off the cylinder valve IMMEDIATELY and retighten connections, Open the cylinder valve again, and recheck.

7. If leaks cannot be stopped, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR. Call our service center for help.

8. Always close the cylinder valve after leak test by turning clockwise.

■ To disconnect the gas cylinder:

1. Turn all the knobs off.
2. Turn the cylinder valve off fully (turn clockwise to stop).
3. Detach the regulator assembly from cylinder valve by turning the quick coupling nut counterclockwise.
4. Install the protective cap back gas cylinder valve.

GRILL LIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS

Make sure the "O" position on control knob point to the "starting point" on control panel.

1. Open the lid when lighting the burner.
2. Open valve control on gas cylinder.
3. Turn the control knob and make the "MAX" position point to the "starting point". The burner will be ignited.
4. If ignition does NOT occur in 5 seconds, turn the knob and make the "O" position point to "starting point", and repeat step 3 up to 2 or 3 times.
5. If the burner does not ignite after step 4, turn off the gas and wait 5 minutes for any excess gas to dissipate, then either repeat step 3 and 4 or light with an external flame.
6. Adjust control knob to appropriate setting by making the position point to "starting point" on control panel. When you have finished using your barbeque, close all the gas control knob make the "O" point to "starting point".
   ■ Flame characteristics: Burner flames should be blue and stable with no yellow tips, excessive noise, or lifting.

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Make sure the grill has been leak tested and is properly located.
2. Grilling requires high heat for searing and proper browning.
3. Close the lid. Turn the control knob and make the "MAX" position point to "starting point" and preheat the grill for 15 minutes.

PLACEMENT OF THE GRILL

1. Clean the grill.
2. Store the grill in dry indoors ONLY after the gas cylinder is turned off and removed, the gas cylinder must store outdoors, out of the reach of children
3. Put on the cover supplied with this grill.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

1. You are suggested to have your barbecue cleaned / maintained every two months or after period of not using.
2. Always use the mildest cleaning the enameling parts.
3. Always clean the cooking area, burner, grease tray under safe condition.
4. Check and clean the venturi in the case of blockage found. You are suggested to inspect the venturi every two months
5. Call the after service center warranty if any troubles
