Frequently Asked Questions - Carryme Mutsy

How to attach the front baby carrier to the body?
Unfold the carrier, place the wide straps (4) over the shoulder, fasten with the clip and tighten the straps and buckles (1, 2, 3) firmly. The front baby carrier is worn on the front. The back part (5) is adjustable. Pull each end of the strap until the carrier is held firmly against the body. Adjust the height so that the child's head is just below your chin.
How to place baby facing you in the carrier?
Unfasten the Carryme on one side near the head (1) and open the velcro closure (2) for easier access. Place the child in the carrier through the opening, face towards you, ensuring the legs are on either side of the crotch strap. Press the velcro, close the clicking closure (2), then tighten by pulling the strap (3). Fasten the top closure (1) for head support. Adjust the size: tightening the top closure shortens the carrier for a small child, loosening it enlarges it.
How to place baby facing away from you in the carrier?
Once the child can hold their head up without support, they can be placed facing away from you. Fold down the headrest (6) before placing the child. Place the child in the carrier with their back to you, then fasten the straps as for the face-to-face position. Adjust the size by pulling the straps (7) until the child is seated comfortably. For a smaller child, the arms go through the armholes; for an older child, the arms go over the headrest.
How to remove baby from the carrier when sleeping?
If the child is asleep, unfasten the top clicking closure on both sides near the headrest. With one hand, hold your baby firmly against you, while with the other, open the lateral sides. The front of the carrier falls down; you can lay the baby down without waking them. This method also allows passing the child to another person.
How to remove baby from the carrier when awake?
Open the side closure and unfasten the headrest to remove the child more easily from the Carryme.
What are the important safety tips for the Carryme?
Read the manual carefully. Use only original Mutsy accessories. Always fasten the child with all belts, buckles, and velcro. Ensure there is enough space around the face for free breathing. The child's chin should not be on their chest. Wear the child facing you until they can hold their head up. Monitor the child's temperature. Regularly check the straps for wear. Never use a damaged carrier. Do not adjust the carrier with a child sitting in it. Always remove the child before taking off the carrier.
What care for the Carryme carrier?
The Carryme is hand washable at 30°C with a mild detergent. Do not machine wash or tumble dry. For stains, use soapy water (liquid soap without bleaching agent) and treat the entire area. Let a wet carrier dry completely. Colors may fade despite the material selection.
Up to what weight can I use the Carryme?
The Carryme carrier is designed for children from birth up to 12 kg.
Can I use the carrier for a child who cannot hold their head up?
Yes, the Carryme is suitable from birth. For a newborn, place the child facing you with the headrest raised to support the head. Make sure the child's face is not obstructed and they can breathe freely. Ensure the child is not hanging forward.
Can I wear the carrier on my back?
No, the Carryme is designed to be worn only on the front, never on the back. The manual states that the carrier must be worn on the front.

fastening the baby carrier to your body (diag. A, B, C, D)

  • Fold the baby carrier out.
  • Check all the seals and straps.
  • Place the wide shoulder straps (4) over your shoulder, fasten the straps and buckles (1, 2, 3) firmly with the click system and Velcro. The baby carrier is worn at the front. The back (5) is for extra comfort and is adjustable. (diag. A)
Pull both ends of the strap until the baby carrier is firmly against your body. Adjust the carrier in such a way that that the baby's head is a little under your chin. Gently lift the child and use one hand to pull the waist strap. Repeat this on the other side. (diag. B)
If you wish to adjust the length of the back, you can easily adjust the length of the straps on the back until a comfortable position is achieved. (diag. C)
  • The central plastic part on the back must be positioned between the bottoms of your shoulder blades. (diag. D)

placing the baby in the baby carrier, facing towards the parent (diag. E)

  • You can create an opening for the easy placement of your child by unclicking the Carryme on one side at

the head (1) and unfastening the Velcro seal (2).

  • Push the child through the opening into the baby carrier facing towards you and hold the child against you.

wards. This gives the child a greater field of view.

  • Your baby may not lean forward!
  • Smaller children must have both arms through the arm holes. (diag. F)
  • The arms of larger children go over the side of the head support.

lifting the baby out of the baby carrier (diag. G) when the baby is awake (diag. G1)

  • Opening the seal at the side and unclicking the head support allows you to lift the baby out of the Carryme with ease.
