In transmitter mode, audio signals can be received in optical-digi- tal or analogue form and be transmitted wirelessly to a headset or active loudspeaker. In receiver mode, it is very easy to receive music or audio content from a smartphone, tablet or computer and output this in analogue form via the 3,5 mm port. All of this happens in CD quality thanks to aptX support. The Low Latency Feature enables the BTR 4.2 to achieve extremely low latency of less than 40 ms and reproduce the sound instantaneously. In this case, the BTR 4.2 acts as a Bluetooth transmitter:
1. Other Bluetooth-capable equipment should be switched
off before pairing the BTR 4.2 with devices. This will then guarantee problem-free device pairing.
2. Set the selector switch of the BTR 4.2 to “TX” and establish
a voltage supply with the help of the USB cable. The power adaptor supplied can be used for this or a USB port with 5 volt power supply.
3. Then press the function button on the BTR 4.2 briefly twice
in succession to proceed to the pairing mode. The red func- tion light should then flash rapidly.14
4. The BTR 4.2 can then be found by other Bluetooth-capable
devices and pairing is possible.
5. Once pairing has been completed, the red LED flashes twice
for one second and audio signals can be transmitted.
6. To switch off the BTR 4.2, press and hold the function button
for 3 seconds. BTR 4.2 as a Bluetooth transmitter In receiver mode, the BTR 4.2 can be connected to other Bluetooth-capable devices that use a Bluetooth transmitter to transmit audio signals wirelessly. In this case, the BTR 4.2 acts as a Bluetooth receiver: To use the BTR 4.2 in receiver mode, set the selector switch to „RX“ and follow the above-mentioned instructions from point three. TROUBLESHOOTING The BTR 4.2 will not switch on Please make sure that the BTR 4.2 is connected via the USB cable to a power supply of at least 500mA. The BTR 4.2 cannot be paired with another device a) Make sure that the Bluetooth device is no further than 1m away during the pairing process. b) Make sure that the Bluetooth function is enabled on the device being connected and that its search/pairing mode is active. c) Check whether you have selected the right Bluetooth mode (Receiver/Transmitter).15 ENG BTR 4.2 The BTR 4.2 is connected to a device, but it is not pos- sible to play any music a) Make sure that both devices are paired. Please note that the maximum operating range is 20m. Any walls or obstacles located between the devices will reduce this range. b) Make sure that the volume on the playback device is set between 50 and 100%. Warranty Congratulations! - the product is sent in its original factory packaging in good condition,
- your proof of purchase is enclosed.
5. The following are excluded from the warranty:
- Shipping damages, either readily apparent or concealed (claims for such damages must be lodged immediately with the shipping agent, the railway express office or the post office).
- Scratches in metal components, front panels, etc. (You must notify your authorised dealer directly of such defects within 5 days of purchase).
- Defects caused as a result of incorrect installation, faulty connection, improper operation (see user manual), overloa ding or external force.
- Improperly repaired or modified devices that have been opened by a party other than us.
- Subsequent damage to other devices.
