Frequently Asked Questions - BTR Evolution 5.1 Oehlbach

How to switch between transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX) modes?
To change mode, disconnect the device from the power supply, then slide the switch on the side of the device from TX to RX (or vice versa) before reconnecting the power.
How to pair two devices at the same time?
In RX or TX mode, after pairing the first device, press the power button twice to disconnect and search for a second device. Once the second is paired, turn the first device back on and select the BTR in its Bluetooth list. Note that only one audio file can be played at a time.
What to do if the device does not turn on?
Ensure the device is properly connected to a power source (USB cable or power adapter). Then press the power button for at least 3 seconds. If the problem persists, check the power supply or contact customer service.
What is the maximum range of the BTR Evolution?
The range is about 10 meters in open space. Obstacles (walls, furniture) may reduce this range.
How to know which Bluetooth codec is being used?
The LED on the device changes color according to the codec: blue = SBC, green = aptX, white = aptX Low Latency, red and blue = aptX HD. In RX mode, the codes are similar with a red LED for AAC.
How to reset the device?
There is no specific reset. You can turn off the device by holding the power button for 3 seconds, then turn it back on. To clear the pairing memory, follow the pairing procedure as if for the first time by pressing the button twice after powering on.
Can I use the BTR Evolution with my TV?
Yes, if your TV has an RCA or optical (SPDIF) audio output. Connect the BTR to this output in transmitter (TX) mode and pair it with a Bluetooth headset or soundbar.
Why is the audio out of sync with the video?
Lag (latency) is normal with some codecs. The BTR Evolution supports the aptX Low Latency codec which reduces latency to under 40 ms. Ensure your source device and receiver support this codec to minimize delay.
How to clean the device?
Only use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners. Disconnect the device before cleaning.
What to do in case of Bluetooth connection loss?
First check that both devices are within 10 meters and without major obstacles. Try turning Bluetooth off and on on the source device. If that doesn't work, disconnect and reconnect the power to the BTR, then repeat the pairing procedure.
