Preparations for use
- Placing the heated underblanket
Starting at the foot end, spread out the heated underblanket (top, see Fig. B) over the mattress. The plug-in connector 5 on the heated underblanket should be towards the head end (see Fig. C).
First connect the control unit 1 to the heated underblanket by plugging the two parts of the plug-in connector 5 together (see Fig. D).
RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE PRODUCT AND/OR OTHER PROPERTY! Please be sure
-
the plug-in connector 5 and the cable do not get pinched on the bedframe.
-
the cable does not get wedged between the bedframe and the mattress.
- the cable does not get severely kinked. Otherwise the plug-in connector 5 and the cable could be damaged.
Then place the bottom sheet as usual over the heated underblanket, so that the heated underblanket lies between the mattress and the bottom sheet.
Ensure that the heated underblanket is completely flat and that it does not become drawn together or folded during use.
Before use on an adjustable bed, verify the heated underblanket and the cables will not be pinched in the hinges, for example, or pushed together.
- Switch the heated under blanket on approximately 30 minutes before going to bed and cover it with the top sheet and other bedding. By doing this you will keep all the heat in.
- Switching on/off/Selecting the temperature
Switching on:
Using the temperature setting switch 3 on the control unit 1, set the temperature to setting 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 to switch on the heated under blanket. The function indicator 2 illuminates.
Switching off:
Using the temperature setting switch 3 on the control unit 1, set the temperature to setting O to switch off the heated underblanket. The function indicator 2 ceases to illuminate.
Selecting the temperature:
This heated underblanket has a rapid heat-up feature. Set the control unit to the highest temperature setting (setting 6). This will cause the heated underblanket to warm up quickly.
WARNING! When operating the heated underblanket for several hours, we recommend setting the control unit 1 to the lowest temperature to prevent the body from overheating, potentially resulting in burns to the skin or heat stroke.
- Temperaturelevels
Using the temperature setting switch 3 on the control unit 1, set the temperature to the desired temperature setting (see Fig. A).
Setting0:Off
Setting 1:Minimumheat
Settings2-5:Customisedheat
Setting6:Maximumheat
The foot zone is the warmest part of the heated underblanket.
Note: This heated underblanket has overheating protection. After a period of approx. 3 hours at temperature settings 5 or 6, the heated underblanket automatically switches down to setting 4.
- Selecting the automatic switch-off time
Using the switch-off time setting switch 4 on the control unit 1, set the desired switch-off time. The switch-off time can be set to 1, 3, 6 or 12 hours. After the expiry of the set switch-off time, the heated underblanket no longer provides heat and the function indicator 2 starts to flash.
To heat up the heated underblanket again, first set the temperature setting switch 3 to setting O and then choose the desired temperature setting.
