corresponds to Protection Class II. This means that the unit is equipped with either reinforced or double insulation between the mains circuit and output voltage or metal housing respectively. CE stands for “Conformité Européenne”, which means “In accordance with EU Regulations”. With the CE marking, the manufacturer conrms that this Electric tool complies with the applicable European directives. Do not dispose of electric power tools with domestic refuse!

a. Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents. b. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of ammable liquids, gasses or dust. 2. Electrical safety
a. Power tool plugs must match the out- let. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs which earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodied plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock. b. Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radi- ators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded. c. Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock. d. Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock. e. When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for out- door use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock. f. Always use tool in conjunction with a residual circuit breaker device. The use of a residual circuit breaker device reduces the risk of electric shock.

A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury. b. Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection. Safety equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hear- ing protection used for appropriate condi- tions will reduce personal injuries. c. Avoid accidental starting. Ensure the switch is in the off position before plug- ging in. Carrying power tools with your nger on the switch or plugging in power tools that have the switch on invites accidents. d. Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key left attached to a rotat- ing part of the power tool may result in personal injury. e. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations. f. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts. g. If devices are provided for the connec- tion of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used. The use of these pieces of equipment reduce hazards caused by dust.
4. Power tool use and care
a. Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed. b. Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired. c. Disconnect the plug from the power source before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally. d. Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users. e. Maintain power tools. Check for mis- alignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condi- tion that may affect the power tools operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools. f. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control. g. Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc., in accordance with these instructions and in the manner intended for the particular type of power tool, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for operations differ- ent from intended could result in a hazard- ous situation.

- Never attempt to open for any reason.

- Do not expose the battery to heat.
Do not store in locations where the temperature may exceed 40 °C.
- Charge only at ambient temperatures between 10 °C and 40 °C.
- Charge only using the charger provided with the appliance/tool.
- When disposing of batteries, follow the instructions given in the section "Disposal".
- Do not damage/deform the battery pack either by puncture or impact, as this may create a risk of injury and re.
- Do not charge damaged batteries.
- Take special care of the battery. Avoid dropping it onto any hard surface and do not subject it to pressure or any other form of mechanical stress. Keep the battery away from extreme heat and cold.
- Important Danger! Never short-circuit the battery or expose it to moisture. Do not store it together with any metal parts which could short-circuit the contacts. The battery could overheat, start burning or explode. Under extreme conditions, battery leakage may occur. When you notice liquid on the batteries, proceed as follows: Carefully wipe the liquid off using a cloth. Avoid skin contact. In case of skin or eye contact, follow the instructions below. Warning! The battery uid may cause personal injury or damage to property. In case of skin contact, immediately rinse with water. If redness, pain or irritation occurs seek medical attention. In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with clean water and seek medical attention. Chargers Your charger has been designed for a specic voltage. Always check that the mains voltage corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate. Warning!
- When not in use and before cleaning and servicing, disconnect the battery charger from the power supply.
- Never attempt to replace the charger unit with a regular mains plug.
- Use your charger only to charge the bat- tery in the appliance/tool with which it was supplied. Other batteries could burst, causing personal injury and damage.
- Never attempt to charge non-rechargeable batteries.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorized Service Centre in order to avoid a hazard.
- Do not expose the charger to water.
- Do not open the charger.
- Do not probe the charger.
- The appliance/tool/battery must be placed in a well ventilated area when charging.
- Do not work materials containing asbes- tos. Asbestos is considered carcinogenic.
- Wear safety goggles, hearing protection and if necessary other protective means, such as safety gloves, safety shoes, etc.
- Before use, remove all nails and other metal objects from the work piece.
- Make sure that the work piece is properly supported or xed.
- Do not use the machine without the guard.
- Inspect the saw blade/accessory before each use. Do not use saw blades/acces- sories which are bent, cracked, or other- wise damaged.
- Make sure that the saw blade/accessory is properly mounted.
- Only use saw blades/accessories that are suitable for use with the machine.
- Only use saw blades with the correct dimensions.
- Do not use other accessories than supplied.
- Do not use saw blades made of HSS steel.
- Do not use the machine on work pieces requiring a maximum sawing depth that exceeds the maximum sawing depth of the saw blade.

the saw blade contacts a ‚live‘ wire, the exposed metal parts of the machine can also become ‚live‘. Risk of electric shock.
- Let the machine run at no load in a safe area after mounting the saw blade. If the machine vibrates strongly, immediately switch off the machine, remove the bat- tery, and try to solve the problem.
- Beware that the saw blade continues to operate for a short period after switching off the machine. Do not attempt to bring the saw blade to a standstill yourself. Kickback Kickback is the upward and backward move- ment of the saw blade when the saw blade unexpectedly touches an object. Securely hold the machine with both hands during use. Keep your attention focused on the operation. Kick- back is usually caused by: – unintentionally touching hard objects or materials with the saw blade; – a blunt saw blade; – a saw blade that is not properly mounted; – sawing into a previous cut; – a lack of attention to the operation; – an instable stance.

Children should not play with plastic bags, foils and other small parts! There is immediate danger of swallowing and suffocation! Charging the Battery
1. Before rst use, completely charge the
rechargeable battery (10).
2. Important! Only use the provided fast
charger (12) for charging the battery. Connect the plug of the power cord (16) to the power mains. The green standby LED (15) shines.
3. Place the rechargeable battery into the
charging slot (13). Charging automatically starts. The red charging LED (14) shines. Make sure the battery can be inserted easily and without resistance. Do not apply force when inserting the battery. While charging, the battery and the charger become lightly warm.
4. Charging is nished when the red charging
indicator turns off and the green standby LED lights up again. After approx. 60 minutes a fully discharged battery is fully recharged. After charging remove the battery from the charger. Inserting and Removing the Battery
1. Insert the rechargeable battery (10) into
battery slot of the reciprocating saw. Do not apply force when inserting the battery. The battery must be inserted completely until the battery releasing button (9) audi- bly locks into place.
2. To remove the battery, press the battery
releasing button (9) and remove the bat- tery from the battery slot. Inserting/replacing accessories Use only suitable accessories and do not use blunt, damaged or bent accessories. Before inserting or replacing the accessory, remove the battery from the reciprocating saw to prevent an unintentional start of the machine. Wear safety gloves when inserting the accessory to prevent cuts.
1. Use the provided Allen key (11) to loosen
the locking screw (4) for approx. 4 turns. Do not remove the screw. Loosen the screw sufcient for the accessory clamp to move back away from the at shaft leaving a gap of the accessory thickness between the end of the locating pin and the inside of the accessory of the acces- sory clamp.
2. Insert the accessory (1) into the accessory
Make sure the small hole at the mounting side of the accessory matches the locat- ing pin of the accessory holder. Never insert the accessory upside down.
3. Tighten the locking screw (4) clockwise to
fasten the accessory. Make sure the accessory clamp is rmly secured! Carefully pull the accessory to make sure the accessory is rmly secured.
4. Reinsert the battery into the tool.

1. Fasten the work piece in a suitable vice
before cutting. If possible, remove any foreign bodies such as nails, screws etc. or make sure not to cut the foreign bodies with a saw blade that is not suitable for this work.
2. Insert the battery into the battery slot of
the tool. Always hold the reciprocating saw rmly with both hands on both insu- lated handles (6) and (8). Never reach over the accessory clamp or the foot plate. There is danger of injury!
3. To switch ON the reciprocating saw,
press and hold the lock-off button (3) and then operate the on/off trigger (7). Press in the on/off trigger further in to increase the stroke rate. For a lower stroke rate only slightly impress the on/off trigger. The stroke rate can be adjusted during operation.
4. Do not start cutting, if the saw blade is

5. First, allow the saw blade to run and then
bring the footplate (5) into contact with the surface of the work piece. Only use low pressure when operating the reciprocating saw.
6. To switch OFF the reciprocating saw,
release the on/off trigger. After the saw blade comes to standstill, remove the saw blade from the work piece. Overload Protection The cordless reciprocating saw is equipped with an overload protection. When the saw is mechanically overloaded, the tool automatically switches off (overload mode). Take the machine into operation again by pressing the on/off trigger to reset the overload mode. When you continue to work reduce the stress of the tool (exert less pressure on the work piece, use sharper blades, etc.). Note: Immediately switch OFF the machine, – if smoke or sparks are observed coming from or around the collector resp. the rotor, – if the machine does not function properly or only intermittently when the battery, charger, plug, power cable or switch are damaged, – if smoke or a strong smell of burned insulating material is observed, – if the accessory comes loose, is crooked or damaged, – if the motor runs irregularly or jams, – if the saw blade jams. Slightly open the sawn split in the work piece and extract the saw blade. Do not try to nish the cutting process with a jammed saw blade to avoid injury or damaging the reciprocating saw and the saw blade.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Maintenance There are no inner parts of the tool which need maintenance. Cleaning
- Keep safety devices, ventilation openings and the motor housing as free as possible from dirt and dust. Rub the electric power tool with a clean cloth or blow over it with low pressure compressed air.
- We recommend that you clean your elec- tric power tool immediately after each use.
- Clean the electric power tool regularly with a damp cloth and somewhat soft soap. Do not use any cleaning or solvent materials; these can attack the device’s plastic com- ponents. DISPOSAL Do not dispose of electric power tools with domestic refuse. The electric power tool is shipped in packaging to reduce transport damage. This packaging is a raw material and as such can either be reused or can be fed back into the raw material cycle. The electric power tool and its accessories are made from various materi- als such as metals and plastics. Take defective components to a special refuse collection point. Ask about these at your specialist shop or local council. The product and the user manual may be subject to changes. Technical data may be changed without prior notice. Batteries Think of the environment when disposing of batteries. Contact your local authorities to nd out where your nearest disposal area is. Do not dispose of batteries with domestic refuse.
