This is a “SEMI-UNIVERSAL” ISOFIX Child restraint system, approved to Regulation No. 44/04 series of amendments for general use in vehicles fitted with ISOFIX anchorage systems.

This Child restraint has been classified as “SEMI-UNIVERSAL” under more stringent conditions than those which applied to earlier designs which do not carry this notice.

This car seat is suitable for GROUPS 2,3 (15-36 kg) and can be installed only in vehicles equipped with ISOFIX anchorage systems and 3-points seat belts, static or with reel (see list of vehicles), in compliance with Standard UN/ECE N°16 or equivalent.

Using an ISOFIX system it is absolutely necessary reading the vehicle instructions manual before installation of the restraint system. It will fit vehicles with positions approved as ISOFIX positions, as detailed in the vehicle handbook, depending on the category of the child seat and of the fixture.

If in doubt, consult either the child restraint manufactures or the retailer.

The following situations could be illegal and will void the warranty:

1) Any modifications or change of use of the child car seat that have not been

authorised or advised by the manufacturer.

2) Any failure to fit the child car seat in strict accordance with the instructions.

The manufacturer accepts no liability for issues arising from unauthorised modifications, uses or fitting.

THE CENTRE REAR PASSENGER SEAT

If your centre rear passenger seat is fitted with a three point seatbelt system and ISOFIX system then you should use it. If your centre rear passenger seat does not have a three point seatbelt system and ISOFIXsystem (i.e. no seatbelt at all, or only a lap belt) then you should use the rear left passenger seat or the rear right passenger seat.

WARNING :The front passenger seat can only be used if it DOES NOT have an airbag

and IS fitted with a three point seat belt system.

WHEN USING THE CHILD CAR SEAT

WARNING: Warning: Make sure that the child car seat is placed somewhere so that

rigid items and plastic parts do not become trapped in doors or movable seat units when the seatn is in everyday use.

WARNING: Always use the child safety lock system, if one is available, to make it

impossible for the child to open the car doors from inside.

ENGLISH21 Fix Positioning the seat The car seat can be used only with 3 point seat belts (A) with ISOFIX anchorage point. DO NOT use it with 2 point seat belts (B). The car seat is intended to be used in vehicles equipped with ISOFIX anchorage system and 3 point seat belt, static or with reel in compliance with Standard UN/ECE N° 16 or equivalent. The car seat is compatible only with the vehicles indicated in the “List of Vehicles”. Important: MIESTENDO Fix is approved as “SEMI-UNIVERSAL” child restraint device. Therefore, it must be installed only on the vehicles indicated in the “List of Vehicles”. The car seat must be installed on the rear seat of the vehicle, in a position facing forward, using 3 point seat belts and ISOFIX anchorage system provided with the vehicle. If the installation is not properly secured, we suggest you try another seat in your vehicle. Although not recommended, the child car seat can be used on a passenger side front seat, so long as there is no active airbag in place.

WARNING: Never use in a seat with an active airbag.

ENGLISH22 Fix ENGLISH Installing the child car seat Place the child car seat in a suitable forward facing position. Rotate the bracket with ISOFIX anchors as indicated in the figure. Match the isofix anchors to the vehicles anchoring point until you hear a “click”. Ensure both stirrups are correctly engaged.23 Fix Installing the child car seat Put the child in the child car seat and adjust the size and fit of the seat (see previous step) then pass the vehicle’s shoulder belt through the belt hook (A) and the lap belt through the lap belt guide (B).

WARNING: Ensure the belt is not

twisted. Lock the belt into the vehicle seatbelt buckle ensuring it clicks into place. Both the lap belt and the shoulder belt should pass through the belt guide on the side nearest the buckle (C). ENGLISH C24 Fix Installing the car seat NOTE: The seatbelt buckle should not foul, jam or wedge itself under the lap belt guide, as shown opposite. To adjust the height, width and fit of the child car seat, squeeze the adjust lever behind the headrest and move the headrest up or down until the desired height and width is achieved. Once the desired fit is found, release the lever and check the headrest to ensure it is locked and clicks into position. X XV25 Fix The seat cover is a safety feature. Never use the child car seat with out its cover. Removing the headrest cover: Remove the headrest cover (A), by holding the elasticed band and pulling the cover forward and off. Removing the seat back cover: Remove the four pins (B) securing the seat back cover (two pins each side of the seat back). Place the pins somewhere safe for later. Pull the cover up from the base of each side protection system (C) and remove. Removing the seat base cover: Remove the two plastic belt guides (D) on each side of the seat base, carefully ease them off and store for later. Removing the seat cover ENGLISH

C26 Fix Replacing the seat cover The seat cover is a safety feature. Never use the child car seat with out its cover. Replacing the seat back cover: Slide the back cover down, over each side impact system (D) ensuring the elastic band (E) is kept to the front of the seat. Lift back material (F) and secure the cover with plastic pins (G) on the seat back. Replacing the headrest cover: Slide the headrest cover over the headrest (H) and pull the elastic around the back. Tuck the headrest cover’s fabric flap (I) behind the seat back cover. ENGLISH

4) DO NOT store the child car seat near a direct heat source such as a radiator.

1) Wipe clean using a mild soap and warm water.

2) You must not remove, dismantle or alter any part of the seat shell.

3) You must not oil or lubricate any part of the seat shell.

1) Check your child car seat regularly for wear and tear.

2) The child car seat may have a slight rattle when not in use, this is normal. If in any

doubt, contact Bolenn Hug immediately.

3) Check the adjustable parts of your child seat at intervals of about 6 months to
