-
This appliance is intended for domestic or similar use such as:
-
staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments

-
Never operate the appliance or place it on the power cord on or near hot surfaces.
- Fully unwind the power cord before use.
- Make sure the power cord does not hang over the edge of the worktop.
- Do not exceed the maximum filling capacity (max. 3/4 of the capacity of the ice cream bowl) as the ice cream will expand during freezing.
- Always fill the ingredients into the removable ice cream bowl, never directly into the recess of the housing.

- Only use the appliance when properly assembled.
- Do not use the appliance with accessories of other machines or brands.

BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE
- Remove all packaging materials and possibly any transportation locks
-
Before using the appliance for the first time, wash all the removable parts in warm water. To remove the lid of the appliance, press the release button and pull the lid away.
-
Wipe the housing and slot for the ice cream bowl with a damp, well-wrung cloth.
- Place the appliance on a dry, level work surface.
BEFORE MAKING ICE CREAM
- Before you can make ice cream, place the cooling bowl in a three star freezer compartment or in a deep freezer for ca. 12 hours. Please clean the inside of the cooling bowl beforehand. The cooling bowl should be

placed bottom down at the coldest point of the freezer. 2. Free- zing can take between 6 and 22 hours depending on the tempera- rature of the deep freezer (-30^
-
-10°C). You can tell whether the coolant is completely frozen by gently shaking the cooling bowl.
-
Tip: when the ice cream maker is not in use, store the cooling bowl e.g. in a plastic bag in the freezer so that it is always ready for use.
- If you like to prepare several flavors in succession, we recommend you buy additional cooling bowls. These can be ordered directly from us using the order form on page 41.
PREPARATION OF ICE CREAM
- Prepare the ingredients for the ice cream, as described in the recipe section. If the ingredients have to be cooked beforehand, please do this the day before to allow the ice cream mass to cool thoroughly.
- Cool the prepared ice cream mass to refrigerator temperature before use.
- Remove the cooling bowl from the freezer.
- Place the cooling bowl into the ice cream maker so that it is correctly positioned. The handgrip of the cooling bowl must be flip
poped to the down position to allow the lid to be placed securely onto the appliance.
- If necessary, insert the spindle into the mixing arm, making sure that the parts are properly connected - the end of the spindle with the two small arms must be attached pointing towards the mixing arm.
- Slot the spindle into the opening on the underside of the lid.
-
Fasten the lid onto the appliance, making sure the lid locks into position.
-
You may need to remove the power cord from the power cord pocket. The power cord pocket can be opened most easily by simultaneously pressing down on the cover of the power cord pocket and sliding it forward. The power cord can now be removed.
- Plug the appliance into a power point and switch on the appliance at the ON/OFF switch.
- Open the hatch of the ingredient chute immediately and pour the ice cream mass through the chute into the appliance.
- Because the volume increases during freezing, please do not fill the bowl all the way to the top but leave 5 to 7cm space.
- Leave the ice cream maker running until the ice cream has the desired consistency. This can take anything from 30 to 50 minutes depending on the ingredients. Please check the freezing process from time to time and switch off the appliance when the mixing arm comes to a stop.
- Alcohol should be dosed sparingly and only added at the end of the freezing time
because alcohol lengthens the freezing time.
- Switch off the appliance using the ON/OFF switch.
- Remove the lid by pressing the release button.
- To remove the cooling bowl from the appliance, flip the handgrip to the up position and lift up the bowl.
- The ice cream is best taken out using a plastic or wooden spatula to avoid scratching the bowl.
- Ice cream should be soft, but if you prefer a firmer consistency, return the bowl to the freezer compartment/deep freezer.
- The filled ice cream bowl should not be kept in the freezer for more than 30 minutes. If you do not want to eat the ice cream immediately, put it in a sealable container and then back in the freezer. Because the temperature of your freezer will generally be below the optimal -10^ for ice cream, large ice crystals could form, resulting in water streaks.
CLEANING AND CARE
- Before cleaning, always switch off the appliance and remove the plug from the power.
- Rinse the ice cream bowl and mixing arm with a mild detergent.
-
Wipe the inside and outside of the housing and lid with a damp cloth and small amount of detergent, and then wipe again with a damp cloth and clear water. Do not use sharp or abrasive cleaners. Please make sure that water does not seep into the lid. Dry the appliance thoroughly.
-
Never submerge the lid with the power cord in liquids.
- The cooling bowl must be totally dry before you place it in the freezer.
- Regular cleaning considerably increases the life of the appliance.
- Store the appliance in a dry, dust-free environment.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND TIPS FOR MOUTH-WATERING ICE CREAM
Only use ripe fruit.
Fruit pieces or berries should be added at the end of the freezing process.
If the recipe includes eggs, use very fresh eggs only.
You can replace milk by cream or cream by milk.
The more cream that is used, the softer the ice cream will be.
Sugar can be replaced by honey, syrup or sweetener (not in case of soft ice cream).
Milk can be replaced by soy milk.
Ice cream tastes best when it is fresh. If you want to store the ice cream for some time, you
should add 30g ice cream base to avoid the formation of large ice crystals and the ice cream becoming splintery. Ice cream base can be ordered at the following address:

If you want hard ice cream, place the mass in the freezer for ca. 15-30 minutes before filling it into the ice cream bowl. Particularly during
the summer, the inside temperature of the refrigerator will also be slightly higher because of the refrigerator door being opened and the higher room temperature going in. Ice cream will not melt as quickly if you add a pack of cold-soluble gelatin to the ice cream mass before freezing.
You can find numerous recipes for home-made ice cream in the Internet or a wide range of cookbooks. Please take care not to exceed the maximum capacity when trying out the recipes.
