READ CAREFULLY AND KEEP FOR

  • Before connecting the appliance to a socket outlet, make sure the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to your local mains voltage.
  • For safety reasons, this class I appliance is provided with a plug with earth connection. Always connect this appliance to a mains socket outlet with a protective earthing connection.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabili- ties or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruc- tion concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  • Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or similarly qualied person in order to avoid hazard.
  • Do not operate the appliance by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
  • The appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as sta kitchen areas in shops, oces and oth- er working environments, farm houses, by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments, and bed and breakfast type environments.

  • Regularly check if the supply cord, appliance or extension cable are defective. If found defective, do not put appliance into opera- tion. Immediately pull the plug.

2. Clean the crumb tray and reinstall it.

3. Wipe the surface of the toaster with a

slightly damp cloth and polish with a soft dry cloth. Do not immerse the unit in water. Do not use caustic or abrasive cleaners. Clean the crumb tray regularly. Do not allow breadcrumbs to accumulate in the bottom of the toaster. Toasting bread Put the bread into the bread slots and select the desired browning level. Push down the carriage lever until it clicks into place. When toasting frozen bread, press the defrost but- ton after having pushed down the carriage lever. Reheating toasted bread Put the already toasted bread into the bread slots and select the desired browning level. Press the carriage lever until it clicks into place; then press the reheat button . Toasting bread rolls Turn the warming rack knob until the rack is fully lifted. Place the bread roll on the rack and select the desired browning level. Push down the carriage lever until it clicks into place. Before first time use Complete a few toasting cycles without bread in order to prevent unpleasant smell during toasting.15

Caution In the unlikely event that bread or crumpet become jammed, unplug the toaster from the mains supply and let the toaster cool down completely. Carefully remove any residues, ensuring that you do not damage the toaster. Note
