ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTION

Thank you for your purchasing YB704 child car seat to protect your child. This child restraint was approved in accordance with the regulation ECE-R44/04, and manufactured under a strict quality program. Please follow all instructions labeled on this child restraint and in the written instructions before installing and using this child restraint. Failure to follow all instructions can result in death or serious injury in a crash.
- Please read the instructions carefully before installation. Serious injury can occur if installed incorrectly. The manufacturer declines all responsibility for any risks in this case.
- Do not make any modifications, additions or changes to the way the restraint harness of the child car seat is used; otherwise it could seriously affect the safety and functionality of the device.
- Always keep the restraint secured in a vehicle even when it is unoccupied. A child must not be placed in the child car seat alone and should never be left unattended.
- Never place the child car seat in a seating position fitted with an active airbag system.
- Never place the child car seat in a seating position with 2-point car safety belt.
- Please ensure all occupants of a vehicle use a safety belt. Any items in the car must be securely fixed; otherwise, people or goods may injure a child when in an emergency braking situation.
- Child car seat cannot be reused if damaged as a result of an accident.
- Keep the child car seat out of direct sunlight; otherwise high temperature can hurt your child.
- Buckle cannot be in semi-locked position. Always make sure the restraint is locked before using. In case of emergency, the child can be taken out quickly.
- Keep the child car seat away from any erosive articles.
- Never use the child car seat without a cover. Never use any cover which is not recommended by the manufacturer to replace the old cover, as the cover constitutes an integral part of the restraint system.
- Car seat surface will show signs of wear after using the child car seat on surfaces made of delicate materials, e.g. velour, leather, etc. Please use a thin blanket or a towel to prevent wearing and tearing.
- Child car seat can be only used in a car to protect your child. It cannot be used at home as a seat or a toy.
- The manufacturer guarantees the product's quality, excluding second-hand products.
Application


Approved by ECE R44/04 safety standard, the child car seat is suitable for children from 9 kg to 36 kg (group I+II+III). To protect your child better, there are two ways to install the car seat, depending on the group for child restraint system:
Group I: forward facing installation (suitable for a child weighing from 9 kg to 18 kg)


Group II+III: forward facing installation (suitable for a child weighing from 22kg to 36kg )
Notes to vehicle application
Only suitable if the approved vehicles are fitted with 3 point safety-belts, approved by UN/ECE Regulation No. 16 or other equivalent standards.
Important: The child car seat is only suitable for vehicles equipped with 3 point safety belts.
Please read the instructions carefully to learn how to use the child car seat.

Features of the child car seat


User Instructions:
Adjustment of harness straps
Check the harness straps height; it must fit your child's height. If not, please adjust harness straps height.

- Press the harness adjuster lever with one hand, then pull the shoulder belt harness forward using the other hand to loosen it (fig.1).
- Remove the shoulder belt harness from the metal yoke on the back of the restraint system (fig. 2).
- From the back of the restraint, pull the shoulder belt harness out of the harness slot, then push through the desired slot according to the height of your child (fig. 3/4).
- At the back of the restraint, re-attach the shoulder belt harness onto the metal harness yoke (fig. 5).
- Pulling the end of the harness adjust the strap towards you to tighten the shoulder belt harness (fig. 6).
Use different installing modes for different groups
Group I (for children 9 - 18 kg)
Place the child car seat on a vehicle seat without any inclination, ensuring that its backrest is firmly placed against the vehicle seat (fig.1).
HINWEISE:
a. Before placing the restraint, please make sure that the vehicle seat back is fully upright.
b. The harness strap cannot be twisted.
c. The restraint backrest must be placed firmly against the vehicle seat, without any gap.


- Pull the 3-point belt (lap and shoulder belt) through belt guide slot at the back part of the car seat. Please make sure that the seat belt lays flat and is not twisted.
Force the car seat against the back of the vehicle seat while pulling the shoulder portion of the vehicle belt to remove slack and tighten the lap portion of the vehicle belt, and then buckle it until you hear a noticeable "click" (fig.2).

- Press the harness adjuster lever with one hand, then pull the shoulder belt harness forward with the other hand to loosen it (fig.3).

- To unfasten the harness, release the buckle by sliding the red button towards. Then pull the harness clips and put the harness straps aside (fig.4).

Place the child in the restraint (fig.5).

Slide each harness strap over the child's shoulders. Insert the buckle tongues into the buckle until you hear a noticeable "click". Pull up on the harness strap to ensure the buckle tongues are engaged (fig.6).
- Gently pull the harness adjust straps towards you to tighten the harness for a comfortable and snug fit around the child (fig.7).
- The harness straps must be snug against the child. A snug strap should not allow any slack. It lies in a relatively straight line without sagging and it does not press on the child's flesh or push the child's body into an unnatural position. Check the harness straps near the shoulders for slack and adjust as needed (fig.8). Press the red buckle release and remove the buckle, then take out the child.



Group II+III (for children 15 - 25 kg) with a backrest








- Pull out the metal yoke from the back of the restraint (fig.9).
- Remove the shoulder pad from the metal yoke (fig.10/11).
- From the front of the car seat, pull the shoulder straps through the harness slot (fig.12).
- Lift the base cover, then take off the "E" style buckle from the link buckle strap (fig.13).
- Remove the buckle from the base (fig.14).
- Remove the metal yoke from the adjuster strap (fig.15).
- Remove the adjuster strap from the base (fig.16). Adjust the head rest to the proper height (fig.6).
- Place the seat on a forward-facing vehicle seat and adjust the headrest to the suitable position, then place the child in the car seat (fig.17).
- Pull the 3-point belt (lap and shoulder belt) through the belt guide slot at the car seat base and back part of the car seat. Please make sure that the seat belt lays flat and is not twisted. Choose proper height of the shoulder belt slot at the back part of the car seat to fit the child's body. Put the two buckle clips together, then fasten buckle and harness clips until you hear a noticeable "click" (fig.18).



Group II+III (for children 15 - 25 kg) without a backrest


- Hold the backrest, then push it over toward the level (fig.19).
- Press the base with your hand, and pull the backrest out from base with your other hand (fig.20/21).


- Place the child car seat on the passenger seat ensuring that it is firmly pressed against the vehicle seat (fig.22).
- Sit your child in the car seat with their back against the backrest. Place the seat belt around your child positioning the lap section of the safety belt under both armrests, then harness clips until you hear a noticeable "click" (fig.23).


Cleaning and maintenance of the cover
Remove the shoulder belt harness from the metal yoke. From the front of the car seat, pull the shoulder straps out of the harness slot. Remove the cover the car seat (fig.24/25).
Important
The cover is a safety feature. Never use the child seat without it. Do not put your child's safety at risk by using any other replacement covers, as they could prevent the child seat from protecting your child as well as the original cover should.
Washing instructions
The cover is removable and washable at 30^ , line dry only. The cradle safety belts and plastic components can be washed with soft scour and warm water. Do not use any chemical scour, bleachers or corrosives.
