How to pair my phone with the BeeWi BBA100?

Turn off the adapter, then hold down the button for 6 seconds until the blue and red LEDs flash rapidly. On your phone, search for Bluetooth devices, select 'BeeWi BBA100', and enter the code '0000' if prompted.

Can I connect multiple phones at the same time?

Yes, the adapter can remember up to 7 paired devices. However, only one can be connected at a time. The last connected phone reconnects automatically.

How to reset the adapter?

To reset, turn off the adapter (hold the button for 6 seconds until it turns off). Then, perform a new pairing procedure.

Why is the music sound low or of poor quality?

Check that the volume on your phone and car radio are high enough. Make sure the auxiliary input is selected on the car radio. If the problem persists, try reconnecting the adapter.

How to use voice commands from the adapter?

When the adapter is on standby (connected without call or music), hold the button for 2 seconds to activate your phone's voice commands (HFP compatible). Then speak after the beep.

Does the adapter work with a car radio without a USB port?

No, the adapter requires a USB port for power. If your car radio does not have a USB port but has an auxiliary input, use a USB power adapter or a USB car charger.

How to know if the adapter is in pairing mode?

In pairing mode, the blue and red LEDs flash rapidly. Otherwise, if only the blue LED flashes slowly, the adapter is already connected to a device.

The adapter's microphone does not pick up my voice well, what to do?

Place the adapter so that the microphone (small hole on the side) is facing you, within one meter. Avoid obstructions. The DSP function reduces ambient noise.

Can I use the adapter to listen to music from a computer?

Yes, if the computer has Bluetooth and supports A2DP (audio) profiles. Pair it like a phone.

How to turn off the adapter manually?

Hold the button for 6 seconds until the red LED lights up and then turns off. The adapter turns off automatically if the USB port is no longer powered.

INTRODUCTION

The BBA100 Bluetooth Car Radio Adapter is a simple and smart wireless audio gateway to connect your mobile phone to any car radio equipped with USB port and audio auxiliary input. Acting both as a Bluetooth Audio Receiver and a Hands-Free Audio Gateway, the Adapter allows you to listen to the music from your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone and to communicate hands-free using the car radio speakers.

The BBA100 Car Radio Adapter is Bluetooth 2.1+EDR compliant and it is compatible with all Bluetooth compliant devices using HFP and A2DP profiles such as mobile phones, music players or computers.

2. USING THE PRODUCT

2.1. Installation

Verify your car radio provides both a USB port and a 3.5 mm jack type auxiliary input located on the front. Plug the adapter into the USB port and connect the audio cable to the auxiliary input.

In the case your car radio provides one of both ports with an extension cable (in glove box or anywhere in the passenger compartment), it is advised to use additional extension USB and/or audio cables to relocate the adapter closer to the car radio with the microphone towards the user.

2.2. Power On / Power Off

The unit will automatically power on when power is available from the car radio USB connector. If you wish to power it on and off manually, follow the instructions below:

- Power On: Press and hold MFB for 2 seconds until the blue indicator starts blinking.

- Power Off: Press and hold MFB for 6 seconds until the red LED indicator lights on and off.

2.3. Pairing

You can pair up to 7 devices to the BBA100 Car Radio Adapter. To pair the unit with a mobile device, follow the instructions below:

- Refer to the Bluetooth pairing procedures in corresponding mobile phone or music player user manual.

- Make sure the BBA100 is powered off, then long press MFB for 6 seconds when device is off until the blue and red indicators blink alternatively and release the button. The unit is in pairing mode.

- Select the device name "BeeWi BBA100" on the screen of the phone and enter the pass key "0000" if requested to add this device into your phone device list.

- Confirm the connection on the phone to connect the "BeeWi BBA100".

- Check the connection by placing a call or playing the music from your phone.

- To pair another device, turn off the Adapter and repeat the procedure above.

2.4. Connection & use

• The BBA100 Adapter will automatically connect to the last connected device at power on.
• In case the connection has been lost, you can re-establish it manually by pressing MFB.
• You can use MFB to answer and terminate calls, redial the last number, access phone's voice command (if supported by the phone) and to play/pause the music. For more operation details, please refer to the function table below.

Note: when using both Hands-Free and Music profiles, hands-free will always have priority, the music being muted in case of incoming or outgoing calls and resumed afterwards.
