How to use the MS 2860 milk frother?

Pour cold milk into a narrow container (filled to a maximum of a quarter). Immerse the head in the milk, press the switch and move the frother up and down until foam forms. Stop before removing the head.

What type of batteries to use?

Use 2 UM3 AA 1.5 V batteries. Respect the polarity indicated in the compartment. Always change both batteries at the same time.

How to clean the frother?

Remove the head by pressing between the wall and the mark with your fingernail. Wash it with hot water immediately after use. The motor unit should only be wiped with a damp cloth; never immerse it.

Can I use the frother for something other than milk?

Yes, it can also prepare dressings, milkshakes, cocktails, mayonnaise and whipped egg whites.

Is the head removable?

Yes, the head detaches by pressing with your fingernail between the wall and the mark. It can be cleaned separately.

What to do if the frother does not work?

Check the batteries: insert them correctly or replace them. If the problem persists, contact a qualified technician; do not repair yourself.

How to avoid splashes?

Always keep the head immersed in the liquid during operation. Stop the frother before removing it from the container.

Can I use hot milk?

It is recommended to use cold milk (preferably whole) for better foam. Hot milk froths less well.

How to store the frother?

Store it in a dry place, away from heat and sunlight. Remove the batteries if not used for a long time to prevent leaks.

Is the frother under warranty?

Yes, the warranty is 24 months from the purchase date. Keep the receipt. For any claim, return the complete appliance with its original packaging to your retailer.

• Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing.
• The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use. Do not use it outdoors (except if it is designed to be used outdoors). Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately. Do not put it in water.
• When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull on the plug, not the cable) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.
• Do not operate the machine without supervision. If you should leave the workplace, always switch the machine off or remove the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead).
• To protect children from the dangers posed by electrical appliances, make sure that the cable is hanging low and that children do not have access to the appliance.
• Check the appliance and the cable for damage on a regular basis. Do not use the appliance if it is damaged.

Special Safety Instructions for this Device

• The milk foamer should always be immersed in the liquid before it is switched on.
• Please do not use the foamer if the axle is bent.
  • This device should only be used for the purpose intended.
• Please do not immerse the housing in water.

Before Initial Use

Please wipe off the milk foamer with a moist cloth before initial use or when it has not been used for a prolonged period.

Inserting the Batteries

(Batteries are not supplied)

• Open the lid of the battery compartment on the back.
• Insert 2 batteries of type UM3 "AA" 1.5 V. Ensure the correct polarity (see the floor of the battery compartment or the imprint on the outside)! If the device is not used for a prolonged period, please remove the batteries in order to prevent battery acid from leaking.
  • Always replace the complete set of batteries; do not replace only one battery.

Note: Batteries should not be disposed of in normal domestic waste. Please return used batteries to the appropriate collection points or to the dealer where you bought them.

Never throw batteries into a fire.

Operation

Foaming Milk

Please use only fresh milk (preferably full-cream milk). The vessel should not be preheated. Please ensure that the vessel is only a quarter full as the volume of the milk will increase greatly during foaming.

1. Pour a little milk into a suitable narrow vessel (e.g. a glass).
2. Immerse the foaming coil completely in the milk.
3. In order to start the milk foamer, press the on/off switch on the top of the device.
4. Move the foamer smoothly up and down inside the vessel until the milk has foamed sufficiently. Please ensure that the coil always remains immersed in the milk.
5. Switch off the device with the on/off switch before removing it from the vessel.
6. Transfer the foam to the coffee using a spoon.

It is also possible to use your milk foamer for preparing salad dressing, mixed drinks, shakes, cocktails, mayonnaise and egg white.

Cleaning and Care

• The foaming coil can also be removed for cleaning purposes. Place your fingernail between the housing and the marking. This will release the coil.
• Please clean the device immediately after use under warm running water. It is also possible to switch the machine on briefly. In order to avoid splashes, hold the foamer in the sink or wash basin.
• Please do not immerse the housing in water. If necessary, the housing should only be wiped off with a moist cloth.
• Please do not use any caustic detergents or abrasives.

This device has been tested according to all relevant current CE guidelines, such as electromagnetic compatibility and low voltage directives, and has been constructed in accordance with the latest safety regulations.

Guarantee

The device supplied by our Company is covered by a 24 month guarantee starting on the date of purchase (receipt).

During the life of the guarantee any fault of the device or its accessories *) ascribable to material or manufacturing defects will be eliminated free of charge by repairing or, at our discretion, by replacing it. The guarantee services do not entail an extension of the life of the guarantee nor do they give rise to any right to a new guarantee!

Proof of the guarantee is provided by the proof of purchase. Without proof of purchase no free replacement or repair will be carried out.

If you wish to make a claim under the guarantee please return the entire machine in the original packaging to your dealer together with the receipt.

*) Damage to accessories does not mean automatic free replacement of the whole machine. In such cases please contact our hotline. Broken glass or breakage of plastic parts are always subject to a charge.

Defects to consumables or parts subject to wearing (e.g. motor pistons, kneading blades, drive shafts, spare remote control, spare toothbrushes, saw blades, etc.) as well as cleaning, maintenance or the replacement of said parts are not covered by the guarantee and hence are to be paid!

The guarantee lapses in case of unauthorized tampering.

After the expiry of the guarantee

After the expiry of the guarantee repairs can be carried by the competent dealer or repair service against the payment of the ensuing costs.
