General Safety Instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this device to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.
- The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use.
Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
- When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.
- Do not operate the machine without supervision. If you leave the room you should always turn the device off. Remove the plug from the socket.
- The device and the mains lead have to be checked regularly for signs of damage. If damage is found the device must not be used.
- Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an authorized technician. To avoid the exposure to danger, always have faulty cable be replaced only by the manufacturer, by our customer service or by qualified person and with a cable of the same type.
- Use only original spare parts.
- In order to ensure your children's safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.

Special Safety Instructions for this Machine
On the product, you will find the following symbol with the warning information:

WARNING: Hot surface! Risk of burns!
During cooking, the temperature of the touchable glass surface may be very hot.
• Therefore, please only touch the mixing appliance by its handle.
- Please exercise extreme caution when opening the lid.
- Do not reach into the filler opening of the lid!

WARNING:
- Risk of cuts! The mixer blades are sharp!
- Before replacement of accessories or additional parts which move during operation, the device must be switched off and cut off from the mains.

Do not touch moving parts.

Place the appliance on a firm and even surface. Set it up so that it cannot tip over.
- The machine should only be used under supervision.
- Do not manipulate any of the safety switches. They prevent the appliance being operated without an attached mixing jug and without a closed lid.
- Do not remove the lid during operation.
- Do not use the appliance without any content.
- Do not carry or lift the appliance during operation, but turn it off first and then disconnect the mains plug. Always carry the appliance with both hands!
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capa-

Designated use
This device is used for
- Mixing of liquids
• Heating, cooking and pureeing of dishes.
It is intended for household use and similar fields of application such as
- in staff kitchens of shops, offices and other work areas;
- by guests in hotels, motels and other accommodation facilities;
• in bed & breakfast accommodation.
It is not intended for use on agricultural properties.
It is only to be used as instructed in this user manual. The appliance is not intended for commercial use.
Any other use shall be considered as not intended use and can lead to material damage or even personal injury.
The manufacturer shall not be liable for damages caused by not intended use.

Unpacking the appliance
- Remove the device from its packaging.
- Remove all packaging materials like foils, filling materials, cable holders, and carton packaging.
- Check the scope of deliveries for completeness.
- Check the appliance for possible transport damage in order to prevent hazards.
- Should the packaging contents be incomplete or should you notice any damage, do not use the appliance. Return it to the dealer immediately.
i NOTE:
There may still be dust or production remains on the device. We recommend that you clean the device as described under “Cleaning”.

Assembly
Attach the mixing jug
Place the mixing jug onto the base unit. Pay attention to the symbols while doing so. The marking on the mixing jug beneath the handle and the marking on the base unit have to be precisely aligned one above the other.
Put the lid on
- Place the lid onto the mixing jug so that the latch with the lock is situated on the right beside the handle.
- Twist the lid clockwise up to the stop. The lock must sit securely in the handle of the mixing jug.
i NOTE:
Incorrect assembly will prevent the appliance from being operated.
Instructions for use
Electrical connection
- Check if the mains voltage that you want to use matches the one of the appliance. You will find the information about this on the rating plate.
- Only connect the appliance to a properly installed earthed socket. You will hear a beep when the appliance is assembled correctly together with the lid.
Functionality of the appliance
- The appliance is operated either with the power control or with the function buttons.
- Each push of a button is confirmed with a beep, if the appliance has been turned on with the POWER button.
- With the power control you will set the mixing speed. Always start with the lowest speed (Setting 1) if the jug is filled to its maximum capacity. The function of the power control will be disabled if you use a program with the function buttons.
- With the function buttons you will be able to heat, cook and puree dishes. Use the HIGH,
MEDIUM, or LOW buttons for the heating function. You can stir the dish with the PULSE button. The cooking time can be changed at minute intervals with the hand buttons. The function buttons will be disabled if you have turned on the appliance with the power control.
Turning on / off
Press the POWER button. The indicator light will flash. The appliance will be in standby mode.

i NOTE:
The appliance can only be turned on when the mixing jug is closed with the lid and when the power control is set to 0.
- Turning on: Turn the control clockwise to the desired speed setting.
Setting 1 = low speed
Setting 2 = medium speed
Setting 3 = high speed
Setting 4 = top speed
- Turning off: Turn the control anti-clockwise to 0.
Turning on / off with the function buttons HIGH, MEDIUM, LOW
- Turning on: Press the relevant button once. The indicator light in the selected button will light up.
- Turning off: Press the button once more. The indicator light will go out. The appliance will be in standby mode. Then press the POWER button.
Function button PULSE
As long as you keep this button pressed down, the appliance will run at speed setting 2.
Display
The appliance has a display on which you can read the remaining time of the cooking program in minutes and seconds.
Cooking programs
HIGH Heating up to 100°C and cooking MEDIUM Heating, or keeping warm up to approx. 80°C LOW Heating, or keeping warm up to approx. 60°C
- The durations of the cooking programs are preset: 25 minutes each.
- You may individually adjust the times with the + and -buttons between 1 and 90 minutes.
- You may switch to another cooking setting during the cooking program. The previous duration of the program will be kept.
• After the adjusted time has lapsed you will hear 4 beeps.
Scale on the mixing container
Please observe the maximum capacity on the mixing jug:
COLD for cold liquids: max. 1750 ml (approx. 56 oz) SOUP for hot dishes: max. 1400 ml (approx. 48 oz)
i NOTE:
Foam requires a lot of volume. Reduce the capacity in liquids that foam excessively.
Closing the filling opening / Measuring cup
- You may also use the cap of the filling opening in the lid as a measuring cup.
• Always close the lid with the cap during mixing.
Ingredients
Cut the ingredients into small pieces before putting them into the mixing jug.
Operation
CAUTION:
• Always switch off the device before removing the mixing vessel from the base.
- Do not overfill the mixing vessel! Observe the gradation on the vessel.
△ CAUTION:
- Never put hard ingredients into the mixing jug! Ingredients such as nuts or blocks of chocolate damage the appliance.
Preparation
- Prepare the ingredients.
- Set the mixing vessel onto the base device, if that has not yet been done.
- Fill the jug with the ingredients.
- Set the lid with the cap onto the vessel.
- Plug the mains plug into a properly installed earthed socket.
- Use the POWER button to switch on the appliance.
Mixing cold dishes / beverages
i NOTE:
Do you want to add sugar or spices to your mixed drink?
- First switch off the device.
- Remove the cap and fill in through the opening.
• Reinsert the cap into the lid.
WARNING:
Do not put your hand into the mixing jug! The blades are sharp and rotate at high speed. Serious injuries could result.
△ CAUTION:
Objects such as spoons may never be in the mixing jug during operation.
Proceed as described under "Preparation".
- Turn the power control clockwise to the desired speed setting. Alternatively, you may also mix at intervals with the PULSE button.
- Once you have operated the appliance with the power control, turn it back to 0.
Preparing hot dishes
i NOTE:
- Observe the sequence: First cooking, then pureeing.
• Always add the amount of liquid indicated in the recipes while cooking.
Proceed as described under "Preparation".
- Select a heating function.
- Decrease or increase the cooking time with the + and - buttons, if necessary. After the preset time has elapsed you will hear 4 beeps.
- If you want to terminate the preparation before the cooking time has elapsed, press the selected function button once more.
- Put on the cap of the filler opening. Press the PULSE button briefly to bring the dish to the desired consistency.
End operation
- Turn off the appliance with the POWER button.
- Disconnect the mains plug from the outlet.
Recipe suggestions
i NOTE:
Cooking recipes for other, similar appliances are not transferrable for technical reasons.
Cream of potato soup (2 to 3 servings)
Ingredients
400 g potatoes
1 slice of celeriac
200 g carrots
1 leek
750 ml vegetable broth
1 tsp. margarine
2 tbsp. sour cream
Salt and pepper
Fresh marjoram
Preparation
-
Peel potatoes, celeriac and carrots and cut them into large cubes, wash the leek well and slice it into large rings.
-
Put the vegetables and the margarine into the mixing jug and pour the broth over it.
- Set the mixer to 30 minute cooking time at the top cooking setting (HIGH).
- After the cooking time, season it with sour cream, salt, pepper and marjoram and puree it as desired (PULSE).
Cream of mushroom soup (2 to 3 servings)
Ingredients
250 g fresh mushrooms
1.5 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. flour
12 lemon
400 ml vegetable broth
50 ml cream
1 egg
Salt and pepper
Parsley
Preparation
- Sprinkle the lemon juice on the cleaned mushrooms. Then place the mushrooms into the mixing jug and chop them coarsely (PULSE).
- Add the butter, dust with flower. Then add the broth.
- Set the mixer to 25 minute cooking time at the top cooking setting (HIGH).
- After the cooking time has elapsed, add the cream with the egg and mix it (PULSE).
- Garnish with chopped parsley and season it with salt, pepper once again.
Cream of cauliflower soup (2 to 3 servings)
Ingredients
12 cauliflower (approx. 350g)
1 onion
1 tsp. butter
1 tsp. curry
750 ml vegetable broth
50 ml cream
50 g soft cheese, fat content above 50%
Salt and pepper
Nutmeg
Preparation
- Wash and clean cauliflower and break it into florets. Peel and chop the onion, and put it into the mixing jug together with the butter and curry. Then add the broth.
- Set the mixer to 30 minute cooking time at the top cooking setting (HIGH).
- After the cooking time has elapsed, add the cream and the soft cheese and mix (PULSE).
- Season it with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
Cream of tomato soup (3 to 4 servings)
Ingredients
1 kg tomatoes
1 / 8 of the water from the cooked tomatoes
12 tube tomato puree (ca. 100 ml)
100 g cream
100 g Crème fraîche
1 clove of garlic
To season according to taste: Salt, pepper (white and black), oregano, paprika, parsley, chives
Preparation
- Place the tomatoes into the mixing jug with water. The tomatoes must be completely covered with water.
- Turn on the top cooking setting (HIGH). As soon as the skins of the tomatoes burst, take them out, remove their skins and cut them into quarters.
- Add the tomatoes that were cut into quarters to about 18 of the cooking water, season them with salt, oregano, white and black pepper.
- Set the mixer to 25 minute cooking time on the top cooking setting (HIGH).
- After the cooking time has elapsed, add the tomato paste and the remaining spices, mix until creamy with PULSE.
- Add finely chopped parsley and cut chives according to taste.
- Add the cream and the crème fraîche and let it boil up one more time. At the end, briefly puree it once more (PULSE), until the crème fraîche has been dissolved.
Pesto Dip
Ingredients
1 cup of fresh basil leaves
1 glove of garlic, peeled and roughly chopped
40 ml lemon juice
60 g pine nuts
12 cup olive oil
12 cup cottage cheese (granular curd cheese)
60 g fresh parmesan cheese, grated
Preparation
Place all the ingredients into the mixing jug and select a speed setting with the power control. Serve the dip with toasted pita bread.
Guacamole
Ingredients
1 large avocado, without stone and chopped fine
40 ml lemon juice
12 cup of sour cream
1 tsp. of chopped garlic
1 tsp. chilli
Preparation
Place all the ingredients into the mixer and select a speed setting with the power control. Process the ingredients until creamy. Serve the dip with nachos, breadsticks and raw vegetable sticks.
Herb Dressing
Ingredients:
^3/_4 cup mixed fresh herbs (parsley, coriander, mint, chives, rosemary and basil)
1 clove of garlic, peeled and chopped
2 tbsp. olive oil
3 tbsp. Balsamic vinegar
Preparation
Place all the ingredients into the mixer and select a speed setting with the power control. Process the ingredients until blended. Serve the dressing with lamb, chicken, or fish.
Margarita
Ingredients
60 ml Tequila
60 ml Cointreau
80 ml lime juice
12 ice cube
Preparation
Place all the ingredients into the mixing jug. Select speed setting 4 with the power control. Process the ingredients until blended and until the ice has been crushed.
Frozen Sangria
Ingredients
250 ml fruity red wine, chilled
125 ml cranberry or red grape juice
125 ml lemon sorbet
80 ml orange concentrate
12 cup of fresh seedless grapes, frozen
1 cup canned plums, drained
Ingredients
Place all the ingredients into the mixing jug. Select speed setting 4 with the power control. Process the ingredients until creamy.
Pina Colada
Ingredients
2 tbsp. white rum
2 tbsp. coconut cream
2 tsp. sugar
^3/_4 cup unsweetened pineapple juice
10 ice cubes
Preparation:
Place all the ingredients into the mixing jug. Select speed setting 4 with the power control. Process the ingredients until blended and until the ice is crushed. Serve immediately.
Fruit Cocktail
Ingredients
250 ml pineapple juice
1 banana, peeled and chopped
1 orange, without peel, sliced and chopped
250 ml club soda
2 tbsp. passion fruit pulp
Preparation
Place all the ingredients (except for the club soda and the passion fruit pulp) into the mixing jug.
Select speed setting 4 with the power control.
Process the ingredients until blended well. Stir in the club soda and the passion fruit pulp and serve in cocktail glasses.
Strawberry and passion fruit milkshake
Ingredients
1 bowl of strawberries without stems
Pulp of 4 passion fruits
500 ml milk, chilled
4 spoons passion fruit ice cream
2 tablespoons strawberry pulp
Preparation
Place the strawberries into the mixing jug. Select speed setting 4 with the power regulator. Process the ingredients until creamy. Then put half of the passion fruit pulp, milk and 2 spoons of ice cream into the mixing jug. Process the ingredients until viscous and creamy. Pour the beverage into 2 glasses and place the remaining ice cream and the remaining passion fruit pulp with the strawberry pulp into the beverage. Now serve.
Apple and banana pudding
Ingredients
12 small apple, peeled and without core
1 small banana, peeled and cut up
12 cup of prepared blancmange
Preparation
Cook the apple until it is soft. When the apple has cooled down, place the apple and the banana into the mixing jug. Select speed setting 4 with the power control. Process the ingredients until creamy. Then mix the fruit puree with the prepared blancmange.
Cleaning
WARNING:
- Before cleaning always disconnect from mains power supply.
- Under no circumstances should you immerse the device in water for cleaning purposes. Otherwise this might result in an electric shock or fire.
• The mixer blades are sharp! Risk of injury!
CAUTION:
- Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.
- Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
• The mixing jug is not dishwasher safe. - Do not rinse the mixing jug in a bowl of water either. The base of the mixing jug contains electronic components that must not get wet!
- Should water however penetrate the base of the mixing jug, allow to dry completely before you use it again.
For cleaning the outside of the machine use only a damp washing-up cloth.
Mixing jug
- Fill the mixing jug with about 1 liter water by adding a few drops of dishwashing liquid.
CAUTION:
Water with dishwashing liquid will foam up during heating and mixing.
- Heat up the water for about 8 minutes at cooking setting HIGH.
- Press the PULSE button briefly.
- Allow the water to cool before cleaning the inside wall of the mixing jug.
- Clean the mixing jug from the inside with the cleaning brush provided.
- Rinse off the mixing jug with clean water and carefully dry it off.
Lid and cap
- Clean these components in a rinsing bath.
- Rinse with clean water.
- Dry the parts off.
Storage
- Clean the device as described. Let the accessories dry completely.
- We recommend that you store the device in its original packaging when it is not to be used for a longer period.
- Always store the device at a well ventilated and dry place outside the reach of children.
