2. Lid/protective cover

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

1. Read all instructions carefully.

2. This appliance may only be connected to the same main voltage as shown on the rating

3. To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not immerse or rinse housing, cord or plug in

water or other liquid.

4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near children.

5. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts and before

17. Always make sure juicer cover is clamped down securely in place before motor is turned

ON. Do not fasten or unfasten clamps while juicer is in operation. Unit is designed to shut off automatically if protective cover is not fastened securely in place.

18. The appliance is not to be operated without the cover locked in place by the securing

clamps. NEVER OPERATE UNIT UNLESS IT IS FULLY ASSEMBLED.

19. Be sure to turn switch to OFF position after each use of your juicer. Make sure the motor

stops completely before disassembling.

20. Do not put fingers or other objects into juicer opening while it is in operation. If food

becomes lodged in opening, use food pusher or another piece of fruit or vegetable to push it down. If this doesn’t work, turn the motor off, unplug unit, then disassemble juicer to remove remaining food.

21. Make sure filter basket is firmly attached to adaptor.

22. Do not overload appliance or use excessive force to press food through the feeding hole.

23. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by manufacturer or its service agent or

a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

• Vitamins disappear quickly after extraction of the fruits and vegetables. The juice should be consumed as soon as possible.

• Apple juice turns brown rapidly. A few drops of lemon juice will keep it from turning brown too quickly.

• The pulp can be used as a base for soups, sauces, jams, and desserts. HOW TO USE: Please note that safety interlock prevents unit from operating unless protective cover is clamped securely in place.

1. Before plugging unit into power source, make sure the switch is OFF and the securing

clamps unit into power source. Make sure the switch is off and the securing clamps are safely locked.

2. Wash fruits and vegetables well. Cut fruits into small pieces so they can fit into the feeding

funnel. (a) The juice extractor cannot process bananas, peaches, apricots, mangos, Papayas, etc. because no juice can be squeezed from those fruits. (b) The juice extractor cannot process coconut or other hard items because they may damage the motor and filter. (c) Peels must be removed from citrus fruits, remove pits from cherries. Prune, etc. before feeding them into the funnel. (d) The juice extractor is not suitable for processing the succulent fruits or the fruits that the juice viscosity is low, such as watermelons, oranges, etc.

1. The best results are obtained when using young and particularly fresh vegetables and

fruits. In general, the softer the vegetable and riper the fruit, the thicker and less clear the juice will be.

2. Wash fruits and vegetables and dry them well, if possible.

3. Cut fruits and carrots into strips.

4. Roll leafy vegetables into clumps.
