SILVERCREST SDRB 1000 B1 - Care instructions - 1

All materials marked with the iron symbols do be treated using the steam brush.

.

SILVERCREST SDRB 1000 B1 - Care instructions - 2

Materials marked with the crossed-out iron symbol must not be treated using the steam brush.

  • Do not treat leather, velvet, impregnated furniture, or materials that are sensitive to steam. Otherwise you could damage the textiles/ furniture.
  • Caution is required in the case of materials that are sensitive to heat, such as synthetic materials (e.g. polyamide or rayon). With these materials you should test beforehand in a spot that is not visible (e.g. the inside of a seam) to determine whether the hot steam damages the material. Do not touch these materials directly with the hot steam unit3. You should only use the steam jet function.

6.2 Tips on smoothing

The best results can be obtained if you hang the items of clothing after washing, e.g. on a clothes hanger. The material thus dries with fewer creases.
To support this process, you can pull the material smooth. However, be careful not to steam your hand.
- Very strong folds or a smooth, ironed appearance cannot be produced using the steam brush. In such cases, we recommend using an iron.
- During steam smoothing, the material absorbs moisture. Allow the materials to dry completely before you put them away, e.g. in a wardrobe.

6.3 Filling the water tank

  • Use clean tap water without any additives (e.g. vinegar, starch, perfume, softener).
If your tap water is of medium hardness or higher, mix in some distilled water:
Hardness of the tap waterDistilled water : tap water
very soft/soft 0
medium 1:1
hard 2:1
very hard3:1
  • Your local waterworks will inform you of the hardness of your water.
  • Figure A: press both release buttons 5 of the water tank 8 and pull the tank straight outwards.
  • Open the lid 7 over the filling opening 6.
  • Hold the water tank 8 under a tap and fill it no higher than the MAX marking and then close the lid 7.
  • Place the water tank 8 onto the device. The water tank must audibly click into place with the release mechanism 5.
