All materials marked with the iron sym- bols to can be treated using the steam brush.
Materials marked with the crossed-out iron symbol must not be treated using the steam brush.
- Do not treat leather, velvet, impregnated furniture, or materials that are sensitive to steam. Otherwise you could damage the textiles/furniture.
- Caution is required in the case of materi- als that are sensitive to heat, such as syn- thetic materials (e.g. polyamide or rayon). With these materials you should test beforehand in a spot that is not visi- ble (e.g. the inside of a seam) to deter- mine whether the hot steam damages the material. Do not touch these materials di- rectly with the hot steam unit|
. You should only use the steam jet function.
6.2 Tips on smoothing
- The best results can be obtained if you hang the items of clothing after washing, e.g. on a clothes hanger. The material thus dries with fewer creases.
- To support this process, you can pull the material smooth. However, be careful not to steam your hand.
- Very strong folds or a smooth, ironed appearance cannot be produced using the steam brush. In such cases, we rec- ommend using an iron.
- During steam smoothing, the material absorbs moisture. Allow the materials to dry completely before you put them away, e.g. in a wardrobe.
6.3 Filling the water tank
- Use clean tap water without any addi- tives (e.g. vinegar, starch, perfume, sof- tener).
