Frequently Asked Questions - MD 15857 Micromaxx

How to fill the water tank of the steam mop?
Turn off the appliance and unplug it. Press the two tank buttons to remove it. Turn the cap 90° counterclockwise, pour about 275 ml of tap or distilled water, then close and replace the tank until it clicks.
What types of floors can I clean with this steam mop?
This mop is suitable for smooth floors (tiles, varnished parquet) and carpets (with glide pad). Avoid non-varnished wood floors, leather, waxed furniture and steam-sensitive fabrics. Always test on a hidden area.
How to descale the appliance?
Fill the tank with a mixture of vinegar and water (1/3). Turn on the appliance and let it produce steam until empty. Repeat if necessary, then rinse with clean water. Descale every 25-50 fills or once a month in hard water areas.
What to do if the steam jet is weak?
Check that the accessories or steam outlet are not blocked. Unplug the appliance, clean or descale the accessories and appliance as indicated in the manual. If the problem persists, contact after-sales service.
How to mount accessories on the steam mop?
For most accessories, insert the adapter nozzle into the steam mop until it clicks, then place the accessory on top and turn 90° clockwise to lock. The cleaning foot mounts directly without adapter nozzle.

No, never pour additives, detergents or alcohol-based aromatic products into the tank. This would damage the appliance. Use only tap or distilled water.
How to wash the cleaning cloths?
Machine wash the cloths at 60 °C with similar colors. Do not use bleach or fabric softener, as this may reduce their effectiveness.
What to do if steam escapes from the connections?
Unplug the appliance and let it cool down. Check that the accessory is correctly mounted and properly clicked. Reassemble following the instructions in the manual.
The appliance does not turn on, what to check?
Make sure the plug is properly inserted and the outlet works. Check that the on/off button is in position I. If the problem persists, contact after-sales service. Do not attempt to repair yourself.
What is the water tank capacity?
The tank has a capacity of about 275 ml. Fill it to the indicated level. This provides sufficient autonomy for standard cleaning.
