How long can I use the blender continuously?

The maximum operating time is 1 minute. After each cycle, let the appliance cool down for at least 1 minute.

Can I chop ice with this blender?

No, this appliance is not designed to crush ice or break hard, dry foods like nuts or rock sugar. This could dull the blade.

How do I clean the blender blade?

Wash the blade and accessories in warm soapy water after use. Caution: the blades are extremely sharp, handle with care. The motor unit must never be immersed.

What types of food can I prepare with the chopper?

The chopper can chop meat (up to 200 g), vegetables, onions, etc. Remove bones and cut meat into 10-15 mm pieces before placing in the bowl.

How to install the immersion blender?

Attach the blending tool to the motor unit and lock by turning clockwise. To remove, turn counterclockwise. Ensure the appliance is unplugged before any handling.

Can I use the blender for hot preparations?

Yes, you can blend cooked soups, but do not operate the appliance in hot fat to avoid splashes and burns. Let it cool slightly.

What to do if the blender does not start?

Check that the appliance is properly plugged in and the power outlet works. If the problem persists, contact AEG after-sales service. Do not attempt to repair yourself.

How to store the blender?

After cleaning and drying, you can hang the appliance on the provided wall hook (see figure 6) or store it horizontally in a drawer. Do not place it vertically.

Is the egg beater included?

Yes, the STM1155 model comes with an egg beater (whisk) that attaches to the motor unit. Use it to beat egg whites or whole eggs.

Can I blend foods in any container?

You can use any container, but it is recommended to use tall, round plastic bowls to avoid splashes. Do not fill the container more than 2/3 full.

When using your appliance

• Ensure fingers are kept away from them moving mixing blade. This could result in injury!
• Keep h ands and utensil s out of container while bl ending to reduce the risk of severe injury to persons or dam age to the bl ender. A scraper may be used but must be used only when the bl ender is not running.
• Never use themixer if you have wet hands.
• Do not use this appliance to stir paints (I acquers, pol yesters etc.) This could result in an expl osion!
• Never use the appliance in hot fat (there is a danger of splashing and you could burn yourself).
  The appliance should be switched off and unplugged before any cleaning or maintenance work is done on it.
• Never clean the motor part under running water or submerge it in washing up water.
• Avoid letting themixing attachment runnig dry for more than 15 seconds.
• The mixing attachment is only to be inserted into or removed from the appliance when it is switched off.
  The blender can be used to mix food in any suitable bowl. Standard household plastic mixing bowls are the ideal choice, if these are sufficient deep, rounded and non-slip.
  To reduce the risk of injury, never place cutting blade on base with out first putting bowl properly in place.
• Be sure chopper lid is securely locked in place before operating appliance.
• Never switch on the appliance until the working attachment is in the mixing bowl with the ingredients to be processed. Always wait until the attachment stops before you remove the bowl.

• Do not hold any hard objects (e.g. a spoon, knife or whisk) against them moving attachment and do not touch it with your hand. The appliance cannot be used for chipping ice or blending hard and dry substance, such as nut, candy. Otherwise the blade could be blunted.
  The use of accessory not recommended by them manufacturer may cause injuries to persons.

• Do not operate the appliance for other than its intended use.

• Do not stand the appliance upright for storage but lay it down flat, otherwise there is a danger of an accident.
• When you have finished working with the appliance, switch it off and unplugging it from the electricity supply.

Disposal

Pack aging material

The pack aging material are environmental friendly and can be recycled. The plastic components are identified by markings, e.g. >PE < , > PS < , etc. PI ease dispose of the pack aging material in the appropriate container at the community waste disposal facilities.

Preparing for use

Before using for the first time, it is advisable for reasons or hygiene to clean them mixing attachment. Dry them mixing attachment well before using it.

Inserting/removing themixing attachment (Figure 3)

Before inserting or rel easing themixing attachment, sw itch off the blender and removetheplug fromthemains socket!

Insert themixing attachment tothemotor part and Iock it by turning cl ock wise.

Working with the blender

The appliance can be used for up to 1 m inute with out stopping. It shoul d be al lowed to coo afterwards for at I east 1 m inute.

Im portant: Bl ades are very sh arp, h andle with care. Ensure that the hand-held blender is unplugged from the power outlet et before assem bl ing or removing attachments.

Insert the blender deep into the bowl, then press switch A (for speed I) or switch B (for speed II) (Figure 2).

i Start all types of processing at speed I. This will avoid powdery foods and liquids spraying out.

• the mixing attachment never has more than two-thirds of its length immersed in the material,

• the mixing bowl is never more than two-thirds full (to avoid the danger of splashing).

Attach the lid onto the chopper bow and turn it in clockwise direction until it locks into position (see position B). To detach the lid, turn in adverse direction.

Insert the top part of the ch opper into the hole of the ch opper lid, and turn in clockwise direction to lock (see position C).

PIug the appliance to power outlet and depress the switch to begin operation.

To stop the appliance, release the switch at the top of the motor unit.

Caution: To reduce the risk of injury, never place cutting blade on base with out first putting bowl properly in place.

To assemble the egg white beater with the motor unit, turn them motor unit clock wise direction until tightened. To disassemble, turn in the adverse direction (see position A).

Plug the hand-held blender to power outlet.

Lower the hand-held blender into food and depress the switch at the top of the motor unit (see position C).

To stop the hand-held blender release the switch at the top of themotor unit.

Quick cleaning

You can fix the wall bracket as fol I ow ing:

Between processing tasks, hold the h and-held blender in the cup half filled with water and turn on for a few seconds.

CI eaning and m aintenance

Maxim um continuous operating time: 1 minute

Ensure that the hand-hel d blender is unplugged from the power outlet before assembling or removing attachments for cleaning or maintaining.

Note: Do not immerse the detachable stem of the blender in water because overtime the lubrication on the bearings may wash away.

W ash the detach able stem under running water, with out the use of abrasive cleaner or detergents. After finishing cleaning the detach able stem, place it upright so that any water which may have got in, can drain out.

W ash the cup, bowl, beater and blade in warm soapy water.

The mixing attachment, the bowl and the beater are not recommend to place in dish washing machine as the plastic component deteriorate through prolonged use of dish washer cleaning.

Unplug the motor unit. Wipe the motor unit with a damp cloth. Never immerse it in water for cleaning as an electronic shock may occur.

Dry thoroughly.

Caution: Blades are very sh arp, handle with care.

Reassemble the blender shaft to motor unit then place it upright in wall bracket (see Figure 6.) or hang it up for saving space.
