How to connect the LED strip to the VM161?

Connect the common anode LED strip to the output terminals of the VM161: Red (R), Green (G), Blue (B) and 12 V power. Respect the polarities.

How to pair the remote control with the VM161 controller?

Press and hold the on/off button until the LED turns on. Briefly press button 1, then button 8. The LED flashes once. Press the on/off button twice to confirm.

How to configure an address for multiple controllers?

Make sure only the controllers to be configured are powered on. Press and hold the on/off button until the LED turns on. Briefly press button 3 (LED flashes 3 times). Choose an address between 1 and 8 by pressing the corresponding button. Confirm with two presses on the on/off button.

What batteries to use for the remote control?

Use 3 R03 batteries (AAA). Insert them respecting the polarity indicated in the compartment.

How to select the 7 available colors?

Press buttons 1 to 7: 1 = red, 2 = green, 3 = blue, 4 = yellow, 5 = light blue, 6 = pink, 7 = white.

VM118R remote control setup

1. First connect the RGB led-strip to the controller VM161, see page 2.
2. Place 3 AAA battery's in the remote control

Insert the batteries in the battery compartment as indicated in figure and close the compartment.

Remark: Respect your national and local laws when disposing of empty batteries.

Note: All settings remain in memory after battery replacement

2. keep button 'on/off' pressed until the led lights

3. briefly press button '1'
4. briefly press button '8' (the led will blink once)
5. press button 'on/off' twice to confirm the setting (the led will turn off)

4. Learning the remote to the VM161 controller

make sure that all VM161 controllers that need to respond to the remote are turned on (turn off all others if necessary)
- keep button 'on/off' pressed until the led lights
- briefly press button '3' (the led wil blink 3x times)
- choose an address between 1 and 8 by pressing the corresponding button briefly
- press button 'on/off' twice to confirm the setting (the led will turn off)

Operation

Press button 1 ... 7 to choose the colour.

2:green
3:blue
4:yellow
5:light blue
6 : pink
7:white

Press and hold button 8 to dim the output. Dimming direction changes at release.
