The transmitter can be connected to various audio sources: TV sets, laptops, media players, stereo systems, etc. The cable ends with a stereo jack which is suitable for connection to all devices with headphone jacks or signal with a diameter of 3.5 mm (eg: MP3 players, televisions, portable CD). 1. Connect the external power supply to the socket (2) on the back of the

PUTTING THE TRANSMITTER
The gure shows the approximate range of the infrared transmitter. The listening position should be within the area indicated. The infrared rays do not pass through walls or opaque glasses for which reception is possible only when between the transmitter and the headset there are no obstacles. The sun and the halogen lamp emitting infrared radiation that could diturbare the device. 1. Open the battery compartment in the headset (2) acting in the direction
indicated by the arrow on the door.
2. Insert two “AAA” size batteries matching the polarities inside the
battery compartment (6).
3. Close the battery door.
LISTENING TO THE PROGRAMS
1. Turn on the transmitter, the switch (1) to the ON position.
2. Power on the audio source to which the transmitter is connected and
choose the program you want to hear.
3. Put on the headphones and turn on the receiver by pressing the power-
ON-OFF switch-off (8) (indicator (9) lights up).
4. Adjust the volume with the control located on the right headphone (11).
5. Pressing the Monitor button (10) off the sound transmitted from the
audio source, press Monitor (10) to restore the sound.
6. Remember to turn off the unit, by pressing the ON-OFF button (8) at
the end of listening to prevent draining the batteries (indicator (9) is off). WARRANTY
1. The appliance is guaranteed for 24 months from the date of purchase.
2. The warranty is valid only if the unit has not been tampered with. The
warranty is valid only at authorized TREVI assistance centres, that will repair manufacturing defects, excluded replacement of labels and removable parts.
3. TREVI is not liable for damage to people or things caused by the use of this
unit or by the interruption in the use of this unit. ENGLISHFRS 1240 WARNINGS This device is a high precision electronic instrument, so avoid using it in the following cases:
- Near heat sources such as radiators and stoves.
- In very humid places such as bathrooms, swimming pools, etc...
- In very dusty places.
- In places subject to strong vibrations.
- Listening at high volume for a long time may damage your hearing.
- Position the appliance so that there is always enough space at its sides for free circulation of air (at least 5cm).
- If liquids penetrate inside the appliance, immediately disconnect the plug from the socket and take the appliance to the nearest authorized TREVI service center.
- Always check that the power supply is installed correctly.
- Use only accessories supplied in the package.
- When listening, make sure you stay within range of the transmitter.
- Do not cover the infrared sensors with your hands or hair.
- If the headset is exposed to direct sunlight, reception problems may occur.
- No naked ame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the appliance.
- The appliance must not be exposed to dripping or splashing water and no objects lled with liquids, such as vases, must be placed on the appliance.
- Power adaptor must be connected to a socket close to the device and must be easily accessible.
- If you notice eccessive heat on the device or power adaptor, disconnect the plug from the main power socket immediately.
- Do not pull the power cord.
