• Never leave the product unsupervised while it is switched on.

• Never immerse electrical parts of the product in water during cleaning or operation. Never hold the product under running water.

  The mains voltage must match the information on the rating label of the product.
• The power plug is used as the disconnect device. Please be sure that the power plug is in operable condition.
  Only unplug from the power socket can separate the product completely from the mains.
• Avoid damages to the power cord that may be caused by kinks or contact with sharp corners.
• Keep this product including power cord and power plug away from all heat sources like for example, ovens, hot plates and other heat-producing products/objects.
  Only unplug from the power socket by the plug itself. Do not pull on the cord.

• Warning! Do not use this product near water or heavy moisture; e.g. in a damp basement or beside a swimming pool or bathtub.
  This product is not suitable for commercial use. It is designed for household use only.
• Operate this product under supervision only. Even when leaving the room briefly, always pull the plug and put the device in its stand base.
• When operating the product, high temperatures develop on the housing and soleplate which could lead to burns if you come into contact with them. Possible hazards could also occur from escaping steam or hot water. Do not point the steam toward people.
  Use the handle only for handling.
• Do not iron or freshen up garments with steam while they are being worn.
  The cord must not come into contact with hot parts of the device and must not be wrapped around the product.
• Do not put the product on hot surfaces (e.g. stove, hot plates and so on) or near open gas flames.
• Fill the water tank with water only.

Intended use

This product is suitable for ironing garments and textiles only. Any other use may result in damage to product or injuries.

Before first time use

Remove the product and accessories carefully from the original packaging. It is recommended to keep the original packaging for storage. If you wish to dispose of the original packaging, please observe applicable legal provisions.

Should you have any questions regarding proper disposal, contact your local waste management center.

Inspect the delivery contents for completeness and damages. Should the delivery contents be incomplete or damaged, contact your sales outlet immediately.

Filling water tank

Fill the water tank with water to steam iron and before using the spray nozzle.

1. Unplug the power plug from the power outlet.
2. Set the steam control knob to Position.
3. Open the cover cap of the filling opening.
4. Hold the iron diagonally and use the filling cup to fill the water tank.
5. Caution! Do not fill the water tank above the MAX mark.
6. Close the cover cap of the fill opening until it audibly locks in.

Caution

Do not put any fragrances, vinegar, laundry starches, decalcifying agents, ironing aids or other chemicals in the water tank.

Note

If the tap water in your area is very hard, using equal parts of tap water and distilled water is recommended; but do not use distilled water only.

Spraying

The spray knob can dampen the laundry in difficult spots. The spray nozzle can be used in dry and steam ironing, independent of the set temperature.

Steam ironing and steam boost function

Steam ironing and steam boost can only be used at temperatures between 3 and MAX. This temperature range is shown on the temperature control.

1. Put the water-filled iron onto its standing base.
2. Connect the power plug to a suitable power outlet.
3. Set the desired temperature on the temperature control dial by turning it to the ironing setting. The operation control LED and indicator light turns on.
4. The temperature control light is illuminated as long as the iron is heating up. It switches off as soon as the set temperature has been reached.
5. You can set the desired steam amount on the steam control or you can shut the steam off entirely for dry ironing.
6. Press the knob to generate a steam boost.

Dry ironing

The tank can be empty for dry ironing. Once water is in the tank, the steam boost can also be used at higher temperatures for dry ironing.

Caution

Never directly point the steam boost into the direction of people or animals!

Always iron on a heat-resistant surface only.

After Use

1. Unplug the power plug from the power outlet.
2. Put the iron back onto its stand base.
3. Let the product cool down.

Automatic Switch-off

This product switches off automatically if it has not been used for a certain period of time. Once the product is moved again, it switches itself on again.

Horizontal position If the product is sitting on its soleplate and is not moved for 30 seconds, it switches off automatically.

Note

A short acoustic alarm signal is heard and the LED light on the handle starts to flash.

Vertical position

This product switches off after approx. 8 minutes, if it is on its stand base and is not in used.

Cleaning and care

1. Put the steam control on the Position.
2. Unplug from the power outlet and let the product cool down.
3. Rinse off the calcium particles and other deposits from the soleplate with a damp cloth and some detergent.
4. Clean the upper part of the iron with a damp cloth.
5. Rinse out the water tank regularly with clear water and then empty it.
6. Keep the product upright in a safe and dry place.

Caution

Do not use any abrasive sponges, vinegar or other chemicals in order to clean the soleplate.

Note

In order to keep the soleplate smooth, it should not come into contact with metal objects.

Self clean function

The self clean function cleans the product of impurities. Cleaning with the self clean system should be carried out as follows before the first use, after longer periods of disuse or every 10 to 15 days:

1. Unplug the power plug from the power outlet.
2. Put the steam control knob to the Position.
3. Fill the water tank to the MAX mark.
4. Put the product onto its stand base.
5. Connect the power plug to a suitable power outlet.
6. Set iron to the maximum temperature, Disconnect from the power outlet as soon as the temperature control light turns off.
7. Hold the device in a horizontal position over a sink. Press on SELF CLEAN and continue pressing.
8. Gently move the device back and forth until damp and hot water cease to escape.
9. Shake out any remaining water out of the water fill opening. Once the soleplate has cooled down, it can be cleaned with a damp cloth.

Caution

Do not put any vinegar or other decalcifying agents into the water tank.

Do not dispose of this product as unsorted municipal waste. Return it to a designated collection point for

the recycling of WEEE. By doing so, you will help to conserve resources and protect the environment. Contact your retailer or local authorities for more information.
