Safety advice and warnings
- Read these instructions carefully before switching on the appliance and keep them for future reference. Failure to follow and observe these instructions could lead to an accident.
Electrical safety:
- Do not use the appliance if the cable or plug is damaged.
- Ensure that the voltage indicated on the rating label matches the mains voltage before plugging in the appliance.
- Connect the appliance to a socket
that can supply a minimum of 10 amperes.
- The appliance's plug must fit into the mains socket properly. Do not alter the plug. Do not use plug adaptors.
- If any of the appliance casings breaks, immediately disconnect the appliance from the mains to prevent the possibility of an electric shock.
- Do not use the appliance if it has fallen on the floor, if there are visible signs of damage or if it has a leak.
- CAUTION: Maintain the appliance dry.
- CAUTION: Do not use the appliance near water.
- Do not use the appliance near bathtubs, showers or swimming pools.
- Do not use the appliance with damp hands or feet, or when barefooted.
- Do not force the power cord. Never use the power cord to lift up, carry or unplug the appliance.
- Do not wrap the power cord around the appliance.
- Do not clip or crease the power cord.
- Do not allow the power cord to come into contact with the appliance's hot surfaces.
- Check the state of the power cord. Damaged or tangled cables increase the risk of electric shock.
- As an additional protection to the electrical supply for the appliance, it is advisable to have a differential current device with a maximum sensitivity of 30mA . Ask for advice from a competent installer.
- Do not touch the plug with wet hands.
Personal safety:
- Do not touch the heated parts of the appliance, as it may cause serious burns.
- The temperature of the accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is in use.
- Do not use the appliance with wet feet.
Use and care:
- Fully unroll the appliance's power cable before each use.
- Do not use the appliance on wet hair.
- Do not use the appliance if the on/off button does not work.
- If you use the appliance in a bathroom or similar place, unplug the appliance from the mains when it is not in use, even if it is only for a short while, as proximity to water involves a risk, even if the appliance is disconnected.
- Unplug the appliance from the mains when not in use and before undertaking any cleaning task.
- This appliance is for household use only, not professional or industrial use.
- This appliance is not a toy. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- This appliance is intended for adult use. Ensure that this product is not used by the disabled, children or people unused to its handling.
- This appliance should be stored out of reach of children and/or the disabled.

Do not expose the appliance to extreme temperatures.
- Keep the appliance in a dry, dust-free place, out of direct sunlight.
- Use the appliance in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use the appliance for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
- Never leave the appliance connected and unattended if is not in use. This saves energy and prolongs the life of the appliance.
- Do not use the appliance with pets or animals.
Service:
- Make sure that the appliance is serviced only by specialist personnel, and that only original spare parts or accessories are used to replace existing parts/accessories.
- Any misuse or failure to follow the instructions for use renders the guarantee and the manufacturer's liability null and void.

Instructions for use
Before use:
- Make sure that all the product's packaging has been removed.
- Prepare the appliance according to the function you wish to use:
Use:
-
Unroll the cable completely before plugging it in.
-
Connect the appliance to the mains.
-
Turn the appliance on, by using the on/off button.
-
Select the desired temperature using the heat setting buttons +/-
-
LCD display will flash until the selected temperature is reached by the appliance.
-
The temperature will depend on the type of hair.
-
In general it is advisable to select the lowest temperature for very fine, dyed or damaged hair, and use higher temperatures for hair that is curly, thick or difficult to manage. Consult the table below:
130-160°C Fine, bleached or damaged hair
160-200°C Normal, dyed or wavy hair 200-230°C Thick or curly hair
How to straighten the hair:
-
Comb hair well before straightening.
Make sure there are no tangles or knots. -
Take a strand of hair no wider than 5cm . Place it between the plates.
-
Hold plates tight by pressing the handle together. Hold for 2-3 seconds and slide the strand from the head towards the ends of the hair.
-
Do not hold the hair between the plates for more than 2-3 seconds.
-
Style the next strand of hair. Ensure the next strand overlaps with the previous strand.
How to curl the hair:
-
Comb hair well before curling it.
Make sure there are no tangles or knots. -
Take a strand of hair no wider than
5cm. Place it between the plates at 10-15cm from the head.
-
Round the strand of hair around the hair straightener holding the end of the strand (Fig. 1)
-
Twist the appliance 360^ to the inside of the strand (Fig. 2)
-
Hold plates tight by pressing the handle together and slide the strand from the head towards the ends of the hair (Fig. 3)
Locking system:
-
The appliance has a lock switch to keep plates locked for easy storage.
-
Press the plates together and push the lock inside to lock them. Press the plates together and pull out the switch to unlock them. (Fig. 4)
Hair comb accessory (H):
-
This accessory has been designed to avoid the hand holding the strand of hair to touch hot hair.
-
Place your fingers inside the accessory and use it as clamp to hold the strand of hair being straightened (Fig. 5)
-
Slide it through the hair towards the end of the strand while straightening the hair (Fig. 6)
Once you have finished using the appliance:
-
Stop the appliance using the on/off button.
-
After 60 minutes approximately the appliance will switch off automatically.
-
Unplug the appliance from the mains.
-
Clean the appliance.

Cleaning
-
Disconnect the appliance from the mains and allow it to cool before undertaking any cleaning task.
-
Clean the equipment with a damp cloth with a few drops of washing-up liquid and then dry.
-
Do not use solvents, or products with an acid or base pH such as bleach, or abrasive products, for cleaning the appliance.
-
Never submerge the appliance in water or any other liquid or place it under running water.

Anomalies and repair

Take the appliance to an authorised technical support service if a product damage or other problems arise. Do not try to dismantle or repair without assistance, as this may be dangerous.
-
If the connection to the mains has been damaged, it must be replaced and you should proceed as you would in the case of damage.
