How to change the ink roller?

Turn the calculator off. Remove the printer cover. Lift the ink roller out of the holder. Install a new ink roller (IR40T) and replace the cover.

How to install the paper roll?

Raise the spool support arm. Place the paper roll on the support, with the paper unrolling from the bottom. Insert the paper into the slot at the back of the machine. Turn on the device and press the PAP key to advance the paper.

What to do if error 'E' is displayed?

The 'E' error appears if the result exceeds 12 digits, if a division by zero is attempted, or if the input speed is too fast. Press the CE/C key to clear the error.

How to set the date and time?

Use the CALENDAR AND TIME SETTING key. Refer to the manual for the exact procedure. After a reset, you will need to reconfigure these settings.

How to perform a margin calculation?

Use the COST, SELL, MARGIN keys. Enter two values (e.g., cost and selling price) then press the key for the missing value to obtain the result.

How to use currency conversion?

Use the C1, C2 keys. First set the exchange rate via the selector. Enter an amount, then press C1 or C2 to convert.

How to clean the calculator?

Turn off the calculator. Clean it with a dry cloth. Never use water, solvents (alcohol, thinner) or abrasive products.

What to do if the calculator does not turn on?

Check that the switch is in PRINT or ON position. Make sure the AC adapter is plugged in (if used) or that the batteries are installed correctly (4 AA batteries). If the problem persists, press the reset button on the back.

How to reset the calculator?

Press the reset button located on the back of the calculator with a thin object. After the reset, you will need to reconfigure the calendar, time, exchange rates and tax rates.

What types of batteries to use?

Use 4 AA batteries (LR6) for power. You can also use a DC 6 V, 300 mA AC adapter (not included).

This printing calculator should be used exclusively for business indoors. Any other use is considered unintended use.

General information/Safety notes

Your calculator is a highly sophisticated piece of equipment.

Never try to repair it yourself. If repairs are necessary, give the calculator to an authorized service center or your sales outlet.

Never insert metallic objects such as screwdrivers, paper clips, etc. into the calculator. They may damage the cash register and present the danger of causing an electric shock.

Always switch off the calculator after having finished your work.

Clean the calculator by dusting it with a dry cloth. Never use water or solvents, such as paint thinner or alcohol, to clean the calculator.

In order to completely disconnect the cash register from the power supply, disconnect the power plug from the mains socket.

Do not expose the cash register to excessive heat.

Important transport note

In the case of damage caused during transport, the unit must be returned with the packaging, operating instructions and accessories.

Connection to the power supply

Before connecting the calculator to the power supply, check that the voltage and frequency specifications on the rating plate correspond to the local power supply.

Safety note

The power socket must be located close to the calculator and be easily accessible. This enables the calculator to be disconnected from the power supply quickly in an emergency.

Note

All data is retained following disconnection from the power supply.

Disposal

Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste, use separate collection facilities.

Contact your local government for information regarding the collection systems available.

If electrical appliances are disposed of in landfills or dumps, haze

dous substances can leak into the groundwater and get into the food chain or poison the flora and fauna for years to come.

Keyboards Describe

CE C	When performing a calculation, press once to clear the last entered value. Press again to clear all entered values, except memory. This key is also used for clearing the overflow error.
1 = 9, 0, 00,	Digit keys.
+ -, x, ÷, =, %	Function keys.
+/-	Sign change key.
→	Scroll Right key (moves the number displayed to the right, deleting the last digit on the right-hand side).
	Paper feed.
C1 C2	Used for calculating the currency.
COST SELL/MARGIN	Used for calculating the cost, selling price and profit margin amount. Enter the value of any 2 items to obtain the remaining value (e.g. enter the value of the cost and the selling price to obtain the profit margin%).
	Used for setting the calendar and time.
TAX+ TAX-	Used for calculating the tax.
#metric Promote	Used for calculating the metric conversion.
#/P	Non-Add Key - Used for printing out information which does not affect the calculation such as dates and serial numbers. Figures are printed on the lefthand side of the paper.

Overflow Error Condition:

1. When the calculated result exceeds 12 digits.
2. Dividing by "0".
3. The sequential operation speed is faster than the calculation processing speed.

If you experience problems with the calculator, please press the RESET button at the back of the calculator. After resetting, be sure to set the calendar, clock, currency exchange and tax rate again.

Replacing the ink roller

1. Turn the power switch off.
2. Remove the printer cover. (Figure 1)
3. Lift the ink roll out from the roll holder. (Figure 2)
4. Install a new ink roll into position. (Figure 3)
5. Replace the printer cover. (Figure 4)

Installing printing paper

1. Lift up the paper arm. (Figure 5)
2. Place the new paper roll on the arm. The edge of the paper should be positioned as shown. (Figure 6)
3. Insert the paper into the slit at the back of the machine as indicated. (Figure 7)
4. Turn the power switch on. Press the paper feed key to advance the paper as shown.(Figure 8)
