  Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
• When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.
• Do not operate the machine without supervision. If you leave the room you should always turn the device off. Remove the plug from the socket.
• The device and the mains lead have to be checked regularly for signs of damage. If damage is found the device must not be used.

Do not use this device near baths, wash basins or other vessels containing water.

WARNING:

• This appliance may be used by children aged from 8 years up and by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge proved they do so under supervision or have been given instructions on how to use the appliance safely and understand the hazards involved.
  Children must not play with the appliance.
• Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children, unless they are supervised.
  The nozzles become hot during operation.
• If the hair dryer is used in the bathroom, remove the mains plug after use as water represents a hazard. This also applies when the hair dryer is switched off.
• Please ensure that the inlet grille remains free of fluff and hairs. Danger of fire!
• As additional protection we recommend the installation of a fault current protection device (FI/RCD) with a rated current of not more than 30mA in the wiring system of the bathroom. Please contact an authorised electrician for advice.

Intake grille, detachable

Commissioning

If required, attach the styling nozzle. This nozzle concentrates the airflow. Individual sections of hair can be dried well.

Press the styling nozzle gently to attach it to the housing.
Pull gently on the nozzle to remove it again.

Electrical Connection

Before inserting the plug into the socket. Make sure that the mains voltage to be used matches that of the device. You can find this information on the nameplate.
- Connect the device to a duly installed 230V, 50Hz protective contact socket.

Use

Tum the device on by the lower switch on the handle.

Select an air stream level on the handle (lower switch):

Position :off

Position : gentle stream of air

Position : strong stream of air

Setting the Temperature Level (upper switch):

Position : low temperature

Position ECO gentle drying and shaping.

Position : high temperature for rapid drying.

COOL SHOT (Cold Air)

With this switch you can stop the heating process.

Keep the button pressed according to the desired interval length. When the button is released it returned automatically to the initial position.

Switch-off

After use, turn the lower switch to be "0" position and remove the mains plug.

Storage

• Leave the device to cool before putting it away!
  Hang the device up by the suspension eye.

Mains Cable

The mains cable should only be wound up loosely.
- Never tie the cable tightly round the device, as over time this may result in the cable breaking.
- Check the mains cable regularly for damage.

Cleaning and care

WARNING:

Before cleaning remove the mains lead from the socket.
- Under no circumstances should you immerse the device in water for cleaning purposes. Otherwise this might result in an electric shock or fire.

CAUTION:

• Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.
• Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.

Clean the housing with a soft, dry cloth without additives.

Air Intake Grill

Please clean the grill on the air intake side of the hairdryer regularly in order to avoid excessive temperatures as a result of heat accumulation.

• Hold the intake grille on the markings and press in gently on the markings. Then pull off the grille towards the rear.
• Remove any dirt that is present.
  If necessary, a fine brush can be used.
• Close the grille by locking it into place.
